DontDreamItBeIt · 04/03/2008 11:54

Hi EHM- I really think anyone who reacted to all those hormones and all that stress without crying at the drop of a hat would be a total loon. I can't imagine how hard it must be to wai the nex two weeks. I'm feeling anxious just reading about it

I'm going to try and do todays mission (first time in months) now. Yesterdays was easy as my front door is new

TheMadHouse · 04/03/2008 11:59

Hello

EHM we'll all be waiting with you Rest up and look after yourself and the frosties

I've been out at work for half the morning and then at a friends for coffee - very civilised now I have no children with me in the day to drag along

Home now though and the house is a tip so I need to get my act together. Don't need to collect dd till 4 and ds till 6 so have an extra hour today.

Need to~
~put a couple of loads of washing on
~hoover downstairs
~dust throughout downstairs
~s&s cloakroom
~s&s kitchen
~clear away some kids toys which have spread through every room
~maybe the mission/time in the garden

scattyspice · 04/03/2008 12:28

Good Luck EHM.

We have the builders in so good excuse to neglect the house (Living room to be re plasterd, K and B floors coming up etc).

Managed to load the washer and ss the bathroom before leaving this am.

I have a question: when you SS the bathroom in the morning, do you use bathroom cleaner, bleach etc or just wip round with a wet cloth? I keep getting side tracked and end up actually cleaning the bathroom (instead of getting the kids dressed etc).

Need to iron this eve as have no work trousers.

FunkyGoldStar · 04/03/2008 12:32

scatty - I use a kandoo wipe to clean the sink THEN loo and then flush it away.

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 04/03/2008 12:35

I have been out all morning so I had better get on!!

Ludaloo · 04/03/2008 12:39

Hello...what a long thread already!

EHM I'm so glad that everything went well this morning and big {{HUGS}}. I think you are doing brilliantly, and a little weepyness is more than to be expected! xxxx

I have spent the whole morning preparing pot after pot of vegetables for the Cawl tomorrow.
The village pub is actually cooking the Cawl, but she didn't have time to do all the masses of veg, so a handful of mums did it this morning.
If I have to peel one more potato...or carrot...I think I will go mad!
I now have a long list of things I need to do before tomorrow! Buy 2 bunches of daffodils, make Welsh Cakes, find a cruet set (I am presuming that is salt and pepper?) dig out tea towels, trays, vases, ladels, serving bowl, raffle prize... list is endless!
We are setting up first thing tomorrow morning, all ready for the evening.
Its a lot of work for the parents, but it does generally raise a lot of money for the Nursery.

Anyway...back to the housework, and Gardening Club this afternoon, so I had better get a shuffle on

babyjjbaby · 04/03/2008 12:39

Minkus · 04/03/2008 12:55

EHM you are really obviously much loved here, good luck and I look forward to getting to know you over the coming months! (yes I WILL still be trying hard to do housework )

8 Couple of hotspots esp in hallway- part done couple of heavy bags that need to go into garage (MIL's old curtains to be used as dust sheets) but as pg don't want to lift them myself, will ask FIL if he'd mind doing that

10 Weed big plant pots either side of front door
11 Make lunch for FIL and I- done

So not much left to do, just going to heat soup through for no. 11 (sarnies made already) and then a little nap for me as I'm shattered!

damewashalot · 04/03/2008 12:57

Help!!!! Done nothing, ds3 is 2 today and we have been playing, did pop for a few bits from shop earlier and to book holiday swimming lessons but other than that not a lot, inlaws coming for tea, house not recovered from weekend need lunch still don't know where to start.

Not read a thing btw so sorry if missed something important

sagacious · 04/03/2008 13:39

luda cruet is salt and pepper (unless i've got it wrong all these years too!)

My done list

Cleaned mirrors/hall window/tv screen
Cleaned downstairs loo
Cleaned en suite loo
Made beds
d/w on

TheMadHouse · 04/03/2008 13:42

Happy Birthday *dames" little one.

damewashalot · 04/03/2008 14:01

Thanks for calm instructions and birthday wishes

Thought was doing fine untill mil just foned to say going to be early so now have 30mins to rush around like a mad thing at least loo is ok thank goodness for flying

SparklyPrincess · 04/03/2008 14:17

Hiya, could I join in please? Very newbie flybaby!

Still struggling to find my missing motivation. Think I lost it about 20 years ago!

Have two dds under 3 so it feels like a never ending process just keeping them fed and clean never mind anything else!

Have knocked together a control journal. I like the idea of having a realistic rota so I don't feel like I've got to attack everything at once. Saying that, haven't got very far today, kitchen was ok, but lunch has hit it! Have at least sorted out the dining room since lunch which stops the crawling one going round picking up bits (which is a bit cheeky as she didn't eat most of her food!)

SP xx

damewashalot · 04/03/2008 14:19

Pausing to breathe

Kitchen not bad, living room only got new toys on the floor, need to carry clean washing up stairs to put on my bed and forget to put away I know I'm not the only one that does that

Anything else obvious I've missed?

Flying must be making a difference as a month ago it would not have been this easy to make things better enough to tell, IYSWIM

Hope all are having a good day.

sushistar · 04/03/2008 14:23

Dame, hope it's ok! And EHM, sit down and eat some biscuits. I think frosties like biscuits .

Had fun at baby group, have eaten lunch, now just going to have a cuppa then i'll get on!

Hello Sparkly

Welcome to the lovely Fly thread. I've only been a regular for about a fortnight but already an a total convert and these lovely ladies help to keep me motivated. I'm still on babysteps (although haven't been doing it very religiously so can't remember which day I'm on) so just doing some basics to stay on top of stuff. And amazingly my house looks much better and my DH has even learned where the washing basket is!
