Very boring one sorry!
I'm looking at the Tota laundry hamper and wondering if it's worth spending that much money on a laundry bag. .and also has anyone found a similar one cheaper?

what about towels? I go through a lot in my house, does it take a full load of them?

If you're addicted to Joseph Joseph but can't always justify the price I have found things in TK Maxx. It's a long game and not guaranteed but I have got several pieces over the years

The plastic rim holding the bag up is very sturdy. And the bags are strong.

Definitely NOT worth it.

I have it. Don't regret buying it as saves us carrying piles of dirty laundry down the stairs.

But none of my family figured out how to put white and colours in separate bags. You might have more luck though....

That looks like it would fit about 3 pairs of men's joggers and a pair of socks.

We have a divided John Lewis.water hyacinth basket. 40C then in the dryer on the left, more careful wash on the right. It fits a fair few loads in but I M afraid that if DH puts his delicate wash linen shirts in the left hand side, they get tumble dried because I'm not fixing his mistakes. He seems to be paying more attention to the labels since I shrank his favourite hoodie.

I've been looking in tkmaxx as they do have a lot of their products but they've not had the laundry basket at any point.

I've had a look at all the others mentioned on the thread but they don't look as nice as the jj one to me.
I think I'd go for the double not triple, I do laundry almost everyday so they would get emptied a lot anyway.

Do you have one? If so, in what way?
With the cash back, it's about £55 so tempted.

I'm eyeing this up at the moment.
People who have the double one, do you have the 60 or 90 litre size?
How often do you fill up a bag and how many people use it?

I have the double 60l. I use it for darks and lights. Only for myself. My dc have different baskets in bedrooms.
it takes about a week to fill each bag. I don’t use it for towels or bedding.
i really do love it although it is expensive and I can understand why people say it’s flimsy, the outer material isn’t rigid. I paid full price when it just came out but I believe they have came down in price.

I got the double and got my cash back.
It does take up room and its not rigid like it looks in the photos but I absolutely love it.
It's easy to separate clothes and you carry whichever bag you want out. It's also easy to clean the inner bags.
We're a large family and it does get filled up quickly but that's because the sheer amount of clothes my dc get through!

Its quite ugly OP. Very functional but not very pretty - i wouldn't like it out on display. .

Also, seen you are a family of 5. We are 7 here so solidarity. The thing that worked for me was giving everyone thier own small one load laundry bag. When its full they bring it down and i wash just that persons clothes. Its quick to seperate as not much in it. Its stopped the endless piles of clothes being sorted. I do tumble dry everythjng though.

I saw you're update but all I was going to say is that I think it does depend on the style of your house. We have one in a prominent position (to try to encourage the kids to use it!) and I think it looks quite nice. It probably is fair to say it isn't pretty, I wouldn't say it's ugly though, I would probably say it works best with a modern minimalistic style of decor.

We're currently just a family of 3, and DS is only 21 months, so currently use a 45 litre cheap £5 pop up mesh basket but I'm looking to upgrade and debating which size to go for.
DH and I both wear a lot of black so laundry is currently split into 30 degree adult dark wash, 40 degree toddler wash and a hot wash for towels, bedding etc.
I like the idea of being able to take out the inner bag to carry down to the washing machine rather than bringing the whole basket down.
90 litres is probably too big for us now but we have the space for it and as DS grows up we'll probably have more laundry.
Hmmmmm.

I think the 90l will be a good size for a family of 3, I suspect the 60l might be too small

the kids has 2 x of these (one for dark and lights)
my toddler has already been trained to sort her own laundry into dark and light 🙌🙌🙌🎉🎉🎉

we the. have the wide version x2 in our en-suite (dark and light) for us along with one of these things for delicates and “annoying” clothes that can’t be washed as normal

pre-sorting clothes is a revelation and total game changer

I got one in the Black Friday deal, I only wanted the foldable laundry basket and that was on offer with a twin tota for £60.
I hate it, but am pretending I'm liking it as DH told me not to buy it 😅
The foldable one for clean wet/dry laundry is fabulous though.

I got one of these 2 weeks ago from Costco. Was about £50. I love it. Very easy to get the bags out and take laundry downstairs and no escaping socks on the stairs!!

I bought this in the John Lewis sale - love it! Saves me time sorting through the laundry and has actually cut down the number of loads I do a week because it's easier to see how much laundry of each type there is.
Plus, it looks so much smarter in the hallway and my toddler enjoys using the lid as a shield.
