Just wanted to get a rough idea, we seem to be spending a huge amount and I've just spent an hour working out our basic grocery costs without treats and it seems way over the top. I do have 2 children in nappies (1 special needs) and a husband who works from home so extra coffee milk etc...I can only put it down to the rising costs of food!.. baked beans anyone?

Muffin! £200!!!!!!!

Where do you shop?

MuffinMclay · 14/03/2008 20:54

Waitrose.

Somehow spent £110 today, and only bought food for 2 days. I did buy 2 pricey bottles of wine, new heads for electric toothbrushes, and socks, but can't quite account for the remainder.

That does look cheap for all that food. I don't reckon I could do that list in Tesco's. We don't have a Morrisons where I live.

I do agree with you regarding the chicken too. However, as well as not having a Morrisons we also do not have a local butcher and Tesco FR chicken is massively expensive I find.
