November Declutter Challenge

I'm sure there was a thread on this for October but I can't find it now!

I am planning on decluttering 1 item on the 1st November, 2 on the 2nd, 3 on the 3rd and so on for all of November. If I bring anything new into the house, I declutter an extra thing that day so things aren't just being replaced. I am planning on keeping a box in the porch for this purpose so it can be collected together and donated each time there is enough.

Would anyone like to join me?

Day 23:

• 2 plastic baskets I used in the last house bathroom cupboards ( I have kept a few )
• 5 other plastic baskets I used in the utility abs kitchen ,now have home edit containers etc so these can go

-1 extra ceramic tissue holder to charity ( I kept a few practically new ones ) -1 DD annoying stress ball it’s all yacky so it’s going

• 1 small stack of magazines
• 2 metal wardrobe systems from old house we don’t need DH had forgotten to remove until today from DS wardrobes there
• 1 big old bin
• 1 a bunch of old freezer food left there as well DH had brought home earlier but not all ,a few things we can still eat
• 1 plant from the old kitchen I don’t want to keep
• 1 plant pot
• 1 packet of bad cleaning rags that fall apart when washed
• 3 toiletbrushes I thought DH had gotten rid of already not sure if I mentioned these in the last months thread
• 1 kitchen floor brush and dust pan
• 2 packets of old Christmas cards to charity shop

Not sure I can finish this month unlike I managed last month since were super busy and I’m dead tired but I might keep going after the 1.12. until I’m done. More decluttering and organising next year in any case . We have the storage locker and the attic room to sort out . First decluttering the rental house out of our lives on Tuesday when our tenancy there ends !

I've been working on some Woolly Hugs blankets and after sorting my stash I've decided to send some yarn to other crafters to supply them for future WH projects.
I'll do a final count tomorrow but I'm "decluttering" over 100 balls of 100g yarn!
That's not only going to free up some much needed space but more importantly it will help me re-focus on my existing projects.
It's a win-win-win

On the downside I still haven't finished sorting clothes for DS5 & DS6. I can already see myself doing it in a hurry on Friday evening before our friends arriving to stay the night!😬

Decluttering has stalled a bit here but the new tv room sofa arrived and I’ve ordered a matching foot stool coming on Friday so that room is getting there. It’ll take a while to decide what to put in the display cabinet but I want to keep the room clutter free and simple . The sofa is luckily very comfortable since we didn’t go try it out just online ordered .

Day 24 :

• 2 more white lidded ikea boxes I found from the garage I’ll swap with ones we have used for everything else in there
• 1 ugly blue handled box also from garage
• 1 old mop cloth
• 1 old mop bucket
• 1 doormat we don’t need in ugly colour as well
• 1 DS too small fleece
• 1 more dog towel from old house
• 3 empty cleaning liquid bottles I consolidated with others from the garage , i suspect there will be more outs there once I’ll organise the new cupboards
• 1 toilet roll stand we don’t need
• 3 big wood pallets and cardboard from DH garage cupboards etc deliveries to dump
• 1 pair of shoes being returned
• 1 fleece bring returned
• 6 Christmas presents leaving the house too
• 1 more chewed up dog toy

obv it's December now but it's only a technicality that I'm posting the last of the yarns today.

All together I've destashed 115x 100g balls of yarn, most of which will be turned into beautiful blankets & squares for Woolly Hugs, some of it is a present for a friend.

I'm also delivering some finished blankets to WHHQ today, here are just 3 Candy's Hug that were made with the help the aforementioned friend (she made one, I made one, 3rd is a collaboration).

Is there a December thread?

I'm interested to see if there's a new thread...having lots of thoughts...not dying but thinking to try something along lines of Swedish "death" cleaning....will explain dilemmas if I know what/where the next thread is.
