LOL @ ruby's piccie

DontDreamItBeIt · 04/03/2008 14:46

Welcome sparkly Ruby I have posted on your thread

I've done nothing. I had friends round all afternoon instead. The dds are both finishing at 4 today so I've got an extra hour to do something.

scattyspice · 04/03/2008 15:03

Thanks for the tip FGS (another use for baby wipes, where would we be without them?).

Have very tidy builders (even put tea mugs in the sink)!
Off to get DS from school then do laundry and dusting.
Will tackle hall hotspot ().

Hello sparkly. I'm a minamilist flyer.

babyjjbaby · 04/03/2008 15:26

i am just having a cup of coffe whilst he is asleep will start in a minute hones nothigns been done today yet

sushistar · 04/03/2008 15:35

Hey sparkly! i don't reall fly as such - just do bits and bobs...

Someone on this thread last weeks suggested menu planning to me- I can't remember who?

Anyhow, whoever it was, THANK YOU! This is our second week, and it's made life so much simpler (and cheaper!)

TheMadHouse · 04/03/2008 16:02

I am taking five minutes to regain my composure, as DS1 has been a nightmare again.

We have been to time out (his room) 5 times and I have taken 3 of his fav DVD's off him. Throwing stuff, hitting and slammed the door on my fingures.

Anyway Fly wise dinner is in the slow cook
Hotspots done
Mission done

Dh is late in due to a late meeting at work, so I am doing bathtime and bedtime on my own

Welcome Sparkly I have two under three (well DS1 is 3 in two weeks and DS2 is 20 monnths old), so I understand where you are coming from. Fly is a godsend, as are my Fly buddies

BiancaCastafiore · 04/03/2008 16:50

Not stopping to read the thread properly, sorry!

Just wanted to take the opportunity to feel smug as I've done everything (plus extras) from my list (a rarity these days)

~put a couple of loads of washing on done
~hoover downstairs done
~dust throughout downstairs done
~s&s cloakroom done
~s&s kitchen done
~clear away some kids toys which have spread through every room done
~maybe the mission/time in the garden done porch
~tidied kids rooms done
~put away clean laundry done
~pick up clothes from bedroom floor done
~handwashing done

house looks good.

I'm hoping to feel up to tackling my worst area(s) tomorrow - spare room, or a cupboard or two. And then list some bits on freecycle.

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 04/03/2008 17:05

Done
Emptied, loaded and put on dishwasher
Put on washing

To Do
Sweep kitchen floor done
Tidy lounge, especially coffee table done
Have breakfast missed it
Take meds done
Clean a bathroom not done
Check what the mission is and do it not done

Extra

Put rice pudding on in slow cooker done

SparklyPrincess · 04/03/2008 17:07

Aww, thanks for all the welcomes .

Finally got going today - kitchen has at last been sorted. Although I don't think my sink will ever be shiny - it's one of those plasticky ones and I don't think there's any shine hiding in the depths! Still, the surfaces are clear and clean so I'm happy.

Have attacked my downstairs hot-spots as per instructions. They weren't actually all that bad so all clear now.

It's quite a nice feeling getting the little jobs done, isn't it? I think it's the 'finished today's homework' feeling!

Of course, the kids are currently chucking food on the dining room floor at the moment ... grrr ... I know she's only 11 months but I've just swept it ... again!!

Grouchyoscar · 04/03/2008 18:04

Evening ALL FLYfriends and hello to Sparkly

Warm womby snuggly 'I'll like this for 9 months' vibes to the amazingly wonderful EHM You are a lovely lady and I wish you everything you wish yourself

A busy kind of day today I did my Morning Routines, did parent child activity at school and then...(I'll say this quickly so no one panics etc)...I WENT TO IKEA...(There, I said it, not too bad. Thing is I went with DH who was awful 'Nowt here' 'it's awful' @Who'd buy that?' etc etc and kept making me put things back as I was paying but got over £50 of nothing in the end (nah, a shelving unit for Ed's Pixar Cars die casts)

Home, tidy round, collect Ed, Make his tea, do some reading, let him play Lego Star Wars, do most of my bedtime routine and come here.

DH starts his new freelance job on Monday (phew, I can have my money back) and I'm visiting a new childminder tomorrow.

More warm womby thoughts for you EHM

Bewilderbeast · 04/03/2008 20:56

I do similar to FGS with babywipes. I use one to cleanse my face, because they're cheaper than those cosmetic face wipes and I'm allergic to lots of soapy type things, then I clean the sink with it after and if there's still some life in it the toilet gets done too.

babyjjbaby · 04/03/2008 21:01

can u flush babywipes just that i do but not sure if u r supposed to

Bewilderbeast · 04/03/2008 21:07

you aren't supposed to as they don't biodegrade, I chuck mine in the bathroom bin although I have been know to flush them once or twice. I think the Kandoo wipes that FGS uses do biodegrade so they would be suitable for flushing

babyjjbaby · 04/03/2008 21:40

thanks i better stop flushing them then it has been making me think for a couple of weeks

EHM · 05/03/2008 06:41
