Morning EHM Thanks for the thread.

I have a scan appointment, just to check that it is Kidney Stones, but the doctor seemed to think they will pass through on their own. There isn't any treatment, unless they are too big to pass, in which case they need to be removed. He said they are usually only about the size of a grain of sand, so should pass through to the kidney eventually (they get stuck in the tubes on the way down to the kidney apparently, and scrape along as they go, which is why blood gets into your urine)
The symptoms are nausea, stomach pains, back pain, blood in your urine, cloudy urine or pain whilst urinating...I have all those apart from the painful wee!
Just have to drink lots and lots and hope they pass through soon.
I have stopped feeling so sick now, but still have stomach ache, and slight back ache. (thank you for asking ....bet you wish you hadn't )

Anyway.....

On to today, not going to toddler group, as I still don't feel so great, and DD2 has sticky eyes, which I don't want to spread about!
Must get on and tidy up, finish the kids packed lunches, get them dressed and off to school...oh and not forget their gym kits (I always do!)

Hope all the poorlies are on the mend

Ludaloo · 13/03/2008 07:38

You are too kind EHM Ruby Pink I think, would look prettier in the jar

DontDreamItBeIt · 13/03/2008 07:41

I agree, no such thing as too much information

A Big round of applause for EHM and the personal messages

Isn't Ruby already onstage? I have memories of sparkly shoe requests and childrens entertaining....Wasn't that Ruby??

DS has been up for an hour and a half, watchig milkshake while I dozed (There are definite advantages to sleeping on the sofa bed.)
So when we are late for school it will be all my own fault.

Better go do dd1s porridge.

sagacious · 13/03/2008 07:43

Morning routine
Clean tv screen
Water plants
Sweep floor
Eat healthily

Laters

sagacious · 13/03/2008 07:46

x post Hi dream
Hope you enjoyed Torchwood last night, did you watch next weeks episode on BBC3 .. It really creeped me out.. sadly I also think Capt Jack is getting a bit [gasp] old and jowly [fickle] and seems to be wearing far too much eyeliner [world in tatters] [denial he's gay]

BiancaCastafiore · 13/03/2008 08:04

I agree about Capt Jack saga The eyeliner is getting a bit out of control

Luda glad you're feeling a bit brighter today. Was good to catch up yesterday, sorry for the me, me, me convo though

EHM parents eve was great Dd got a really really glowing report as a good all-rounder, on target or above in reading, handwriting and maths. She has relaxed again about school over the past couple of weeks and the teacher says she's a joy to have in the class

Dream and Ruby hello (sorry, rushing now - dd is reading this over my shoulder and annoying me )

I felt really sick by bedtime last night and a bit dodgy today. Hopefully it'll pass...

I have to go onto work for a few hours today - I have a meeting with a member of staff who is unhappy at her days being changed....I'm pretty nervous about it tbh!

Inbetween that I want to carry on in the spare room, I made a good start yesterday

DontDreamItBeIt · 13/03/2008 08:21

sag -I know, Captain Jack is awful. I didn't like the bbc3 episode much at all tbh, but then I only really watch it in the hope that James Masters will be back

Bianca - I'm glad parents eve was good. It must be a relief that dd is happier.
When is the scan Ludaloo?

Ludaloo · 13/03/2008 08:22

Morning Dream (soooo can't get used to that name!)
Morning saga

Bianca Glad parents evening went well Well done to DD
Hope you stop feeling dodgy

Deary me, we all need putting in a bag and shaking up don't we (as my dad would say!)

Ludaloo · 13/03/2008 08:28

No idea Dream I'm waiting to hear from the hospital. The doctor did say that if the symptoms had gone by the time the scan comes through to cancel. I have to go back next week with another urine sample then.

FunkyGoldStar · 13/03/2008 08:30

Morning Guys.

Luda - hope you feel better soon.

EHM - DD2 is still grumpy and tired. The earlier sun is making both DDs wake earlier so they are more tired than normal . The cold is still around but I'm hoping it wont last much longer.

I re-arranged my kitchen yesterday so got the microwave in from the utility (garage) and moved the toaster, bread bin etc. As a result it looks tidier and I cleaned as I went along. I'm not doing any deep cleaning at the moment as just doing the basics.

Date for my knee op is end of March so I'll try and get the house sorted by then so it can do without housework for a couple of weeks. DH will hoover and tidy.

Anyway, out for a lot of today so have a good day everyone.

TrinityfeelslikeahopelessRhino · 13/03/2008 08:36

dream like the sound of the snoozing on/off.
biancaglad all is good with school for dd
fgs we are having a nightmare with ellie for weeks now. It appears a battle she doesn't want to be alone is her bedroom when she wakes in the night. we have had periods of 2 hours at a time settling her, putting her down, crying we leave her so is fine for about 5 mins or more then the cycle continuesShe is a start during the day I am sure you will be very organised with everything before your op.
sage I think Cpt J is handsome although went right off him when he was on a jimmy carr quiz. very odd sense of humour very inappropriate even for an adult. (iam sure he is devastated knowing I no longer find him attractive, especially with he not being gay)

PS ladies more hormones are at dangerous period type levels this morning. I wanted to stab dh in the eye this morning as he asked 'what I had planned for the day?' HOW VERY DARE HE!

Right breakfested, showered & dressed. Must brush teeth, do ellie's packed lunch as we are going to soft play at 11 with friend & her daughter. Mini Moovers at 10.

Morning all

I was much more upbeat about everything and the consultant yesterday was lovley. So ovaries and tubes out poss in May and coil to remain in place, plus oral oestrogen for HRT. Keyhole hopefull. I had all my pre op stuff including bloods yesterday too, but have had a call and my iron level is 9.8 arggggggggggggg

It was low all pregnancy and iron tablets make me sick. SO I am off to the doctors this afternoon to discuss,

We are off to soft play this morning and then DS1 going to my mums so I can shop with DS2 for his birthday tea on Sunday.

EHM · 13/03/2008 08:52
