Can anyone recommend a folding/collapsing/space saving laundry basket please?

We have these and I love them (is it wrong to love a laundry basket?)

They fit in the gap down the side of my stacked washer and dryer which is utterly brilliant. They’re also very light to carry. And because they are rectangular, stacked folded clothes fit in them, unlike my previous stupid oval ones.

Probably not what you’re looking for but I use the big blue ikea bags for mine, when I’m not using them I stuff them down the side of the machine.

Also a Brabantia one but slightly different to the one recommended by minipie
Brabantia 105685 Foldable Laundry Basket - Grey, 35 L www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00WJPY7LM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_G8GE50NK2V8H3428VEES?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

They are excellent

I have this one.

Beldray LA034816 Strong Oval Collapsible Laundry Basket with Durable Plastic Handles, 37 Litre Capacity, Grey https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01HRK54O2/ref=cmswwrcppapigltti8MCZBHXMRPMN0A03NNGS

I've been using it for over a year and had no problems with it splitting.

TyrannosaurusRights · 17/02/2022 10:24

Oh the brabantia ones both look good.

The ikea bag suggestion is good but it’s a 100 mile round trip for us. Which is just a bit much for a laundry basket.

I have the same Beldray one as PP. Would recommend.

You know those big blue IKEA bags? 50p? I have one of those and two big orange Sainsbury's bags, the kind with woven nylon handles. Cheap last for years, and you can fold them away.

FangsForTheMemory · 20/02/2022 18:06

@Iwishiwereamillionaire I'm with you on this. I'd rather spend the £15 that the Beldray foldable costs on wine or a pizza.

Iwishiwereamillionaire · 20/02/2022 18:38

You can get them on Amazon (not as cheap as ikea) for example www.amazon.co.uk/Ikea-Frakta-Shopping-Laundry-Storage/dp/6041475440/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?crid=206AMYPZZ1LRX&keywords=ikea+blue+bags&sprefix=ikea+bl%2Caps%2C86&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&qid=1645382114&sr=8-7

I’ve had mine for 10+ years they just don’t seem to die! Grin
