Morning mission

OP posts:
PuppyDogTails · 05/12/2007 08:44

I haven't done any missions yet this week, I really need a kick start. Managing my basic routine but that's about it.

TheMincePiedMadHouse · 05/12/2007 08:46

Good morning fellow flyers

I am up and have done the morning routine. No point in the mission for me, as the walls are builders matt magnolia and if you wipe they go back to plaster. DH is going to decorate over the chritmas period.

we are supposed to be going swimming but DS2 is still not right, so we will give it a miss today. I might take them to the local gargen centre to look at the lights.

To Do

Lunchtime Routine

Feed the boys
Tidy and wash lunchtime pots
Sweep dining room floor and clean table
Lunch for me
Ironing
Sort Dinner for all
Clean out fridge
Check Shopping list
Mission

Evening Routine

Dinner for Boys
Load Dishwasher and clean Dining room
Bath Boys
Get their clothes out for tomorrow
Tidy Toys
Load washing machine
Start the dishwasher
Shine Sink
Get my clothes out for tomorrow
Read a book

we are going to walk the estate this evening again to look at the twinkes

Morning

No work for me today so I ought to do some jobs around the house I suppose....
BUT, I'm waiting for the doctors receptionist to ring me back with an appt for ds (he's had earache on and off for the last week )...
THEN I need to go into the school and read with the kids at 10.30 so I hardly have any time to get started...
PLUS I'm tired and just can't be bothered this morning, it's rainy and dark and everything feels blurgh!

I'll get started with finishing my morning routine and then see how far I get...I do need to play catch-up a bit today really as the place is a tip - just need some oomph from somewhere to get me going...

yaddayule · 05/12/2007 09:36

Morning all

OOOOOOOOMMMMMMPPPPPPHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (that's for you Bianca

Hello to EVERYONE

Well I'm still waiting for deliveries, and contemplating town this afternoon, except it is just like your weather Bianca black, dull and rainy and so I really don't fancy going out TBH!

I did get the bedrooms done yesterday, thanks to those who commented...I did pretty well actually...not that you'd notice this morning though!

Tort Yey!!! well done on the Wii...your brood will be delighted! Are they still thinking you won't be able to get one until after xmas?? They'll have a brilliant suprise!
(Hope you find the money from somewhere...we are well and truly in our overdraughts because of xmas!)

Right...better get to it!

BiancaCastafiore · 05/12/2007 10:20

Thanks Luda I found a small dose of oomph and have just finished my ironing Just needed that bit more you gave me to get it all put away (worst job esp as all the wardrobes need a tidy.)

Yadda what was causing your dds earache? I have no idea what's wrong with ds - it's not as though his ear is hurting all the time but he's bothered by loud noises and seems to be shouting all the time (although that may be just because he's a 4 year old boy )

We have to get to the doctors by 12 so I'll have to take him out of school a little bit early.

Better go and help with some reading, I'll probably doze off in the book corner if there are too many nice stories....

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 05/12/2007 10:44

Morning.
Decided to give toddler group a miss today as DD2 is couging a lot. Don't want to spread it even more than all the kids at school wil!

Luda They don't know about the wii. I have to say i am not very excited about it yet. Guess thats because i haven't got it in my hand yet! Waiting to hear back from seller about collection/delivery.

Bianca Hope ds is ok. glad you found some oomph! Send me some!
Place is a tiop and i can't be bothered but i have to before SW comes friday.

Not raining here at the moment. Its actually sunny. it did pour down on the way to school though!

ludaloolovesmincepies · 05/12/2007 10:48

Oh yes....hope your DS is ok bianca....I hope the doctor can sort something out. It may be that it is blocked...my DD1 had this about 2 years ago, and had to have it washed out! She shouted all the time and went a bit deaf, she also had pain every now and then.

tort hope it gets collected/delivered ok

yaddayule · 05/12/2007 10:59

bianca It started when he was four ! Never really got a proper explanation (I badgered the GP and got a consultants referal as he's had on off earache for weeks, they found slight hearing loss and a perforated ear drum (due to pus build up behind the earthey reckoned), he had anti b's which never really helped but he's been fine (touch wood) .. and passed the hearing test (yay!)for the past 8 or so months and we have to go back in the Spring just to check everythings still ok.

tort well done on the wii

Got to get on (have been distracted by internet shopping !)

gibberish · 05/12/2007 11:17

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAERRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

My washing machine has broken down

Man is meant to be coming round today to look at it as it is still under warranty. I think I might know what it is though... washed a pair of curtains but forgot to take the hooks out. And one is mysteriously missing

Hello anyway! Loads to do but got a trapped nerve in my shoulder and am in agony! Pains across chest, down arm and up neck... hoping Paracetemol will get rid of the pain

Anyway going to battle through the pain (what a trooper) and try to do a bit of hoovering!

Got riding lessons, dance lessons, violin lessons and weekly shop to do.

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 05/12/2007 11:36

Oh no Gibberish. I hope its easily sorted. Hope pain killers help the sholder too.(Ouch)

DD2 has gone to sleep so i am getting a few bits done inbetween popping on here!

yaddayule · 05/12/2007 12:05

gibberish Put down that hoover !! Are you mad ! Get some ibroprophen gel (sorry can't spell today) and SIT down

Hope he can fix the w/m

I have (online)bought dd a new jacket, ds a new pair of football boots, and dh a flask for his coffee (when he's watching ds play football in his new boots)

I have not even started my list apart from half unpacking the sainbos bags in the hallway

Good news all round. Man came and fixed the washing machine - first load on Amazed actually! Only phoned Curry's today - arrived within a few hours! Very happy with them.

Plus, tablets worked a treat. And didn't hoover either... still got it to do. Can feel them wearing off a bit but will wait for an hour before taking another one. Need to make an appt though I think... have been having lots of pains in my knees and left hip so better get it sorted. I'm getting old..

BiancaCastafiore · 05/12/2007 15:44

Good afternoon,

Ds has a suspected ear infection but the doctor didn't seem too sure He's given us a perscription for ABs but advised me to wait and see if it clears up on its own before I give any to ds (he's only had one dose of ABs in his life, doctor seemed very keen to keep it that way ) Ds is still shouting but hasn't complained of any pain today so we'll see how we get on for a few more days...if he has pain like he did two eves ago I'll be dishing out the meds PDQ, it was awful, he was screaming in pain .

Gibberish yay for Currys and their wm man Hope your aches and pains clear up soon x
Yadda You're doing really well
Jen Hello
FGS Hope you're keeping OK, dodgy knee sounds painful x
Tort I have a little oomph left over which you're welcome to if you'd like it?

Dd has Rainbows this evening and so we have another Rainbow coming for supper before hand - easy supper this eve, jacket spuds
Dh is working late
I'm looking forward to a bath and a good sleep.
Work again tomorrow ....

yaddayule · 05/12/2007 15:48

Craft boxes .. hrumph .. It used to be easy

1 Easel
1 plastic box filled with stuff all nicely labeled

Then MIL started giving them random junk for "sticking"

So now we have icecream boxes full of

Glitter
Paint
Paintbrushes
Playdoh
Playdoh cutters
Dried up playdoh
Random scribbles that "must be kept I made it for you mum"
Random scraps of fabric
Paper clips
Tin foil
Milk bottle tops
A whole tub of glues (most squidged and dried up some glittery)

So in all 4 giant boxed filled with that little lot

And beleive me its pissing me off

(can you tell )

Bet you're glad you asked Jen

yaddayule · 05/12/2007 15:49

Oh forgot the wrapping paper box and that shredded paper that gets everywhere

And buttons mustn't forget the buttons

Runs off screaming

BiancaCastafiore · 05/12/2007 15:49

Oh, and FLY wise (almost forgot ) I've~
~tidied kitchen
~tidied living room
~made fab train track with ds
~tidied bedrooms
~put away ironing
~sorted washing, first load is in wm
~put away all coats and shoes
~cleared debris on stairs
~s&s cloakroom
~cleaned out fridge - now it's restocked with yummy goodies bought at Waitrose last night

Not too bad, house looks much better and I feel better for starting to catch up a bit

BiancaCastafiore · 05/12/2007 15:50

lol Yadda We have some craft drawers - I daren't even open them....

gibberish · 05/12/2007 15:56

Thanks bianca Have managed without another painkiller until now but going to have to pop one in a second

However, on a happy note, have just done my weekly shopping at Tesco Direct yaaaay! Was my first time so will be interested to see what actually arrives in the morning Means I don't have to trail around for hours tonight, bumping into people, squeezing through masses of trolleys, being jumped in the queue by rude people causing my blood pressure to shoot sky high and wait for hours to be served. Can you tell I don't much like shopping? Oh and have probably saved myself a fortune due to the lack of temptation lol. Always end up buying more than i went for.

So all I've got to do is drop girls at dancing now. Why didn't I think of this before???

gibberish · 05/12/2007 15:58

Being 'jumped in the queue' didn't exactly come over as I had meant it to... Now that WOULD be something to complain about lol

FrostyGlassSlipper · 05/12/2007 16:36

Lol Gibberish - not surprised you dont like shopping if that's what happens!
