Just been quoted £20 for non-agency cleaner in the Home Counties.

Is that about right these days?

It includes a bit of petrol expenses as I've asked if she can come to our new house about 9 miles from our current place.

£22, SW, i provide products and hoover. She travels far as we're rural. About 8 hours/week. She does everything including dishes, laundry, tidying etc

It's good to see she's valuing her labour and skills. She's providing all products, paying for fuel., factoring in holiday & sick pay & pension. And you say she's good.... Could have a slow Joe who flaps a cloth around for an hour...

It's not about comparing 'hourly rate in your area'. It's what they need to charge to run a business and stay successfully self-employed.

I've just been quoted £17.50 an hour and £20 an hour. Cheaper one independent with two staff. More expensive was small biz with staff of 20. Im in the greater Leeds/Bradford area.
