morning
not a good day here, I will try to fly

dylsmum1998 · 27/03/2008 06:55

well I'm up and about early today trying to make sure my morning routines are done and the flat doesn't look too bad. My neat freak friend is visiting this morning! she always makes me feel totally inadequate at keeping things tidy. her house is picture perfect always, i try to remind myself, my children live here and have fun- lots of it , but still sends me into a panic when she rarely visits. I always make reasons to go to hers so i don't end up in a tizzy trying to sort everything out
well must crack on, will try and catch up with yesterdays posts later

Ludaloo · 27/03/2008 07:33

Morning saga

TheMadHouse · 27/03/2008 07:47

Morning all

Luda the sun is shining here and it seems to be a nice day

Dyls I echo Jas really couldnt look after LO's and study

Well I am shattered the play house turned up at 6.40 this morning. DS1 had wet the bed again, so the blokes got a naked todler and a grumpy mummy, as DH had already left for work.

We are shopping today and DS2 has his MMR oh what a treat /

I also need to speak to the GP re the referral, as I think I need iron now, as it is like wading through treakle at the madhouse at the moment. I am so tired, but making sure I do not fall off the wagon as not sure I have the energy to get back on

anyway off to dress the mini mads

FunkyGoldStar · 27/03/2008 09:01

Morning all.

Feeling much better today. DH and I have worked out that my erratic moods, irritability, depression and sadness are probably down the the pill. I started taking it 3 months ago and havent been quite right since. Plant to take it until I've got over the op as I dont want to have a long period while I'm on crutches.

Anyway, out this morning and then will try and have a goody tidy up when DD1 is at pre-school this afternoon.

DontDreamItBeIt · 27/03/2008 09:19

That sounds logical FGS. I hope you can find something that works for ou once you are over the op.

TMH Are you boosting your diet where you can? If there is a problem with absorbtion of vitamins and minerals (Likely as you seem to be low in lots) then tablets probably won' have a huge impact...B12 can be given as an injection can't it?

I need to do a list to get myself mtivated today. Sorry.
Morning
1 Make bed done
2 Washing machine done
3 Breakfast INCLUDING ME done
4 Wash up/shine sink
5 Wipe table/high chair
6 Clear surfaces
7 Packed lunches done
8 What's for tea?
9 Sweep the kitchen floor
10 Swish and swipe
Afternoon
11 15 min declutter
12 mission
13 Where's the washing?
14 2 min hotspot
Thursday
Mop floor
30 mins kids room
Clean wheelie bin
Bathroom
Sort out dps clothes

TheMadHouse · 27/03/2008 09:27

Jas I have a good diet which is why there is such concern - I used to be veggie, so know all the tricks. No tea or coffee, take orange with the iron aid absorbsion etc. I have been taking what spatone I had left from being preg with fresh orange to no avail

The problem is iron makes me sick, which doesnt help. I think the GP is waiting for the gastro consult to make a diagnosis. I am hoping I can get it on my Private Health care.

Apparently I may need a B12 infusion, along with an iron infusion, but he wants me to cope until they find out why - dont think I can, but then I cope with everything else

TheMadHouse · 27/03/2008 09:28

FGS I had the coil fitted in November and it has been great. Fitting was a doddle - no pain nad I do not even know it has been there. Bleeding pretty much non existant. No peiods to speak off, just light blled enough for a liner.

Pill is no good for me

TheMadHouse · 27/03/2008 09:33

Oh and Bainca and EHM where are you?????? Are you alright????????? Are you in hiding??????????

FunkyGoldStar · 27/03/2008 09:33

TMH - hope they get to the bottom of it for you. Coil is no good for me as my periods are so heavy.

I was wondering where Bianca and EHM were....we miss you!!!!!

Ruby I'm a bit like you, in that I lead a single parent life a lot of the time, as DH is SE and works long hours, and most weekends. I was also getting worn down by it all.

I think my life is a bit brighter since I started my diet and fitness plan. I go to aerobics twice a week, and swimming once a week. It doesn't sound a lot but those few hours doing something for myself really have helped.(It usually means I see a little less of DH in the evening, but its hardly noticable really)
Plus I have more energy and self esteem these days. I think it has spurred me to do lots of things I wouldn't normally consider....I'm doing the Race For Life in June, I've started to look into college courses and just generally feel a bit more optomistic about finding MYSELF again!
I guess you just need to find something you enjoy, which will keep you thinking positively and you can spend some time concentrating on YOU.
You'll get there I am sure

Madwelshwoman · 27/03/2008 10:51

A very good morning to you all ladies

Well the car passed the mot with flying colours!!!! So that is a load off my mind.

Plus whilst I was wandering the shops waiting for it I picked up some shelf kits for dd's room in Tesco reduced from £3 to just 74p!

Anyway not much done today so far except Tesco shop but here goes:

to do
Make beds
laundry
take littlies and mutt to park
general tidy up everywhere
dust
vac upstairs and down
still need to freecycle old junior bed
sort recycling and dump at tip

Think that's it for today???

My slight hangover seems to be morphing into flu like symptoms... oh yippee

Flying suspended (I never really got off the runway TBH)

Ludaloo · 27/03/2008 11:04

Ruby could you maybe do a OU/distance learning type course? I did a Post graduate certificate by long distance with South Bank University in London. The vast majority of the course was done at home. I had to go to London for the occasional lecture, (I think I went twice in the year)but other than that it was all done by sending coursework to them etc.

Maybe you could find a course you could do like that?

Here is SBU website just as an example?

LOL....you were obviously destined to do it!

BiancaCastafiore · 27/03/2008 11:59

Hello

Thanks for missing me
Where is EHM? I'll txt her later to say hello from everyone

I have been busy with work, helping at school and general RL with no time to get on the comp

I've been shopping today nad trested myself to a new denim skirt in a size 12 () and a couple of new tops in the Fat face sale - dh was home when I got in so I've been modeling them for him Think I'll wear the skirt for the rest of the day...

I'm going to try to have a quick skim through the thread...

Ruby hope you're OK, you sound much like a few of us really, trying to re-discover yourself after time with the kids...I'm in a similar position. Finding work isn't an issue as I work for family although I do feel increasingly as though that career isn't what I would have chosen - at least it fits well around family life so I shouldn't complain.
TMH Sorry you're finding things tough atm. You sound like me re anxiety, I get v&d when I'm anxious, I get anxious because I get v&d - a vicious circle. Lots of love to you x
Saga get well soon (if flu) serves you right if not - wine mid-week - tut!
Dyls thanks for thread
FGS sounds sensible re the pill x I've never taken it but know a few friends who haven't got on with it at all. I keep contemplating a coil but am not sure...

Need to go and unpack supermarket shop as ice cream will be melting in the sunshine (still in boot of car ) Both kids have freinds back for supper tomorrow so I've cheated and bought pizza and ice-cream - all kids like that, right?

Better dash. Also have to help with arts and crafts at school this pm and have a friends 8mth old baby for the eve later

BBFN x
