And I have two of the blasted things. One is miniscule, which dd just about fits into. (have never used it myself).

Do you just arm yourself with cleaning products and climbing in naked to do it or what?

As you can see I need some help.

yes do it naked fimbo, just before you have a shower

dont do it after or youll feel like you need another

better still, get dh to do it

nailpolish · 15/01/2008 14:44

i say before you have a shower as its a good way of getting it rinsed

ComeOVeneer · 15/01/2008 14:44

Use the spray stuff each time after you shower. Will find a link in a bit. Off on the school run now.

nailpolish · 15/01/2008 14:45

uch that stuff is pants comeoveneer

plus its pricey

plus its not good for the little fishies in the sea

TurkeyLurkey · 15/01/2008 14:48

Well its funny you should ask, but yes, I do mine naked!

Just before I'm about to have a shower I spray the bathroom cleaner around the tray and kneel in front and give the tray a good scrub.

I then get in the shower, with the cleaning sponge and bathroom spray, shut the doors and switch the shower on. I then rinse the shower tray and clean the rest of it (walls and doors, soapdish thingy etc), while I'm stood under the shower.

Everytime I've tried to do it clothed I've got soaked.

I try and remember to do it every saturday morning

Fimbo · 15/01/2008 14:48

I want to do it when ds is at nursery. Oh the dilema!

OP posts:
Fimbo · 15/01/2008 14:50

If you shower afterwards, does it not kind of defeat the purpose in that it needs doing again.

nailpolish · 15/01/2008 14:50

wait til you next have a showe r fimbo

WHILE DS IS AT NURSERY SIT DOWN WITH A CUPPAE

yes i am shouting

nailpolish · 15/01/2008 14:50

no doesnt defeat purpose unless you want to have it spotless every single day

NOW PUT KETTLE ON

Janni · 15/01/2008 14:54

Can't be very good for your lungs to get in the shower when you've just sparayed cleaning product in there, surely?

TurkeyLurkey · 15/01/2008 14:55

No, when you've finished cleaning it, you wash your hair and bits, unless you are really filthy and are shaving really hairy bits off or something the shower still stays looking clean for a few days.

Give it a try...you know you want to!

Fimbo · 15/01/2008 14:57

No, couldn't leave it for a couple of days. We live in a hard water area and the limescale build up is horrible. It has to be cleaned every time.

NIBBLES ON SHORTIE PONDERING.

ha ha ha ha..... Yes. do it naked. two - birds - one stone, comes to mind.

TurkeyLurkey · 15/01/2008 15:00

Really? you have to clean it every time you've had a shower? Blimey.

Iota · 15/01/2008 15:02

put on an old T shirt.

reach into shower and spray cleaner.

reach into shower and scrub with sponge/scrubber thing

lift shower head from its cradle. aim at the wall.

turn on gently

spray all round shower to wash off cleaner

rub dry, with a cloth/towel that's about to go in the wash

I can't be doing with showering inside with all those chemicals - it would set off my asthma

LoveAngel · 15/01/2008 15:05

What if you haven't got a detachable shower head thingy? (I no longer have a cleaner and now live in the real world emoticon)

crumpet · 15/01/2008 15:07

We use something like this every time we shower on the shower glass and it has been great - if I could be bothered I'd do it more regularly on the tiles:Squeegee

Jesus, my first link and it's a squeegee...

TurkeyLurkey · 15/01/2008 15:09

Ooh I've got one of them Crumpet its fantastic! Makes the glass really shiny (when I can be bothered).

Niecie · 15/01/2008 15:12

I have a similar dilemma - cleaning showers is horrible and I can't get it showroom clean anymore (if ever).

Nice link Crumpet. Do you use a cleaning product with it or just wipe away the water?

We have bad limescale too so I am worried the squeegee won't be enough.

crumpet · 15/01/2008 15:15

No, just wipe the glass immediately after the shower while it's still wet - looks like new (the chrome needs a bit of a clean though). Before this, in our old shower the glass was opaque with limescale...

But our squeegee was about 20 p from Ikea - nothing as flash as my link.

Feel like the squeegee queen now...

janmoomoo · 22/01/2008 19:14

I confess to being another naked shower cleaner! Its the best way. Got fed up with bleach marks on clothes, so now just take them off! Woohoo!!

MrsBadger · 22/01/2008 19:16

I do it during a shower while my conditioner soaks in

MrsBadger - I do the same!!

DP has always thought I am NUTS. Take the cleaning stuff and a scourer with, whilst conditioner in hair clean the shower, rinse hair, rinse shower job done.

Sometimes done with DP standing in bathroom whilst cleaning teeth, shaking his head in complete bemusement!

I have no idea how else you would do it. {grin]
