Hi all.
Been a good day here today. Lovely and sunny all day.
I went and bought a roll of wire fencing plus staple thingies! And put up the fence by my self. [proud emoticon] Not a bad job even if i do say so myself! lol!

Arrrgggh! Just spilt a whole glass of juice on myself! It was very cold as freshly made! What a shock to the system that was. Luckily missed the keyboard.

EHM · 26/01/2008 22:39

Morning All

I have been up since 5.45 with DS1, other two men are still in bed.

I have done morning routines and think I am going to get DS2 up soon adn sort out breakfast prior to going swimming.

I am shattered as DH tossed and turned all night he has a sore back and neck. He has had a lot of headaches over the last three weeks and I am concerned, although he states that it is just as he is swampped at work.

To Do

Change DS1's bed
Washing after Swimming
Ironing
Roast Chicken
Cook Chilli
Bath

I also have to pick a book for my book circle thing.

Catch you all later and Tort Well done on the fence

Janni · 27/01/2008 08:01

Hello TMH. I've been up since 6 with DD Sorry to hear about your DH - hope he's OK and that you maybe manage to have a nap later??

Today I'm trying to do a proper clean of the kitchen, catch up with paperwork and make spag bol for lunch. Should probably get dressed first though!

Why does Flylady go on about 'lace-up shoes' and does it make a difference? My leopard-skin mule slippers from M&S are due a replacement. They aint looking very sexy any more!!

EHM · 27/01/2008 08:06

Morning All

bianca hope all is well with dd.
tortyour profile pics of dc's are great. Are they more recent ones?
Lmccrean hope work goes quickly for you today.
TMH I too have been awake very early(520) with Ellie. Not sure if this helps but I've suffered & not always in silence with my back for a long time now. Went to osteopath last week & the results are unbelievable!

Meeting friends for lunch at 1230 today. Really looking forward to it not since them for about 6 months. Need to sort clothes washed yesterday & do a spot of ironing.
Off to finish my morning routines. Have a great day all.x.x

EHM · 27/01/2008 08:07

janni x posts morning

TheMadHouse · 27/01/2008 08:42

I am going to let him finish this month off at work and then insist on him visiting the doctors.

DS2 up and dressed and DS1's bed stripped
Breakfast cooling - porridge

Anyone have an easy recepie for scotch pancakes?

DontDreamItBeIt · 27/01/2008 08:47

Morning

I didn't get up with ds until 8

Well done on the fence putting up tortoise
lol@ no using the pansEHM Janni - I have the same problem with dp, but he also "tidiesup"" (It involves putting all clutter in the washing baske and hididng it) which makes me really angry.
Lace up shoes are supposed to make you feel dressed and ready for anythngso o excuse for not putting bins out/hanging up washing etc.

I don't wear them Nor do lots of the others.

DontDreamItBeIt · 27/01/2008 08:49

I've ever made scothch pancakes...would a thicker than normal regular batter work?

I'm going to mix coloured paint for the walls and paint more today, with a supermarket shop and more tidying thrown in I think.

ludaloo · 27/01/2008 09:00

Morning Ladies

Up bright and early here too. Have already:

~Unloaded and reloaded D/W
~Put a load of washing in W/M
~Folded a load from T/D
~Picked up clothes from pretty much every room in the house!
~Sorted the fire out
~Made brekkie
~Got dressed, and kids dressed (although DD1 had a sleep over with our neighbour, so she isn't around just yet)
~Fed cat, guinea pigs and fish

I am contemplating doing my food shop today instead of tomorrow, as Monday's are full as it is. I'd also like to get some new small dishes, to make individual lasagnas/cottage pies etc. Also want another pair of jogging bottoms (the one's I bought in the sale are still a bit too tight for my liking!
So into town today I think!

Our internet connection is playing up too....couldn't dial up for most of yesterday. DH rang Orange, and they said they would have to do a line check...I'm guessing they have done it, as it dialled up ok this morning.

Anyway, better get on

See you all later

I LOST 5 LBS

Sorry for that self indulgent roar... but am so pleased

Hope everyone is ok! I'm full of the cold but don't care!

Got loads of housework to do today and need to fit in doing an exercise tape and do some more work on the painting.

Will drop in later.

BiancaCastafiore · 27/01/2008 09:52

TMH I make scotch pancakes quite often as a Sunday breakfast -
100g SR flour
2 tbsp caster suger
1 beaten egg
1/4 pint of milk

mix flour and sugar, make a well and mix in egg and enough milk to make a batter the consistency of thick cream.
cook in batches, drop spoonfuls onto a greased griddle or heavy-based frying pan.
Keep heat steady and when bubbles rise to the surface of the scone turn over and cook for another 2-3 mins on the other side.

My house is pretty tidy after my massive clean on Friday so I may tackle a few hotspots today.
Dh and dd are going swimming, ds and I are staying at home (he has a streaming cold and I have AF from hell)
Hope to get a walk in later.

BiancaCastafiore · 27/01/2008 09:56

Congrats Gibb I am exactly the same weight today as I was last week!
EHM lol at you and your new pans - I'm just the same
Tort I had a good day yest, work then an afternoon with the PIL. Still v tired though, am sleeping for hours!
Simply nice to see you here yesterday
Can't remmeber what else and ds is nagging me to let him play Lego Star Wars [groan]

gibberish · 27/01/2008 10:01

aw bianca Were you expecting to lose?

BiancaCastafiore · 27/01/2008 10:11

I weighed myself mid-week and had lost a couple of lbs...I blame AF, I've been snacking all week! Not too worried, at least I haven't gained

Ds and I are off to do a supermarket shop - he's NOT impressed!

gibberish · 27/01/2008 10:13

lol Neither would I be this early on a Sunday morning! See you later

DontDreamItBeIt · 27/01/2008 10:58

Dp and dd1 have gone out to buy me more paint, and are gettig stuff for tonights roast. I'll have to do the weekly shop tomorrow, I guess.

Janni · 27/01/2008 12:38

Hello again ALL> Tort (if you're around) - WELL DONE for the fence. That's the sort of thing I would never get round to!

Dream - your DHs tidying sounds at about the same level as my DS (aged 7), which is a bit depressing, because I was hoping I could eventually train him. His future DP is going to think I really spoiled him!

Gibberish - congratulations!

Well, I seem to have been very busy dealing with family life, but not got much done apart from the spag bol.

After lunch need to: have a tidy up, do post.
See you later.

tortoise · 27/01/2008 12:38

Hello.
Just back from ds2's footie training! Lovely sunny day again.
The lady from greyhound trust phoned me on my mob while we were out. She told me they have selected a suitable one for us. He is Micky (black and white) on the website. The one with docked tail.
here. No tail is good in some ways because they hurt when they get excited and wag like mad lol!

Anyway, she will be bringing him round this Thursday! How excited are we! lol!

tortoise · 27/01/2008 12:41

Aww thanks Janni . It was a job that had to be done and i prefer jobs like that than housework!

gibberish · 27/01/2008 13:18

Thanks janni

Trying to work up the courage (and enthusiasm) to go for a short jog. Haven't been since i damaged my hip, and don't want to overdo it (been using that excuse for TOO LONG). And dreading what I will look like in my trackies...
