Morning

Don't have to go anywhere today, so I will be doing some more of my spring cleaning list.

Kids just having brekkie, then will be back after the school run.

PuppyDogTails · 27/02/2008 08:33

Morning gang.

First day at my new job this morning - they're letting me start gently, a few hours in the office today then working from home for a while. Due to start properly after Easter. Still a bit daunting though, all change, end of mat leave and new job. My mum is at least coming to mind DS, which does of course mean that I need to run around and straighten a few hotspots.

Did you all feel the earthquake? It woke me up, my first thought was 'what's DP up to now?'

TrinityRhino · 27/02/2008 09:13

we talked for hours, I have had no sleep but we are going to try and get the cleaner, waiting on her phonecall this morning

The earthquake freaked me out!!!

I feel like shit and I'm just trying to get some breakfast then I will start my list
Thanks for your continued support, you are all wonderful

BiancaCastafiore · 27/02/2008 09:13

MOrning

Trinity hope you're OK this morning. Did you get the chance to discuss things further with dh?
FGS lol at the wrong day! Hope your day goes well x
Luda you're so good doing your spring clean
PDT Have a good day at work Didn't feel the earthquake here (Cotswolds)
Tort sorry you were feeling last night. I wish I lived closer and could come and tackle a room or two with you. Try not to stress about it x MSN won't let me sign in since something went wrong with the laptop on Monday but I'll try again later

It's my day to help at school today so I'll be heading off there soon. Need to get a load of washing on first and clear the breakfast table.
Back later x

Hello everyone off work today feeling low and weary and sick. Tried to explain to eldest and asked her to walk to school but in the end took her in my PJs more to her embarrassment than mine!

Have done some washing up and put on a load of washing but now am off back to bed to sleep!

TheMadHouse · 27/02/2008 09:21

Morning all

Trinity Listen to FGS she is very wise indeed

Tort Go back to the babysteps - it is all about routine - if you are struggling in the morning then you need to redefine your night routine. Although I cant talk I forgot to wash DS1's trunks for swimming - so they are now in the machine

Waves to everyone else

Well Morning routine is done

Saug casarole in on

Trinity I have only really just caught up with the threads, and read your thread about the cleaner.

You sound completely exhausted with the whole thing
DH's don't really seem to get it do they!
I am glad he has agreed to getting one. I hope it helps.
I used to find the actual clutter was a pain.
When I first gave up work, and had only one baby...that was tiring enough and I just couldn't get to grips with the house at all...led to arguements all the flaming time! DH would come home from work and shout at me for the huge piles of crap, all the washing, blah blah....he would ask me what on earth I had been doing all day!
It isn't easy...really it isn't, so don't feel bad for not being good at housework, like I keep trying to tell all these anti fly people, it doesn't come easily to everyone!

I think for me, the fact we moved house helped, as I de-cluttered drastically.
De-cluttering really is the key (we can't clean clutter as everyone always says!)

Hopefully you can find a cleaner who might help you to do this first.

Good luck...chin up, and I hope you get some rest too xx

intravenouscoffee · 27/02/2008 09:30

Morning all. Paying for monday night's good sleep by having very little last night. Dog escaped from the garden at 10pm while DH was on a late shift and I was home alone with DD so couldn't go out to look for him. Good friend eventually found him at 11.30 looking extememly ill - we think he just every peice of take away food he found on the high street. So.... he spent an hour being sick in the garden (delighful) and then just as we'd got into bed the house started shaking and DD started screaming. So it's all been fun with us!!
Trinity Really glad you and DH have worked it out. I'm sure when he sees what a difference it makes to you he'll be happy to budget for a cleaner for a while till you're feeling better
PDT HAve a good day
Luda Still in awe at your spring clean
Glitter - hope you feel better soon
FGS THanks for starting thread. I don't know which day it is either, keep thinking it's thursday...
Bianca Good morning, hope you're having a good day and bridge is okay
Off to get DD dressed and then out to Tesco! Catch you all later

DontDreamItBeIt · 27/02/2008 09:31

Hello everyone

I have been quite motivated again this morning. Got more done so far than I'd do in the whole a.m. normally!

Washing done, pegged out and another in
Dishwasher unloaded and reloaded
DS DH cat and I fed
DS and I washed and dressed
Dining room tidied (FIL coming round to fit new mantlepiece in there) but still need to move table/chairs

Am signed off work at the mo because of hyperemesis (am 21wks pg ) but need to go in to drop some bits and pieces off. Really don't want to as it'll just mean questions questions and although they are all well meaning I could do without it to be honest. Just want to come home and sleep!

sagacious · 27/02/2008 09:36

Morning all trinity hope you're ok (saw you're other thread good on you for putting you're foot down)
glitter hope you're asleep

fgs I put the bins out yesterday (took them back in again this morning when I realised it wasn't Thursday

Out with a friend this afternoon (both our dd's go to the same nursery so we've got a couple of hours coffee and chat and shopping time before we pick them up (bliss) so want to get the house sorted before I leave.. better get off MN then

Have a good day all (and special hugs to ehm)

Glad it isnt just me who doesnt know what day of the week it is

Trinity Glad you are getting a cleaner. It will help a lot. But, it's important we try and get you into some kind of routine because that will help more, I promise.

For anyone missing a morning routine, here is mine :

  1. Make bed
  2. Swish & Swipe en suite bathroom
  3. Put a wash load in
  4. Empty dishwasher
  5. Feed cat & fish
  6. Check calendar
  7. Take a vitamin.
  8. Clear away breakfast things
  9. Think about what you want for dinner - take out meat if necessary.
10. 2 minute hotspot 11. 5 minute room rescue

I've done everything except the bathroom and 5 minute hotspot so I'll go and do those in a bit.
