What is your process for folding & putting away laundry

I don't have a utility room so have pretty limited space to do it.

At the minute I fold clothes and put them into one laundry basket, then take them straight upstairs to put them away.

I'm wondering if it would make more sense to have one small basket for each person and separate it by person downstairs before taking each one up. However it might increase trips up and down stairs so save no time at all!

Take clothes for one person off the line/airer and fold into a pile OR put straight on hangers for stuff that hangs. If it's on the airer inside I then put the pile on the stairs. if it's on the line I fold everything into the washing basket and then bring inside and put clothes in individual piles on the stairs.

I try to hang stuff so a single person's things are together to make this process even easier.

People take their own clothes upstairs and put away (or add to floordrobe in case of teens).

I like to make as little work for myself as possible :)

Then when we run out of clothes, put away about 10 loads at one time. 😀

Here it goes from dryer to the worktop in the utility (directly above the dryer). Then when we run out of clothes, this is where we look for them.

genuinely, I’m considering al the clothes storage just being in the utility. It never makes it to wardrobes/drawers.

No stairs but I bring in from the line although and chuck it all on my bed.

That way I have to fold it and put it away before I can go to bed so it never mounts up.
