Tell me about your wool duvet ?

Is it crinkly or rustly ? The one from IKEA is like sleeping in a crisp packet and I don’t like it 😂 and I want white as opposed to cream so as my white bedding still looks white .
I am assuming they aren’t all that noisy. Looking at the woolroom ones now.

Mine are from the woolroom. They are cream I think? Or at least off white. Although I have never noticed an issue with white bedding not looking white.

They are ok - can use most of the year without being too hot/cold but I would say in winter they are not warm enough on their own. I do have a fairly cold house so possibly a toasty modern house would be fine.

The only thing I don't like about mine is that they are not really true to size. They don't fit a duvet cover properly. I have 1 superking, 2 single and 1 toddler size and none of them quite fit the duvet covers. That's every different brand of duvet cover from George to Joules so I think it's the duvet. I've got used to it but it is annoying.

They are also quite light - DH wants to replace it with one that feels heavy because he prefers that.

I have a Soak and Sleep wool duvet. Not crinkly or noisy at all. Lovely and light weight, warm and breathable. It is cream in colour but it has never been a problem with white duvet cover.

I have a soak and sleep wool duvet and it’s great. Actually I have two as I have a spring and a summer one and they attach together for the winter months.

They take a little while to get used to as they are quite flat. But then they are fab. Mine does not make any noises. When I sleep elsewhere with big puffy old feather duvets I actually find them rather noisy and annoying!

John Lewis one, true to size and okay most of the year. We add a throw in winter.

I think mine is Woolroom. I absolutely love it - it's something to do with the way it hangs.

I bought a wool toddler duvet from John Lewis. It doesn't crackle, is easy to wash when inevitably accidents happen and I've no problems.

I must be half snowman….I have the ultra winter weight one (don’t think they do it anymore) and I have it all year round and I’m still cold in winter.

I don’t blame the duvet for being cold btw….I know it’s me!

I have a wool room one - I love it! Thinner than similar tog duvets but feels quite sturdy too. Keeps me warm summer and winter. Not crinkly at all!

Ours is the 3 Togo e from Soak and Sleep, we also have a 9 tog one for midwinter. It doesn't crinkle and is lovely!

I have a Woolroom Light duvet - for summer/hot people.

It's brilliant! Much more breathable and tenperature regulating than my previous feather one (which i loved). No night sweats since I've had it

Silent, drapes wel. Won't be warm enough for midwinter but definitely good for April - October for me.

Ive just bought this and is still smells a little... sheepy.

Baavet made my white covers look cream as was cream, and no good size inside cover.

Think I'm keeping woolroom one and hoping sheepy smell wears off.

Agree that Baavet is yellow/cream, I sent mine back as soon as I unwrapped it as it made my white sheets look terribly discoloured. Smelt like a farmyard too. We have a Devon Duvets one now, no smell, not crinkly, and not yellow.

Although don’t use them if you have eczema. We made this mistake with DS, made his eczema MUCH worse and took ages to realise the connection.

Woolroom people can you wash yours? I don't know why some are washable from there and some not...

Mine is a Soak and Sleep one (in fact two duvets which popper together). They are off-white, though I have never noticed a problem with whiteness of linen. I only use the thin one as I hate being hot (one reason I bought an old house is that the windows don't shut properly, so I won't overheat).

Sorry - you didn't ask about hotness. You asked about crinkliness. The Soak and Sleep ones are perfectly normal and don't make noises.

after looking at the expensive ones recommended on here I bought a fogarty one from dunelm for about £45. It's been on during the hottest nights of this summer. Seems to always be the right termperature. It's white and not crinkly or rustly. It is quite light though, I might add another blanket in winter purely to weigh it down

My woolroom one isn't crinkly. I absolutely love it. My medication means I go from pouring with sweat to freezing snd it's much more comfy with a wool duvet
My dad got it me for Christmas, and has now got one for himself

I spent a fortune on a wool duvet that was an all seasons with 2 duvets to join together in the winter.
I think it was a woolroom one but honestly what a waste of money. Best part of 200 quid with the mattress topper and I am permenantly frozen. Last winter I replaced it with a 25 pound 15 tog duvet and it is so much better . Really save your money .
