luda thanks for the thread.ouch the rock must have been sore on your bum. what a daft pair we are.
tmh hope you are ok.legs cramps are awful.
FGS don't be hard on yourself, recovery can take time & sometimes longer than we would like, I know its hard to rely on other people when you are not used to it. You will be back on your feet before you know it.Hope dh is better soon. Can you parents help?
TTT good luck with your flying today.
shanna hi
dream have a good trip with ds.

Just spoken to duty dr, and she is writing me a repeat perscription for the strong painkillers I received last year. She also agrees that I should be refered for physio as the episodes of pain are becoming too frequent. Just called friend who lives near surgery & left message asing if she can collect perscription & meds for me.

sagacious · 15/04/2008 12:14

BIANCA I hope you're enjoying your day out .. sorry how old is DD ? (My DD turned 4 this past weekend and she has been ...er challenging to say the least this past week .. combination of Easter holidays/late nights and gawd knows)

ehm hope the meds work and you get physio soon

Afternoon All

Well the sun was shining now it is peeing down, put pay to our trip to the park this afternoon.

We have been shopping and got the essentials and ....... Alvin and Chipmonks, ot is so funny, so the boys can keep watching that this afternoon

Washing is now off the line and in the dryer and another load is waiting to go in the dryer

To Do

Mission
Hoover upstairs
Sort out dinner
Relax

Ludaloo · 15/04/2008 13:19

Its peeing it down here now too....

Have been into town to put a cheque in the bank and buy DD2 a Happy Meal....which she didn't eat she says her tummy hurt
Seems quite happy now we are home though so will have to keep an eye on her.

Bianca I hope you are out having a good day xx

Heaps of washing to do....on my second load and have 3 more to go!

OP posts:
DontDreamItBeIt · 15/04/2008 13:26

It is sunny here still It will wait til 3pm to rain....

We've done the museum and the library. Luckily it was a small roup at the museum so ds' non- sitting wasn't an issue
DP is here and getting on my nerves. He may or may not have a job, so is a bit strressed, but is faffing about when he could be helping, and genetrally making things harder for me.
I also understand the selfemployment stress (see above - last week he had to job, and now, nothing)

EHM - I hope the painkillers help. Physio was good fo me when my back was really bad, so worth a try.

Bianca - I hope you're out and following FGS' advice. Fingers crossed you have a good day.

Luda - I'm going to wait til everyone starts calling me DDIBI, then change my name back to Jas[evil]

Ludaloo · 15/04/2008 13:31

I have gardening club this afternoon.....could do without the rain so we can get out and do something, rather than doing stuff in the classroom all the time. It will be typically raining I know it!

Got some Polish bread at Tesco today. Scrummy toasted with lashings of marmalade

Janni · 15/04/2008 14:01

Hello everyone - nice weather here, for once!

bianca - sympathies. I've got a challenging DD (3).

Took DS1 for his first day at secondary school today. Luckily he had a late start as I was rushing round like a mad woman trying to get together everything he needed. Silly me - should have been prepared.

Took DS2 and DD to park. DS managed to make DD fall in a puddle and later, fall back and bang her head. Now he thinks he's an idiot and is sad .

Need to:
Tidy kitchen, do laundry, tidy living room, clean toilets

GO It seems specs are the ting at the mo.

I have to wait for mine as DH just paid £330 for his as the kids broke his. it was MY TURN He should buy stronger frames

BWB Waves to you too

Janni I am sure you were pretty organised. DS2 fell out the back door this morning - he has a red scrape on his forhead and nose Arnt all 3 year old challenging?

Whispers......

Just as well dp doesn't need glasses at all.

BiancaCastafiore · 15/04/2008 15:59

Hello

We did go on the trip, thanks for all your suggestions. I told dd we were going cos I wanted to see my friends. As always she was v remorsful once she realised how upset I was.
Sadly the stress of it all make me unbelievably ill on the way there We were very late. I wonder if we all have the edge of a bug too though as dd is so tired, I was very ill today and ds has a mildly upset tummy too.
Still I've just got home now. The kids have gone home with a friend who was worried about how ill I'd been (I feel it's perhaps time to share my anxiety with more friends in RLbut feel so stupid and ) Friend is even offering to give the kids supper but that feels a bit much (she has 3dcs herself)
It was a lovely outing once we got there, we all had fun Both children were nicely behaved

Dd is almost 7. I think she does something which makes us (me) cross then she gets angry with herself for doing whatever it was then can't move herself past the frustration and unfortuantly takes it out on me. She can be such a sweetie the rest of the time, but these moods are so difficult to deal with as they come out of nowhere.

Haven't really read the thread. Hope evryone else is having a good day x

BiancaCastafiore · 15/04/2008 16:00

TMH your boys are gorgeous!

Janni · 15/04/2008 16:09

Thanks TMH - no I really, really wasn't!!
Hope your DS is OK. I'm a bit of a nervous wreck at the moment with all the scrapes DD gets into!

Had a sneaky nap with DD so haven't done anything yet...better get on!

DontDreamItBeIt · 15/04/2008 19:04

Lovely pics TMH

to BWB Bianca - I'm really glad you decided to go out, and dds behaviour was ok once out. Try telling one of your rl friends. They are no more likely to judge you than we are (and I hope we haven't). As you've found on here, lots of people have similar problems to some exent, and you will probably be surprised by how understanding they are once you've broached the subject.

Well dp managed to spend all day busy and still do nothing again
We ahave argued alot, and have agreed on a different approach tomorrow.I am going to write a list of all the stuff he can do without leaving the house, and if he needs anything I go and get it. (He drives round 5 diy shops and buys nothing every ime he goes out)

BiancaCastafiore · 15/04/2008 20:11

I have told a couple of RL good friends and they've been understanding. I just don't feel the same about the more casual friends (iykwim?)

Very tired.

Dh and I are going to watch a dvd - can't remember the name, the one about Johnnie Cash. Then I'll have an early-ish night I hope.

FunkyGlassSocks · 15/04/2008 20:28

Well done Bianca. It is good to talk to people in RL about things.

DH is finally on the mend. I'm shattered. My knee is swollen as I've been on my feet all day

NotABanana · 15/04/2008 20:35

Just popping in to say hello and that I am getting bits done but will back to normal flying when the kids go back to school on Monday. Trying not to be on here too much when they are off.

TheMadHouse · 15/04/2008 20:39

Bianca Only 3 RL friends have any idea of what I have been through.

BiancaCastafiore · 15/04/2008 20:55

So how do you deal with it TMH? I find I'm miles better when it comes to getting about locally (a year ago I couldn't even walk the school run - now I do it 2 or 3 times a day! ) but I still struggle going to other peoples houses for fear of being ill...I just avoid the invites these days if I'm feeling remotely dodgy. I worry that I ought to explain to friends why I am constantly prefering them to come to my house... I just don't feel I can tell them. The 2 friends I feel I can trust know, but the others are totally different types of friends (very nice, but different)

Janni · 15/04/2008 21:09

Bianca - what you are going through sounds very tough.
TMH - well done for your day!

I've still got loads to do before bed, but DS1 had a great day at his new secondary school, which is a huge relief. I can see a whole new military operation ahead though, so he gets to school on time with all the necessary stuff!!
