Hope to try and tackle house later.

EHM · 13/12/2007 08:49

ruby lucky you having a full nights sleep
FGS glad dd's are on the mend

Downstairs is done. Off up stairs to complete my housework for today. Then post office.
Have a great day all.

tort hello from yesterday

TheMincePiedMadHouse · 13/12/2007 09:06

Morning all

Yadd sorry about the cold
Bianca hope tou are spared from work
EHM I would rather have chocs than flowers
fgs enjoy the swimming - I havent been for a couple of weeks due to the snotfest in the house
Ruby I am an ex-smoker so one of the worst stopped when preg with DS1, also he has chest issues so do not allow it at all. It is the one thing I can get away with.

I am going to drop DS1 at nursery and then me and DS2 going to the shops and then back for major cleaning afternoon

SO catch you later

Hello to all. Just a short note from me as I've only got half a cup of coffee left and the house is a tip as a result of trying to find enough space in the living room to fit in a 6'Christmas tree! I'm wishing I'd compromised on putting it in the conservatory now, despite it being too out of the way there. I also have all (bar about 3) Christmas cards to write, a supermarket shop to do, a load or two of washing. Help!

EHM · 13/12/2007 10:00

madhouse what if it was flowers & Chocs?
simply hello

BiancaCastafiore · 13/12/2007 10:08

EHM flowers, chocs, all good if you ask me I'm sure whoever it is will just be very thankful to recieve anything
Simply, TMH, Ruby, FGS hello

I've popped into work and done my bit for tday. I'll work extra tomorrow to allow for some time off today.
Must get the house straight again, but first the utility room gets it. I've had enough of it being such a tip so am at least going to empty and sort the coats/shoes/hats/gloves/scarves in there before starting on the rest of the house.
Also need to do a supermarket shop and a load of laundry. Need to do the mission too.

gibberish · 13/12/2007 11:20

Morning!

Need to get the house orgainised today. My suite is getting picked up in the morning and new one collected in the afternoon! So need to move fridge into cupboard hall (which dh is adapting today to fit), move computer into dining room where fridge was so that I have enough room in living room for new suite. Does that make any sense??

Plus got about 30 loads of washing to do...

yaddayule · 13/12/2007 11:37

gibberish you're talking errr ^gibberish* .. fridges to where ? To what ?

Am on 2nd load of washing
Have run d/w on empty as it was getting gunked up.. lovely !

Feel bloody awful today so excuse me if I grump a bit

ehm chocs and smellies (I never know what to do with flowers I do not have the arranger gene)

OP posts:
yaddayule · 13/12/2007 11:38

Please note my rather inventive half italic half bold experiment on the 2nd gibberish..

OP posts:
BiancaCastafiore · 13/12/2007 12:01

yadda

Gibberish erm, I agree with Yadda I'm afraid - what are you on about?!

My utility room is getting the clean of its life! I have cleared the coat cupboard (coats, hats, scarves, gloves, bags), pegs, shoe cupboard, 4 lg storage boxes and a couple of shelves
Need to do 2 big store cupboards but they may have to wait while I hoover everywhere else. Have to collect ds soon so had better get a move on!

Simply · 13/12/2007 12:14

gibberish I understood your post perfectly!

The fridge is going to move from the dining room to a cupboard (in?) hall.

The computer is going into the dining room in the spot where the fridge used to be.

I think the computer used to be in the living room and now that it won't be there, you'll have space for the new suite.

If I'm right, then I'm on your wavelength my dear! Does that mean we're a bit eccentric, then? I shan't list my current furniture removal plans, only you would be able to follow my logic, gibberish! I'm really trying my best to fit in a 6' Christmas tree!

Simply · 13/12/2007 12:19

Sorry, I forgot to say hello to EHM and BC there! Whoops! Hello.

Oodlesandludasoftinsel · 13/12/2007 12:27

Hello to all

I am having a very emotional morning [sob] My little boy is all dressed up in his school uniform and is about to spend the afternoon up at school. He has 2 afternoons (today and monday) and then a whole day next Wednesday, to prepare him a little for full time school after xmas!!!!
OH MY BABY!!!!!!! HE'S LEAVING ME!!!!!

Actually I have been looking forward to this for yonks, but now I have him all dressed up like a big boy, and he's all nervous and excited, I've turned into an emotional wreck!

I know he'll be absolutely fine as he will be in his sisters class, and he knows pretty much all the children there, but still, I'm feeling a bit weird!

Anyhoo....we have had toddler group this morning, and he went dressed in his uniform to show it off to everyone....he looked really out of place there actually, too big for toy tractors and playmats now.

I'm off to squeeze him (for about the 90th time today LOL) and feed him before he goes

Back to catch up in a while
xx

BiancaCastafiore · 13/12/2007 12:33

simply now you've explained it all so well I understand exactly what will be going where at gibberishs house today! Sounds fab

Luda I so know how you feel! I was exactly the same with ds and have had another wobble this week when he's been staying at school for lunches for the first time - I miss having someone here to chat to at lunchtimes! Ds could go full time after Christmas but I'm tempted to leave him part-time till half-term, mainly just cos he's so young and partly cos I like having him around

I have to leave to collect ds in a minute so ought to be dashing round hoovering but instead I'm sitting here again!

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 13/12/2007 13:51

Hello
Had quite a busy morning while DD2 is at pre-school.

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 13/12/2007 14:09

any compliment counts !

luda I was the same last year when DS had his intro session for school. Very weird feeling IIRC

Well i'm rapidly going downhill, i'm freeezing (sitting here wearing a very unbecoming bobble hat, thermal undies and 2 jumpers) Have turned the heating up to 22 c and i'm still cold

School run in 2 mins.. i'm going out dressed as a womble

Sigh

Doubt i'll get many compliments !

gibberish · 13/12/2007 15:37

simply that was EXACTLY what I meant!

Our cupboard in the hall, where the fridge is going (following this so far??) has a half door so dh has had to saw the bottom of the cupboard off so that we can actually open the fridge. Looks lovely NOT Need a full length door on there now. Goodness knows when I'm going to get that.

Anyway, he's got to put the vinyl down so we can plonk the fridge in then I can start moving computer out.

Then got to hoover my old couch so it is in good enough condition to be uplifted. Don't want the new owner finding £15 in coins down the sides or anything unmentionable...

yaddayule · 13/12/2007 15:39

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
