Small bedroom solutions - looking for a really tiny bedside table?

Trying to set up a tiny bedroom. I need a v narrow bedside table or shelf on legs - I only have 10-12cm width to play with. This is going to be used as a divider between two beds, and also needs to be movable, so unfortunately wall mounted shelves or headboards with storage aren't suitable. Any suggestions? I previously used some very shallow, open backed CD/DVD shelves turned sideways, which gave a bedside table/set of shelves/bed divider where you could place a lamp, tissues and glass of water. But I don't have them any more, and now I can't find anything on Google (table, shelf on legs, console table, plant stand, CD shelves, anything!) less than 15cm width/depth.

Not the prettiest but might do the job Ronlap 4 Tier Storage Trolley On Wheels, Narrow Kitchen Storage Unit with Handle Hook Lock Wheels, Slim Storage Trolley for Kitchen Bathroom Laundry Room, White https://amzn.eu/d/d4DzBh2

Try asking an Etsy spice rack maker to do something custom to exactly the correct height width and depth. Good luck.

Ikea Lack bench might fit?

This sort of thing? Lots on Etsy.

We have a similar setup and have a small wooden stool as a bedside table. Bed reading lamps are clip on ones from Ikea clipped onto the windowsill so not taking up real estate on the stool.

Nowhere near - it's 26cm! OP needs something half that width - I think you'll really struggle without getting something custom made tbh.

Thanks. The Yamazaki ones would be perfect if they were taller. Some of the Etsy suggestions definitely look promising.

You can get small shelves that clip on to the side of the bed. They didn't fit all beds but if they are suitable they work brilliantly. They have enough room for a book, a cup and phone etc but don't use any floor space.
I have a bamboo one from Amazon

I use a small adjustable height table from Aldi- but you can get them on Amazon for about £15. Useful if trying to work/ear in bed. Small enough to use as a bedside table and moveable. Occasionally it just slides over the bed out of the way Eg when cleaning!

@ostentatiousocelot my mum bought bathroom storage for her spare room - something like this www.argos.co.uk/product/4038126

Was the perfect height and width as she was really limited on space

I got this one from Morrisons

Surely that’s lots bigger than 10-12 centimetres.

Timeforthenextholiday · 19/07/2023 18:28

They had a smaller one in the same design.

A plant stand could work, they have lots of tiny ones in IKEA in a range of colours for about £7 If I remember correctly.
