Wanting my house like a hotel

A continous pile of fresh fluffy white towels
Fresh flowers
White, crisp bedlinen
Everything in its place
A fridge full of fresh food
A fully stocked larder
Drinks stocked, large ice cubes in the freezer

Anyone else relate?

I try my best
8 years working in 5 star hotels, even though it was years ago, doesn't give you realistic home standards 😂

I’d love it but my place would currently only get a 1* review on TripAdvisor

You and me both! 🙌

I could maybe relate.... if I was running the laundry room of a hotel. Constant washing, more washing and more washing.

Nah sounds massively wasteful to me, and a huge expense. No one dies wishing they’d cleaned their house more

I honestly don't spend much time cleaning at all. Because I hate it. However there are certain things you can do (minimal clutter, simple colour schemes, easy to clean floorings) which go a long way in keeping the house looking presentable with minimal effort.
we also don't have curtains and I'm sure the large amounts of natural light help making the house look brighter and cleaner. We also chose pale colours to decorate with which help keep it looking fresh
re towels I certainly don't wash them every use but they are hung up to dry after a good shake then I favour the rolling method once they are dry to put them neatly back in the unit. So it looks nice and full but without too much effort. I'm not a fan of excessive washing.
i use a lot of foliage from garden/hedges with reduced flowers where I can get them, have a couple of favoured seasonal spots where there are rampant roses etc and I like houseplants.

I favour all white bedding and only buy it in the most reduced section of the sales. When Debenhams closed down we bought enough bedding and towels at 80% off to last us a very long time

most of our stuff is ancient. I just look after it. I get loads of comments on how lovely our home is, I can assure you it's all done on smoke and mirrors !

It's so far away from my reality that I couldn't possibly relate sadly.
I can't even imagine calling my sheets and duvet cover 'bed linen'. And if I could I still wouldn't know how to get it crisp.

Agree, particularly if it involves an iron.
