Thanks ruby this is our 6th attempt still very nervous its been so long since our last go. How very exciting for your friend, is this her first baby?

BiancaCastafiore · 29/01/2008 18:40

Evening

Kids are in the bath, Dh has just got home so I've disappeared for a few minutes peace before bedtime starts.
Dd has now had her pencil case nicked(personalised with her name on, no-one else in school with same or similar name) she got it for Christmas along with all her pencils (also personalised) I know it's just a pencil case but it's her special one and she's really upset The teacher had everyone emptying out their drawers etc in the hope of it turning up, but no luck. It's just one thing after another atm. Does anyone know where I can order more pencils with names on?

Tort sorry you're in a snappy mood, that's not like you...
TMH fingers crossed for your results x x
EHM fingers crossed for IVF [excited][nervous]

tortoise · 29/01/2008 18:49

Aww poor DD Bianca
I think DD1 was just winding me up. Am ok now. I do get snappy if i am tired! I am really bad at going to bed early but TBH if i do go early i can't sleep.
Personalised crayons here and here

Janni · 29/01/2008 19:04

Have been a bit stressed out with kids, trying to have a few minutes peace while they FINALLY get on with their homewok and let DD go to sleep!

EHM - keeping everything crossed for you
RR - I'd be well impressed if 14 year old boys could talk convincingly about the housework
TMH - glad the CBT is helping. I'm curious because in a former life I was a mental health nurse and did some CBT training. I did use the principles on myself sometimes, but I've forgotten it now. Should get my books out again!
Bianca - hope your evening is nicer than your day.

Still need to: get schoolbags ready, mend coat, sort kitchen, hang one more load of laundry, tidy living room.
I'm hosting a meeting there tomorrow. They probably won't want to sit in Dora the Explorer's tent

Have a nice evening all.

Janni it has really helped me - apparently I am an ideal student, but it does help that I was and am desperate to get better. I did not want the boys growing up with a depressive mum, so with CBT it gives me tools for life really. I was very lucky as I was pregnant (suffered a subsequent m/c) the jumpped me to the top of the NHS list (9 month waiting list here atm for CBT).

I have a great team looking after me

Hello all

I have been too busy CLEANING to post on MN, both today and yesterday Despite my thumb being encased in various dressings with a surgical glove on top (it's not a good look ladies), I have begun spring cleaning my sitting room. And I didn't even know it was this week's room. So far I have

Cleaned the blind (worst job in the whole world, ever)
Cleaned the window
Taken all the books out of the bookcase and dusted them and it
Cleared out the cupboard
Polished the picture glass
Polished the fireplace and cleaned the grate super specially
Vacuumed very thoroughly

Still to do
Launder the loose covers
Shampoo the carpet
Clean the doors and skirting boards

Phew! Am feeling very pleased with myself.

Don't have time or thumb strength to type more, will post tomorrow (but not until late - I have a MNetter visiting me tomorrow) Sleep well

tortoise · 29/01/2008 19:29

Well done NUT.

TheMadHouse · 29/01/2008 20:09

Well done 9NUT you have been busy - how is the finger?

gibberish · 29/01/2008 20:19

Evening all!

bianca big hug to you. Please don't feel any of this is your fault. I really feel for you both... awful when situations like that happen. Hoping it blows over really soon.

luda That's brilliant - really glad you joined Post a message on the 'say hello' forum and I'll find you and add you. What name are you using? You can mail it to me if you want.

Enchanted was very good. The girls enjoyed it enormously! Wasn't dh's cup of tea but would have been a bit worried if it had been I suppose lol. Would def recommend it - not the best film I've seen, but far from the worst. Great entertainment!

Not read the rest of the thread so will do so before I go to bed. Still full of the cold atm.

Night ladies. Will catch up with you tomorrow x

EHM · 29/01/2008 20:32

1st injection done, feel very strange all kinds of emotions going on now.Ellie went down without any fuss(fingers crossed) & is presently snoring like an old man

TMH sounds like you are getting lots of encouraging support, which is fantastic.
bianca poor wee soul.truely hope things improve soon for you both.give dd a big hug from ellie.x.x.(and me of course)
9Nut good for you, although sounds you really have had a nasty injury.
ruby fantastic.I hope your friend loves the baby shower, what a lovely friend you are.

Nutsaboutchocolate · 29/01/2008 21:22

Hello Everyone

I read the threads in the early hrs this morning but I can not remember much
I remember seeing that Tort is getting a dog though I would love to have a dog but it would be a waste of time as I would not be able to take it out for walks or play in the garden.

Bianca Dont to too hard on yourself. This time of year a lot of people suffer from SAD (not enough sun/daylight hours) and feel as you do. Everything seems to be going wrong. I feel down a lot in the winter and things soon get me down. I hope thing get better soon. {{{{big hugs}}}}

DD is getting better today but DS2 started being sick tonight.

DS1 has been a pain in school. He keeps walking out of class and shouting at the teacher.

Off to bed now to try and get some sleep. I`m feeling a lot more achy and joins hurt more tonight. My body knows its going to be a wet day tomorrow

Night all

HN xx

Janni · 29/01/2008 21:43

Great work NUT !

TheMadHouse · 29/01/2008 23:57

Well DS1 is not well, up coughing and weezing. I ahve given him his inhauler and also some Calop cold in the hope it dries up his nose a bit.

If his chest is no better in the morning then on to the pred (steriods) it will be.

Typical - Mum is looking after the boys whilst we are at the Funeral. I hate leaving them, both at the best of times, let alone when one is ill. I will leave early if needs be and DH can catch a lift home.

Anyhow - off to bed and see if any sleep is forthcoming
