I have loads to do today so am trying to get through my morning routine properly before heading out on the school run.

Back later with a (probably quite long) list

Morning Guys,

I havent been FLying for a bit as kids ill. starting work etc. BUT, I have noticed the house isnt actually that bad so perhaps we're at a good place where a quick 15 mins can really spruce it up

I need to hoover and dust the main bedroom as I did everywhere else on Friday before ILs came over. Not sure if DD2 will let me do it so I'm allowing myself until the end of the week.

morning and evening routines are done without fail though [smug]

ludaloo · 23/01/2008 08:32

Morning All

I am very happy today! I logged onto my boots plan thingy, and it says I have to weigh today....so I did...and I am now 10 stone 13! So I have lost 5lb!!!!

Crikey!

Anyway, I shall be doing happy house work today
I don't think I am going anywhere, although I would like to go into town for a little bit to find myself a dvd to follow at home.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 23/01/2008 08:48

How did you do that luda? I'm 10st 9lb. I'd like to lose 7lb and I'm not sure where to start. (although stopping chocolate might help)

Janni · 23/01/2008 09:03

Morning ALL Well done Luda! FGS - hope kids are better now and work is going well.

I feel really grumpy this morning. Haven't had enough sleep, my eyes are sore (think I need to get some Optrex), my DH is snowed under with work and I simply cannot face going to toddler group today - I feel really unsociable. DD is (happily) watching a Dora DVD while I fantasise about going back to bed!

To do: get dressed and have breakfast, laundry away, clear kitchen, do shopping list

TheMadHouse · 23/01/2008 09:09

Morning all

Well Done fgs Flying really works
Well done Luda* Still havnt plucked up the courage to weight myself
Janni Sore eyes are a nightmare
Bianca Pants about the sewing, but them you can sew - I am just pants fullstop

We are off swimming this morning. I always get so worked uo before it, but it is great and the mini mads love it.

I am hoping that they both have a sleep afterwards, as I really need to do the ironing and get a shopping list done.

They are currently drumming and playing keyboard - I am tuning out.

Mouring Routine and Mission done.

BiancaCastafiore · 23/01/2008 09:40

OK, I'm back

Luda wow - well done, I'm 11st12 (yippee! under 12st!!, first time since before I was preg with dd!) this morning so have lost a bit too (but I have done nothing re the Boots plan )
FGS hope you have a good day
Jannai we all have days like that, hope you pick up as the day goes on

Grouchyoscar · 23/01/2008 10:15

Morning you lot

Ed back to school today. He said he was 'still sick' but went and settled well.

DH off sick now, complaining of tummy trouble, so he's off sick today.

Done my morning routines and I'm just taking it steady as I'm working this afternoon. Only 2.5 hrs but hey, it will come in handy for family trips etc.

TMH Your DS1 sounds like Ed. He fits that description perfectly! A lady in the lift at Tesco last night said 'It's nice to meet a character, hard work but you wouldn't have him any other way would you?' as he bombed off to grab a trolley

Just heard the album by Editors - Have to say I wasn't impressed and I've put Interpol on loudly as they do what Editors are trying SO MUCH BETTER.

Anyway, I procrastinate. I have financial transactions to manage. See you later x

ludaloo · 23/01/2008 10:37

Hello, and thanks

Bianca well done you too!

FGS I have been going to keep fit for nearly 2 weeks and started a calorie counted diet a week ago.

Well I intend to give the house a good blast...and try to stay as active as possible today
I might stick some music on and boogie the housework away.

ludaloo · 23/01/2008 10:38

Oh...and mad you should go for it

gibberish · 23/01/2008 11:07

Well done bianca and luda!! Fantastic!

I weighed myself this morning and have lost 4lbs! Really pleased except because I got my start weight wrong on the boots site, it will only show as 1lb loss there.. Trust me. At least I'll know that I had a good weight loss . Real weigh in is on Saturday so will prob have lost some more by then.

fgs and tmh You must join us on the Boots site! We are about the same weight (I'm 10.11 atm)

grouchy glad Ed is feeling better now

Hope your day gets better janni

Busy day today - house to clean and tidy, though have most of it done. Work to do with girls and then horseriding and dancing lessons. Weekly shop to do... phew! But want it all done today so that I can start the paintings tomorrow. Paints arrived yesterday yay!

Missions all done due to decorating the bedroom at the weekend

NineUnlikelyTales · 23/01/2008 11:14

Morning everyone

Not much flying will be done here today as I have just cut the end of my thumb off I was trying to be organised by chopping the veg for tonight's dinner, but cut myself instead. Luckily we have medical students living next door so they kindly patched me up. Never mind, I'm going to see a friend now and she always has cake in so I'll be fine.

Must go, typing is not as easy as I thought it would be Have a good day.

ludaloo · 23/01/2008 11:40

9NUT Hope you are ok! Its lucky you have medical students next door.

Gibberish Yay! that's brilliant...well done! We are all doing really well aren't we You still have a couple of days to go too!

I am trying very hard to distract myself...as I'm hungry, but I have already had a snack this morning...and lunch is only half an hour a way, so I can wait. I have just been round my neighbours house to look at her new slow cooker. I have never really got the whole slow cooker thing TBH but I have heard loads of people rave about them. My neighbour is chuffed to bits!

I have tidied round, and will hoover after lunch. I had a good old bob to Mika! (have to be really careful though, as we are very overlooked and the two houses opposite can see right in the kitchen and the lounge...I must look like a complete loon bounding around the place!)

ludaloo · 23/01/2008 11:45

oh nooooooooo!

DD2 has just fed the fish her cheese and onion crisps!!!
She just handed me a wet empty packet and announced "fsh crips" ! Oh No...I've fished the crisps out but the water looks quite oily ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I only cleaned them out yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you think they will be ok? Hopefully the filter will clear the water?

Little Minx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Janni · 23/01/2008 12:03

Luda - what a treat for the fish! I'm sure they'll be OK. You'll laugh about it when she's older.

NUT - hope your finger's OK. Great excuse to get out of the housework etc!

Bianca - it's extraordinary how much there is to do in a household when you see it written down. I can't face long lists like that - makes me want to give up

I'm feeling a bit better. Bathed my eyes in cooled boiled water with salt added and it definitely helped. Also, a friend called and is popping round this afternoon, which will cheer me up.

What next?
1)deal with post 2)DD bath 3)sweep up

gibberish · 23/01/2008 12:28

I don't know which to laugh at more luda - you bopping around to Mika whilst the neighbours watch or the fish having a bag of crisps

nut oops about the finger. Sounds sore! D'you think it will reduce your time on mn??

janni enjoy this afternoon with your friend

Have practically finished downstairs and last load of washing is on. Just about to give the girls lunch then take dd2 to horseriding... then will tackle upstairs.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 23/01/2008 12:35

Link and explanation of Boots site thing please

Having hairdresser come over later to cut our hair so will feel good later I think

BiancaCastafiore · 23/01/2008 12:56

Boots site for you FGS You enter in your height and weight and it'll let you know your BMI and work out a personal plan to get you to the target weight for your size. I've cheated a little and changed my target to just 6lbs off as I really don't want to set myself up for a fall and anyway am feeling pretty contented with my size these days. a few more lbs would take my BMI from 26.5 to 224/25 wihich is what is deemed the prefect size for my height.

OP posts:
FunkyGlassSlipper · 23/01/2008 13:29

Hmmm. Have joined. It says with my height 5'2" I should be 8stone 8lb. If I lost 2 stone I would look like a wafer.

BiancaCastafiore · 23/01/2008 13:34

I'm similar FGS, I know that if I got down to my "perfect" weight of 10st something I'd look gaunt - I have been that weight (a long time ago!) and when I see pics of me then I look ill. Hence me entering in that I only want to loose a few lbs.

OP posts:
Totallytrue · 23/01/2008 13:58

Hi all
I need to lose a stone (ideally a stone and a half)

Well I have

Cleared kitchen
Tidied living room
Wiped down sofa's

House looking vaguely ok

Have been to hospital for ds's hearing test ... good news he's fine on 3 frequencies, failed on the lowest one, but dr said he had a mild infection and he thought that was why, so for the moment all is ok

Big sigh of relief and chocolate cake (ponders why I've put on a stone)

Need to hotspot main bedroom
Better get moving

Totallytrue · 23/01/2008 13:58

Ouch nut just seen your finger .. ouch ouch ouch

Yaddayah · 23/01/2008 14:00

Oh thats me .. points upwards ^^forgot to change back
