Ludaloo · 12/03/2008 14:44

Puppydog I was thinking exactly the same thing!
I'd become a cleaner for £65 per week too!

Ludaloo · 12/03/2008 14:50

Just googled for some cleaners prices. £8.99 per hour on average!

Ludaloo · 12/03/2008 14:52

Well I have tidied the house, wasn't a great deal to do really as DH has kept on top of it so well.
Fingers crossed as there is no sickness yet! (I do hope they have passed through now!)
Off to get the kids shortly.

dylsmum1998 · 12/03/2008 15:35

hi Scatty.
your little one will get there in her own time, it took a while for my son.

DD is doing well, although no extra washing as she thinks no nappy= no clothes, at all. she strips off. i put knickers on her when we went to put rubbish out and when we got back she shout wee as she was just letting go, and refused to put anymore on afterwards lol.

hello haven't done any fllying today ma has vacuemed but i wan tto sort out some cubords how does the 15 minute thing work

PuppyDogTails · 12/03/2008 16:17

For £65 they do basic clean of the whole house and do detailed cleaning of 2 rooms - it's only 3 bedrooms so no mansion. No window cleaning or ironing, just the basic stuff that you'd expect like dusting, hoovering, cleaning kitchen and bathroom. I saw her write £65 down and assumed that was per month

babyjjbaby · 12/03/2008 16:19

thats alot thats our food bugdet for a week lol maybe i won't be getting a cleaner to come and do our bathroom

BiancaCastafiore · 12/03/2008 16:28

Agh, school have just rung with a cancellation of a parents eve slot for today (now - 4.30) so we have to get ourselves ready and go in. We were due to go in tomorrow but today is better for us tbh so i couldn't really say no. Just waiting for dh to get home and trying to calm all my usual anxieties...

Dd will have to have a picnic tea at the school as we'll have to rush her to Rainbows at 5.15.

Very tired today so although I started in the spare room I've really just been moving stuff about in a fairly meaningless fashion....must try harder to stay motivated!

Hope everyone's OK, sorry, haven't read the thread, am really just here to calm my nerves!

DontDreamItBeIt · 12/03/2008 16:31

That is all of our food budget! It does sound alot!
My friend pays £20 for two ladies to come round for an hour. They do all the basics downstairs and sometimes upsairs as well (she has a big house, and lots of children and it is very messy. I know they would do more if it was tidy to start with.)

Deep breaths Bianca. At least you haven't got time to get yourself worked up!

Scatty - Sounds just like my dds. I found it quite depressing at the time, but no one cares now whether they were potty trained at 2, 3 or 4

can sopme1 tell me how u do the 15minute decluttering thing i need to sort ou thte cuboards

DontDreamItBeIt · 12/03/2008 18:39

Babyjj 15 minutes decluttering
Basically just set your timer and get started. If they are big cupboards, just do one shelf at a time. Empty the shelf, clean if needed, put back the stuff you want to keep, put rubbish in a bag, recycling/charity shop/give away stuff in a bag/box, and stuff to go elsewhere in a bag/box. If you are finished quickly enoough, sart the next one. and when your 15 mins is up, go and put the stuff in bags and boxes in the right places.

I use the 15 min theory to do almost everything.Whichever room I am working in I don't leave it. (that is when you get distracted and don't finish)until my time is up, and if I can, I reset the imer for anoher 15 mins

(Most mobile phones have timers, but only discovered mine after I bought a new one for FLYing

DontDreamItBeIt · 12/03/2008 18:40

Oh, these threads often go quiet in the evenings, so don't be surprised if you don't get more answers til tomorrow.

babyjjbaby · 12/03/2008 20:19

tortoise · 12/03/2008 21:13

TMH Sorry missed your message last night. meeting was cancalled! She phoned me in the morning and asked if she was suppose to visit then said she can't make it now!

Not caught up on the rest of the thread so hope all are ok.

DD1 went to school today and is fine. her teacher on the other hand, isn't! She was off today with the bug.
DD2 was fine last night. No idea what the tummy ache was.

WM is all fixed. cloth had gone between the rubber and the drum and jammed it. 3 loads of washing done so far! loads still to be done and dried!

tortoise · 12/03/2008 21:15

EHM Not heard from DS1. They don't get to phone home. Missing him. It is much quieter though! No arguements with DS2!
