I desperately need to get organised around the house, too tired to check out the links tonight, but thought I'd register my resolution and I'll check in again tommorow!

(Although thanks to my lovely new e-cloth, at least my sink is shiny )

Simply · 01/01/2008 23:05

countingthegreyhairs I think I'll do the babysteps. I'm still on day 2. I need to head for bed as I'm working tomorrow but I'll take a proper look at the FLY site on Thurs or Fri. I need to build up a routine, too.

Sonnet I work 3 days a week. I desperately need to menu plan to make my week run more smoothly. I hope to do that this w/e.

Lewis Your message was a lovely one which I've shared with my dsis (plural). Thank you.

Welcome all newbies.

luda and BC I still need to e-mail you!

Must get to bed. Need to be up for work in the morning. See you later in the week if not tomorrow.

DontDreamItBeIt · 01/01/2008 23:08

Evening

The idea with babysteps is by the end of the month you will have basic morning and evening routines, and an idea of how FLYlady can work for you. Then it is up to you how much more you do. TBH just keeping up the basic routines means no more piles of laundry all over the house, dishes in the sink, and rooms that are overwhelming with the amoun that needs to be done.

You get ino the mindset of doing what you can when you ca and not leaving it til later.

We start a new thread each day and will link to hat days babystep and the daily mission for regular FLYers.
Whoever is up and around first gets the job, but you have to do a lik, as we aren't allowed to copy FL stuff from the site.

No scrabble tonight tortoise, I've been watching CSI all evening

See you in the morning.

DontDreamItBeIt · 01/01/2008 23:47

Dontdream Been playing with Bianca! lol!(scrabble that is!)
And getting her help with filling out dating profile! I really want to sleep but have to finish it to set it up. Dont want to lose it all now lol!

Twinklemegan · 01/01/2008 23:51

Oh dear, fallen at the first hurdle. To go and "shine" my non-shiny nasty plastic sink I have to get past the pile of washing up which I can't do because there isn't enough hot water.

But then, she just says the sink, not the worktop next to it...

Does FLY work if you're working full time. DH does most of the HW since he's a SAHD, but I feel guilty that I don't pull my weight enough. Wonder if I could get him into it as well?

Twinklemegan · 02/01/2008 00:13

Done

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 02/01/2008 00:30

Well done twinkle.

Finally profile is done and has been sent for approval! I won't be fully joining yet as its £65 for 6mths .

Right, i am knackered! Off to bed at last!
Night.

pukkapatch · 02/01/2008 01:40

hi everyone. finally thought i'd come see what all this is all about.
well, my sink is shining now.

DontDreamItBeIt · 02/01/2008 08:15

Day 2....the reat shoe debate

OP posts:
Countingthegreyhairs · 02/01/2008 10:01

Thanks for the advice everyone!

Now just have to get cracking and as dh has been making doughnuts from scratch in the kitchen with dd it's not going to be pleasant .... ...there are little white flour footprints all over the house ....

minspugs · 02/01/2008 10:18

im a lurker, my house is normally a tip but ive been picking up tips from here and its much better. i havent followed the baby steps but i have tried to introduce one thing into my routine at a time. ny resolution is to actually put washing away when i do it rather then leaving it all over the floor as this is my major problem and results in upstairs looking like a bombs hit it

having lazy day today and still in pjs but have unloaded and reloaded dw, put on washing machine and tumble and now im going to take down the xmas decs.

happy new year everyone

DontDreamItBeIt · 02/01/2008 10:23

Got the Sink book today, off to read it in bed now and will officially join you tomorrow.

Polished my sink 2 days ago. Cleaned the whole (range) cooker & hob with bicarb today and am immensely proud of myself. This is just soooo not me, but I'm determined

squatchette · 04/01/2008 02:32
