EHM Let me know next time you are visiting - I am extreamly close by

ludaloo · 29/01/2008 12:37

lol bianca....hmmm you are quite lucky to not have to deal with potty training!

Both DD1 and DS were pretty much dry all day at this age! DD1 was completely out of knickers by the time she started nursery, and DS had about a week of wearing pull ups before he was completely dry at nursery. DD2 is just an entirely different kettle of fish. She WILL NOT do anything she doesn't want to. I am not so sure she can actually recognise that she "needs" to go, before she actually does go either (IYSWIM). She kind of holds herself, and then by the time I have got the potty near her, she's done it.
Just a mare!!!!!!

Afternoon Everyone

I've been out doing stuff for Ed and community work all morning. Just had time to catch up on the thread, in patches but I will explain later

EHM You are a truly lovely person, you know that don't you?

TMH I think every mum has done that, I was determined Never to smack Ed, but there are times when despite what you know deep down, it happens. It doesn't make you a bad mum. You've told us for a start. I second everything you've said about the FLY thread and yes, everyone does feel like a friend.

Bianca I know how you feel I really do. DH treats me like the woman that does. So long as everything is how he likes it to be etc etc, I may as well not be here. I think it's how blokes get in a long term relationship TBH, you do become an extension of the house/your MIL. Keep your chin up, we need you here.

Well I've had an odd day.

Done

Woken by Ed (sweetheart )
Up washed
Help him make breakfast
Tidy up
Dress him
Hang wet washing to dry
Bring dampish washing down
Load TD and run
Gather bags together
Take him to school
Do Rhyme Time session at school (that was fun)
Go to Culture Share meeting on behalf of the group to plan events.

and this is where the day gets strange. The Head asked me if I would do some temporary work for them! {shock] I was shaking. It's the school I had the interview at the other week but I didn't get the post. Blinking flip, I didn't expect that at all. I'm really chuffed to buttons. I have to pop up and see the SENCO tomorrow morning and I start Monday. I only went up to represent the group.

Yippee skippy, my hard work has been worth it

Yaddayah · 29/01/2008 14:28

Yay grouchy Thats excellent !

I've GOT to get on, i'm just mooching and eating crap. have 20 mins before I pick dc's up and I'm arghgghhhh

ludaloo · 29/01/2008 14:31

I just got completely sidetracked by the shoe basket! Cleaned the GP's out, then moved the basket they are sat on (in spare room) and decided to sort the shoes out that were in it.
One carrier bag full of shoes for my friend's DD2 and possibly her neice (she has a baby neice, and some of the shoes were DD2's ickle lickle ones!), one carrier bag full for the bin, and the rest in the downstairs basket in the cupboard, to be worn
We seem to have shoes/slippers/wellies everywhere!

GO I absolutely love all your little phrases! I'm "chuffed to buttons" for you, and your new temporary work at the school. You must have made an impression in your interview
You always work hard!!! It is definately worth it

*GroucyP Well done on the temp job. Its great to be in demand. I am amazed at how much you get done you are an inspiration

Luda I really need to get sidetracked by shoes. I can not bear to part with them and har far too many and some no longer fit, as my feet grew whilst pregnant [strange]

CBT finnished and DS1 picked up, although he is really not himself. He has had two bouts of diareoa whilst there and hasnt eaten anything.

I have to ring the mental health team on Monday after my blood results (12 noon) as I think they are concerned that I will do something silly. Also I am not sleeping well due to the worry and if it is not good news they will up my tablets to aid my sleep.

I think that is also why I am a bit urgggggggg with the children this week - just worried of the result.

Janni · 29/01/2008 16:00

FGS - my eyes were really sore last week and I found that bathing them in cooled, boiled water with salt added helped a lot.
TMH - did the CBT session help? Sorry to hear your DS1 is poorly. Is he drinking water?
Luda - GOOD LUCK with potty training. DD did it a couple of months ago, but she still leaves going to the loo till the last minute and makes a big drama of it!!
Bianca - sorry your DD is having a hard time. Please don't blame yourself - there are so many things that are out of our control.
Yaddah - my DD is a bit Wiggles fan, I think the yellow one has weird long arms and the purple one seems very odd to me. I do like the blue one though - he looks like my DH!!
GO - CONGRATULATIONS. Go girl!

Hello everyone else

Need to: polish our shoes, do ironing, do mission (forgot it earlier), sew button on coat.

Afternoon all

I'm not FLYing properly at all and really am missing being here to chat with everyone.

lmccream FY has meant that even now with major work happening, I am on top of the laundry, I know what is for tea, and the basic stuff is done
Nothing beyond the basics is happening. I am still cleaning up after dp, or painting in my "spare" time.

I'm going to wait to potty train ds until he is actually asking to do it The dds were a nightmare, and it took forever. Not something I am ready to go through again yet.

I need to clean the fish tank . I'm hoping that telling you lot will shame me into doing it

Thanks Ruby.
That was just what I needed.
I've done an emergency glass cleanng and filter change. Water change will have to wait til tomorrow now, as it is too dark and the light in the tank doesn't work.

tortoise · 29/01/2008 17:41

Hi all.
Haven't caught up with the tread yet. Am feeling tired and snappy! DD1 keeps saying'But Mummy' everytime i say something she doesn't agree with (oh everything then!!) she is really testing my patience!

Finally managed to get back out and jogging today.

Had a visit from SW yesterday. she phoned at 2pm to see if i had remembered she was coming. i hadn't! BUT the house was tidy and all i needed to do was take some washing up stairs. Normally it's a mad rush to tidy so i was feeling very pleased.

Hope everyone has had a good day. Will try and catch up on thread now.

tortoise · 29/01/2008 17:56

Bianca Sorry DD is still not getting on at school. You mustn't blame yourself. Sorry things still not great with DH.

Luda Good luck with potty training. DD1 and DD2 were dry at 2. They took me by surprise. DS's weren't so easy! Would she sit on the toilet with a little seat instead of the potty?

GO well done on the job offer.

TMH Not surpising you are feeling a but uurrggg this week. Must be very stressful waiting for the results.

TheMadHouse · 29/01/2008 18:00

Evening all

Feeding at the Mad Zoo is finnished and DH has walked in so I am making a cuppa adn then going to sort out baths and the clothes for the mini's for tomorrow.

Janni CBT really does help, I have 4 sessions left and then I think that I will just being seeing someone monthly to check that things are all OK. I have to see my consultant at the end of February to discuss ongoing management. They also want me to remain on the AD's for about 2 years before I am weaned off them, which will be June 2009. My issue is that I suffered with depression after my dad died and this time although I knew I was suffering I was topo proud to get any help and it spiralled out of control and I was lucky to avoid being sectioned - I am a care in the communiy case as me and DH laugh about. No one else knows this apart from 2 RL friends and my mum a little bit.

Dream I am glad the fishes have not appointed a chairfish of the escape comittee yet.

Tort Why are they so difficult some times - nevermind only 2 days to Micky

Bianca hoe arfe you feeling this evening

Ruby Oh pert and smaller boobs the only positive and a whole new wardrobe.

EHM · 29/01/2008 18:01
