Ruby i think you should go for it, you may be feeling fairly ok now, but as IC says it prob will be very beneficial for you in the long run.

TMH good luck at docs. am very shocked at the instructions to add salt- esp in that quantity!

Minkus well done on the big declutter

IC what a frustrating stage for you both. bless her, hope dd learns to do it soon

Well we've had lunch. i did pitta bread salad and some tuna and mackeral. was very yummy but now my lovely clean flat stinks of fish sons friend from upstairs came down just as we were finishing, and says oh wow you have proper lunch, we only get to go to the bakrs today. LOL mine would love to go to the bakers but I'm too tight ok well broke, and trying to use up what we have in fridge and freezer before we go away.
anyway off to do some ironing now. have just done todays mission, feel i cheated a bit as i did this when the kitchen was fly zone last time, so all i had to do was starighten the cupboard, the tupperware one never looks tidy for long

Ruby Please dont think that a death has to be unnatural or unexpected to qualify as a death - you experiance pain etc in equal quantities.

A wise person once told me that the pain you feel when someone dies is comensurate to the love you felt when they were alive

TheMadHouse · 08/04/2008 13:41

Luda calling Luda are you OK today??

I am worried you are ususally about

Hi Everyone

I have had a read but most of it did not stay in my head. So a big thankyou for all your birthday wishes. I had a mixed day but it was still a good day in the end.

Sorry I did not come back on Sunday. DS1 played up when mum and DD were out and it took its toll on me. After talking to DS1, he said he wanted to stay at home for my birthday. To see him before we talked though it was like he did not want to be here at all. Anyway he stayed with us until 8pm last night and we had a good day. I get so upset when he goes but I know that he needs to as it will make him better in the long run. Mind you he did take a lot of food with him so he could have a little party whith his new friends.

Thanks to Tort for saying about making a cake and then the DC decorating it, Mum done the same here. They really had fun yesterday and the cake was very very yummy.

Im having a good day today and I have been cleaning the worktops in the kitchen. Im hoping to clean the draws out this afternoon. Mum has gone out to the shops with DS2 and DD and is going to the park on the way back.

I better go and get some lunch.

I hope your DS1 has a great day Tort and he did not wake you too early.

HN xxx

Ruby In think you have summed up the reason you need some help "I can not even drive past the hospice"

FunkyGlassSocks · 08/04/2008 13:52

Ruby - I think counselling would do you good.

TMH - like the analaogy obout feelings for death equating to love.

Friends over this morning. Total chaos. More over this afternoon. It is so frustrating being stuck in....

Bewilderbeast · 08/04/2008 13:57

why is it that when you work for hours decluttering something men immediately go and clutter it up again

hello everyone

TheMadHouse · 08/04/2008 14:19

BWB I am planning to have such a clutter free house that even one bit of man clutter would stand out and DH would feel guilty.

However in reality that is unlikley to happen so I given him special placed to put things ie a wicker pot at the front door for his keys, car keys, change and pocket stuff when he comes in from work. A place to put his paperwork etc

grouchyoscar · 08/04/2008 14:35

TMH Great idea but it will never work I'm afraid. Seems that you, me and BWB have the same other half: If there's a clear space it must be for MY stuff

Well I've done the hot spot, It was getting a bit big.
Put bins out
Cleaned hob
Lit a joss sick to get shut of paint pong
Tidied the front room
Vacced downstairs
Put some activities out for Ed for this aft.

I wonder if DH will notice that the door has been painted

Calling Luda I miss you too

WARNING RANT

I have just waiting 50 bloody mins in the doctors with a screaming DS2 and a jumping DS1, so I ask how many more in front only to be told we are next - yeh right two more people go infront of me.

I go in to the locum and expalin about my back and that I am taking paracetamol and 400mg of ibrofen. He tells me that he will give me the same - cue ranting woman. It is not enough I need stronger painkillers - are you going to carry my 21 month old and change his nappies, are you going to dress them and put them in their care seats and buggy. He then says I can have some co-codamol 8mg/500. So I told him to stick it as I can get them over the counter cheeper. In the end he gives me a scrip for 30/500s, but the chemist is busy so I just left it. Why do male doctors just assume we will have help

TeenyTinyTorya · 08/04/2008 16:22

Thanks for good luck! Audition was for a short film, I'm just looking for jobs to fill in before I next go on tour. Went quite well, so I'll find out tomorrow. Just going to start the housework now.

TMH sounds like you had a rotten time at the doctors - I hate having to wait ages when ds is upset.

Everyone has such impressive lists! I'll be lucky if I get the ironing done tonight. Ah well, baby steps!

I will collect the tablets when DH comes in. I feel better for that rant. I think it is just a man thing.

Good Luck Teeny You must have managed your babystep today - getting dressed

dylsmum1998 · 08/04/2008 16:48

TMH arent doctors wonderful!!

Ruby how about a compromise let daughter help a bit and then "fix" any real problem areas later

Tinytiny fingers crossed that you get the part. i must have missed something tho- what do you do on tour?

EHM you must have got up early to do all that before 9.30

Luda where are you??

i have just had a lovely afternoon at the strand with dc. have come back and sofa and rug are now dry so have put the cushioons back on, can sit comfortably after dinner.
just decluttered car. need to stop and hoover it at petrol station at some point this week and jet spray if it not raining.

left to do
put away the washing i irioned before we went out

and hoover i'm sure when they have finished playing with the playdough

off now to cook the dinner

grouchyoscar · 08/04/2008 17:47

for you TMH. That's foul service it really is

Fingers crossed TTT

Bad mum alert...he didn't like his sandwich for lunch (chicken and garlic mayo) Gave him a ham butty and pom-bears for a post school snack and he's having minestrone for tea (how he can eat soup with his fingers is beyond me)

Ed is off with the faries today (says his teacher) but his reading is improving (yay) He does seem very tired tho. Big bath and an early night I think

I'll say cheery bye for today.

Ludaloo · 08/04/2008 18:22

Awww you lot, its nice to be missed I'm ok...DH has been hogging the computer big time...and as we are not speaking I can't shift him off it!
I was out this afternoon and he was in all morning, so no chance.

I haven't read through the thread at all I'm sorry...but hello to one and all...and thanks again you are all so nice

Teeny Tour in what????

Luda Calling luda, come in luda, earch to Luda is all OK

Ludaloo · 08/04/2008 18:30

Oh cripes...we have started babysteps! Oh no...I will have to catch up! God I can't do anything ATM, my mind is completely elsewhere! My friend reminded me at least twice to deliver a letter to my neighbour, and I still left it on her kitchen table I'm so not with it!

DH and I are at some weird stage where both of us don't want to be here, but neither of us want to leave the kids or the house Neither of us can afford to either! I guess we will either make up eventually or one of us will crack and HAVE to go God I'm soooooo tired being me!

Ludaloo · 08/04/2008 18:31

I'd very much like to Ruby !!!

TeenyTinyTorya · 08/04/2008 18:34

LOL TMH, yep I did get dressed before I left the house!
