Morning Guys,

DD1 going to pre-school and I have a friend coming over for a cuppa this morning. Will try and fit in some housework in between.

TheMadHouse · 26/03/2008 08:42

Morning all

I have had to put all DS2's bedding in the wash as he had an accident. Cant complain really he is only just three and has been dry for 3 weeks.

Morning routines nearly done, we are not going out this am, as I am waiting for a call from the doctors regarding my blood tests at 10.30, so I am going to spend some quality time playing with the boys.

No more decorating for a while now as DH has gone back to work

Madwelshwoman · 26/03/2008 09:26

Morning all

MH aw bless him sounds like he's doing really well with the toilet training
FGS Enjoy the cuppa, housework will still be there later!
Luda Grey and miserable here too kids are gutted as they wanted to go to the park

Anyway today the HV is around for ds2 and the car has to go for it's MOT, I hate taking it in I get so paranoid it'll need tons of stuff doing to it (completely irrational fear)

Also need to clean out critters as I didn't have chance yesterday plus sort out the dodgy curry smell that's lurking in the kitchen (I blame post-footy dh)

Aside from that usual routines and trying to get some semblance of order in the house! Garden is another matter though

Have a good day ladies!

DontDreamItBeIt · 26/03/2008 09:56

Morning

Our MOT is due soon, but in our case it isn't an irrational fear that it will need loads of work. Last year it was cheaper to buy a new (old) car than pay for all the parts the big car needed. We did sort it eventually, but I am really hoping this year we can just scrap the thing.

FGS - Sorry I didn't answer yesterday. I do remember the jacket....gad dd is enjoying it

TMH I hope you get your call on time.

I'm killing time before I go for a smear this morning. I've washed up and swept up the lightbulb ds got hold of and smashed on the kitchen floor, but still need o mop it (It broke into a million pieces)

I've also done two letters I should have done ages age, so I'll post them on my way to the drs.

Minkus · 26/03/2008 10:02

Hello Everyone

Gosh it's quiet in here!

Not posted in a while as Easter weekend put a bit of a spanner in the (house)works and ds/dh been ill again so I have been a bit busy!

But have been keeping up a modicum of flying, did a more thorough clean yesterday and it didn't take too long as the basics were done so was v pleased.

DS still a bit under the weather although not ill so another mummy and boy day today, got some friends coming over for a playdate too which will be a bit of a break for me!

Hope everyone is keeping well, not had a chance to catch up on the gazillions of posts that I will have missed! xx

intravenouscoffee · 26/03/2008 10:09

Morning all. Been away for Easter so trying to catch up a bit today. Don't see how the house gets messy when we're not here but it still looks in need of a good tidy. Have done morning routine and just catching up on some of the house blessing. Shopping later cos we have no food so not stressing too much about the dusting!

Luda Thanks of the thread. Looks like you've been busy this morning
FGS Enjoy the cuppa and chat
MWW Our car went for MOT last week and I was convinced they'd ring me and tell me it needed condemning but was all okay.
TMH Hope all is okay with the bloods

Ludaloo · 26/03/2008 10:09

Hello again ALL (did you miss me?)

Was out doing holiday things for Ed yesterday. We went to the Narrow Gague Railway in Hudderfield, hang on, it was more Barnsley way which was a bit of a trek on public transport! Picnic on the train, ride on a donkey, Easter egg hunt, hug from the Easter Bunny, a bendy ballon and a bouncy castle or two. Ed had a lovely time and a full day out for under £15 isn't bad really.

Was going to take him to the local rare breeds farm today but the weather is foul. I'm trying to coax him to IKEA but he has adopted his Dad's attitude to the place. I think we'll make treats instead

Ruby I read your posts yesterday and I know what you mean. I have a huge list of good intentions but they foul up and I lose heart.

Done some FLYing today

Make beds
Draw curtains
Hang wet washing to dry
Take damp washing to TD, Load and run
Make Ed's brekkie
Empty DW
Clear Drainer
Put away
Tidy bottom dresser cupboard
Tidy the cleaning cupboard
Change kitchen light bulb
Change bedroom lightbulb (Involved hauling stepladders up 2 flights of stairs
Dust light fitting/fan (ewwwh)
Empty TD and take upstairs

Is it only 10:15...must organise something...'Ed what do you fancy doing?'

Ludaloo · 26/03/2008 10:17

Ooooh sounds interesting RR you'll have to let us know how it went.

I am going to take them out today come hell or high water! They are driving me NUTS!

Ludaloo · 26/03/2008 10:20

Hi GO your day out sounds like a complete bargain! brilliant fun and cheap too!

OP posts:
TheMadHouse · 26/03/2008 10:21

Ruby Cource sounds interesting

I have played with the boys colouring, but now they are watching cars again!!! Gives me change for a cuappa anyway.

I have my counceller coming after I have dropped DS1 off at Pre school. I am pretty much finnished and we are just looking at ways to notice the depression returning. I have to say the treatment I have received from the mental health team has been fantastic. I am not going back to GP care and am still going to see the consultant every three months for the forseeable future, but I am OK with that as is DH.

Groucy I missed ya - Have you been to the Eureka Museum at Halifax????

Waves to Minkus and IVC

Grouchyoscar · 26/03/2008 10:32

Ruby Child protection is interesting. I've done it for my job for the council. I imagine it will be more intense for you as a School Govenor. I feel that my role is to pass the info up the line TBH.

TMH We've done Eureka but I don't think Ed was that impressed TBH I have Tropical World in Leeds on the list (Total bargain at £3 per adult) Thing is most places are outdoor and the weather is so poor.

RUBY I doubt you can say anything too shocking. My feeling is that you document all concerns and inform Social Services. They take it from there

Ludaloo · 26/03/2008 11:19

Hmmmm I seem to have done all the housework already!
Just a hoovering to do.

Waiting for DH to come home for lunch, then I can have the car. Will go into town with the kids this afternoon...see if I can tire them out at all!

No Bianca today? Hope all is well.

Right, they are all colouring in, so I might just do the hoovering, then we are all set.

OP posts:
DontDreamItBeIt · 26/03/2008 11:36

I'm back, and it was fine, so no more smear testing for 3 years (assuming results are fine too)

CP course sounds interesting. I keep considering becoming a governor at the dds school.....maybe when ds is at school as well. Too much commitment for me at the moment.

TMH - Having the link wih the mh team sounds good, so you can always get in touch informally if things seem to be getting bad again

Your day out sounds lovely GO

Well I've got 1.5 hours to clean up, then I am going out again. Better go and feed ds and do something with the wet washing....

FunkyGoldStar · 26/03/2008 11:42

Aaargh, Just burst into tears on the phone to catalogue company. They have messed up delivery of DD1s bed so now it isnt coming until 2 weeks time and I wanted it here and made before my op. The drawers came and were broken so they have to collect but they're making everything so difficult.

TheMadHouse · 26/03/2008 11:49

FGS Why oh why do they make things so hard

Jas Good news avbout the smear

Right ladies - blood results are not good low iron 8.9 and B12 level and also some of my other mineral levels low too. So I am going to see a gastorentorologist re my bowel issues. TMI Alert - I havbe always put it dowwn to my anxiety, I get diarea when anxious, I get anious cause I have diaoria. Doctors thinks I might have chrones or collitis (MUM has both) . I need to get this resolved before ovary operation
