Weekend FLY - countdown to 2008

Morning all

I thought I would start by posting my morning routine:

Up and dressed
S&S
Make Beds
Empty Dishwasher
Breakfast
Wash Breakfast Pots
Hang Out washing/washing in dryer
Sort out lunchtime meal

All done, apart from the lunchtime meal, we are going to a party at noon, so no need!!!

I really need to get the ironing completed today, as we go away tomorrow.

We have guests staying last night and tonight (God daughter and BF) in seperate rooms - they are only 18.

They followed the clues ok, but I had it set up so hey had to collect pieces of a card at each point to make a picture to finish, and that was too complciacaed. The only ones who got that bit were dd2 and her friend, the others took the wrong pieces and I had o keep sorting it out for those who followed behind them.

Under fives go bored and gave up, too.

Bianca Thankyou, I did get your text, but for some reason my phone has lost the ability to send texts back (something to do with an option I chose when I last topped up!???)

We are back from our reletive visiting!
We were actually supposed to be back on Friday but everyone was ill!

Xmas day I had sickness and diorreah, felt ok Boxing day so we went as planned, DD1 was sick in the car on the way....we arrived and she went straight to bed. Thursday....DD1 had recovered, so we did all the visiting (Oh My Lord...DH's gran!...EXACTLY like the old lady Catherine Tate does!! LOL...she was soooo funny)
Went to Coventry's new IKEA...(I was like a kid in a sweet shop!!) Took the kids to Toys R Us (they have never been in one!, so they were yampy!!) Had a good look around...It has changed so much since we moved 5 years ago!!! They have an outdoor ice rink, and a brand new funfair in the town centre. MADNESS!
Anyway, planned to come home on Friday, started packing up, BIL came home early from work...he had been sick!
My nephew then was sick, and finally, by the afternoon DH was sick!!!
My other SIL (who we had visited the day before) then phoned to say one of her boys had been sick too!
So I had kind of infected the majority of the in-laws!!!
DH had a lie-in on sat, while I went to check out Tesco Extra (Its massive!!)
Then we left late yesterday, and arrived home late last night.

I was so overwhelmed by all the new shops and amusments...I really do wonder if so much choice is actually necessary/good for you! Comming from a tiny village in the middle of no where it was all a bit ridiculous really! You can't drive ten yards without bumping into a Tesco...or a Pizza Hut...or a McDonalds!!

So there we are!....now i have a loads of washing to do...and I have to hunt our spare duvet out (managed to leave our duvet and pillows behind!)
Everyone has now been left with a cough and a cold....but we have certainly had a xmas of illness!!!!
(I KNEW IT! This is our 4th consecutive xmas of illness!)

Well Sorry to ramble on there...but I do hope everyone is well, and they had a good xmas I can see some great lists going on, so I need to sort out the cases, and dirty washing, and do my self a list I think.

Back shortly I expect xxx

Oh..and tort how did the kids like the Wii?
Two of Dh's sisters bought their DC one, so we have been playing on them non stop (well actually DH has...the kids had to fight him for a go!) They are really strange! I played bowling which was ok, but one round of the boxing and I was knackered!!!! Dh has now decided we need one , but he will have to wait for his birthday I fear.

Ok...Here's my list for today

~A shed load of washing
~Put all clean clothes away
~Find places for new toys!
~Have a bath
~Tidy Tidy Tidy
~Put new utensils rail up in kitchen (my ikea buy)

Um....

Oh and I'd like to take the tree down too...so we'll see how we go...

The clip is fantastic! I take it they were very excited (you did very well to keep that one a secret!)

Well I'm on my second load of about 11! Kids are still in pj's but I have had a bath so I'm all dressed. DH is still in bed!

Made a BIG mistake last night. Did a 2 min hotspot and pulled out a couple of drawers, went through and put some stuff for Scope all very FLY huh?
But then

I pulled out the bedroom chair and...

Dust Bunnies the size of sheep Talk about out of sight out of mind. So massive hoover with the fittings and a note to self NOT to let it get that bad ever again

Had a lie in this morning and so far all Ive done is

Make our bed
Draw upstairs curtains
Play with Ed
Put Ed's toys away

Ed has been playing with the board games I gave him for Christmas. He was great, took turns and got really into it. First time ever. I'm really proud of him.

To Do

Hmmm

Tidy Ed's room
Organise stuff in front room
Make control journal etc etc
Check hotspots

I did so much yesterday I can really kick back today tbh

Bar cum pooltable (old pub one) room its seperate from the house so ATM its got all our summer stuff and the old dining table and chairs dumped in there (got to get it ready for the NYE party!)

Hello everyone - thanks for the welcome yadda

I am at my parents right now so not getting my HW done (am sorting stuff that is at folk's house so it still counts!)

When I get home I'll be:

Sorting settee - it has disappeared under stuff.
Put washing on airer and change DS bed
Do washing up.

Will also sit and write my control thingy and start looking at the site - I feel it will take a while to get properly in the swing and this week will be my training week lol lol

At least the mess doesn't get worse while you are away LewisFan

ABOUT TO START THIS..

Hello again to all. You have been busy! What have I done today?

~ walked the dog
~ took the kids swimming
~ put away loads of clothes which dh ironed (no, you don't want to borrow him - really you don't! It was iron or do something else and he doesn't know how to do much else - nor iron, come to that!)
~ made lunch and tea
~ tried on new clothes but most are going back as they don't suit
~ stubbed my toe on some stuff I needed to sort so I sorted it ready for the charity shop tomorrow
~ put trillions of dates in the calendar and checked it through with A (our new au pair who seems to be settling in just fine)
~ one load of laundry

Right. My mince pie and glass of water are finished so I'm going to read the paper. See you tomorrow!
