There's no way we can afford anything much for dd this year If bro is offering this it's fab
We'll just give her some clothes and hope she's happy

That would be a fab pressie for her Bianca

BiancaCastafiore · 18/04/2008 18:38

we've decided against the micky mouse MP3 - looks a bit too cheap and vunerable.
Bro has found no end of other pink models he's going to choose from, along with some pink speakers for her bedroom

I think she would like that...my DD1 would like that...she borrows my portable cd player ATM.....but it is old, and the discs jump all over the place!

Ludaloo · 18/04/2008 18:42

Especially the fact it is pink!

BiancaCastafiore · 18/04/2008 18:42

Feel a bit now for some reason...

Is it because I'd like to be able to buy her great presents and we just can't this year?

We'll give her a great party

OP posts:
Ludaloo · 18/04/2008 18:43

I feel just like you when it comes to their birthdays...don't feel though, a party will be fantastic, and they don't appreciate the cost of things just yet do they...

BiancaCastafiore · 18/04/2008 18:46

clothes are so boring though aren't they? (we have got her some v trendy skinny jeans- she tried them on already and looks fab in them )

I'll make sure the party is great, I'm sure I'll feel fine about it by next weekend.

She'd really like a wii. No chance!

DD wants a V smile pocket. Not into ds's yet. DS's have a ds each at their Dads.

BiancaCastafiore · 18/04/2008 18:53

DD has never heard of a ds lite or a v smile, thank goodness!

She will have great party memories too. I don't remember ever having a party! I feel that my lot miss out and then end up spending more than i can afford and the get annoyed with myself!
Trying to sort a party for DD1 too.

BiancaCastafiore · 18/04/2008 18:56

We did talk to dd about the present vs party option when we booked the magician for her party so she does understand a bit It just seems a shame....

Have just emailed a face painter for quote for DD1's party. Also found a ball pit hire that is £25 which doesn't seem bad. She said 'wow that's cool!'lol!
Might do what i did for DS2's last party at a hall which was not to do party food. Just drinks and cake. Could do pop corn and a few snacks.

Hello again ladies

EHM Glad you're on the mend
Saga Glad you like it I think the bloke is a complete genius and he is one of the nicest people I have ever met.

Ed's reception teacher singled me out for a word a collection time. Seems he's been a complete nightmare today, just being ignorant, defiant, doing things he knows are off limits and just doing his own thing. I think she was genuinly shocked, I was deeply and about it. DH has decended like a sack of rubble on him (making me feel like a hopeless mum tbh). New rules have been laid down. Ho hum

Good news is they are chuffed with his reading skills.

I don't know if I am doing the right thing with him now.

Did the weekly shop today. Some scrote kid nicked abox of beer from outside the house while I was bringing the shopping in. Bit miffed but it was only £10 in all honesty.

Getting giddy for the weekend

tortoise · 18/04/2008 19:55

Oh dear Go. I always worry when the teacher wants a word! Boys will be Boys! You aren't a hopeless mum. You do great things with him.

DD1 says her tummy hurts again. Funnily enough it started when i mentioned bedtime! She hates going to bed.

EHM · 18/04/2008 20:25

RR sorry for the confusion I was thinking of asking about seeing pics of your joint birthday present. then thought I had deleted it..sorry for being so boring. I think I'll give the nudey pics of dh a miss
tort I am sure the show would be great but very expensive. The ball pit hire sounds great lots of fun, with popcorn I would love that. I am sure the kids would too.You do great things with the kids & they will have lots of happy memories.
bianca my brother is only 24 this year & his gf 22 so they are young, but very mature & have just moved into their new house in Jan. The pg was a massive shock for them, then to find out that she is nearly 15 weeks, then to fined out its twins well what can you say. All of this without even trying. I have scan pictures of the twins. apparantly the scan indicated that they will be identical twins.I am sure dd will love the HSM stuff on a MPS player
grouchy you do great things with ed.
luda chewing gum...arrgh!

hope I haven't missed anybody off to pop a pill.x.x

tortoise · 18/04/2008 20:33

Thanks EHM. I want them to have better memories than i do!

TeenyTinyTorya · 18/04/2008 20:37

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't been on for a few days, I can't seem to keep on top of things at the moment. I'm rehearsing full time and looking after ds full time, so haven't been to bed before 2am the last few nights
I'm off to revise my baby steps!

tortoise · 18/04/2008 22:32

Measly 9 items added to Ebay turbo lister. Ready to upload when ever! I was hoping to get more done but i am tired after sitting up in bed keeping an eye on DD1 last night. Didn't sleep too well!
