BiancaCastafiore · 28/11/2007 09:00

Good morning

Sorry to hear about those whose little ones are still poorly hope they all get better soon and that their mummies get some rest x

Dh went to work early today and then the children and I slept in till 7.30 (dd and me) and ds slept till 8 I was worried that ds was poorly but once he woke up he seemed fine, thankfully, so they've both gone off to school happily - hooray!

Luda I'm around for a chat on MSN again till 10.45ish this morning - I do hope you're OK x x x

Jas good to see you again last night. Hope everything goes smoothy today

I have to catch up with myself again today - the house is getting worse every day instead of better! Most of it is just mess which we've all got lazy at putting away so I hope to do a quick pick-up-and-put-away session this morning and see some progress quickly.
Late morning I have to go and do an hour or so reading at school
Then, other than the school runs, I'm home for the day and hope to just be able to potter around cleaning up as I go.

I'll be back later x

TheMadHouse · 28/11/2007 09:10

Good morning all

Shannaratiger Your DD sounds like DS2. The out of ours docs prescrives AB's last night but he keeps coughing and vomiting them back. I may have to take him back to the doctors today.

Morning routine is done.
I am awaiting a call from the ariel installers, as we need a new ariel and they are coming today - sometime

I will try and catch up later, I have a pile of ironing to do again - pah does it breed????

Oodlesandludasoftinsel · 28/11/2007 10:18

Hello...thanks to you all, you are sooo lovely.

tort and bianca thank you both xx

Well we are ok...he came home (as he usually does) and after talking and bawling all night we are ok... Its just the same old problems that won't go away, and we are both exhausted. Its the kids we have to think of, so we have decided we have to sort these problems out once and for all. We do love each other but we are just two different people, and curcumstances have made it tough over the last 2 years (he went Self Employed 2 years ago and we had our 3rd child.)
But ho hum! ... sorry to whinge... really I am.

Well kids managed to twist my arm into putting the tree up, so we did that yesterday...cheers the place up a bit though TBH!

Hope everyone is well

yaddayule · 28/11/2007 10:23

luda just caught up on yesterdays thread, hope you're ok

Whoever asked about online delivery IIRC a few years ago Sainsburys did a Xmas Eve delvery,I orders my spouts/carrots/brandy butter etc.. cue a panicked driver knocking on my door asking did I order a turkey? According to him the store had RUN OUT and he'd had some extremely angry customers who had no chance of getting there Christmas dinner

So I tend to have a back up plan !

Have done nothing but mooch on the internet

Gah !

And its cold, and I'm waiting for my Sainsburys delivery (its got pain au chocolat and i'm hungry!)

Oodlesandludasoftinsel · 28/11/2007 10:24

bianca/tort I have to pop out now...If you are around on MSN this afternoon I love to say hi?

yaddayule · 28/11/2007 10:26

x post luda I'm such a sloooow typer, hope it all works out for you.

Can't beleive you're tree is up !

BiancaCastafiore · 28/11/2007 10:28

Luda good to hear you're OK(ish). I hope you manage to make time for yourselves again and work though the worries you both have. It is much harder than people imagine running your own business. And bringing up a young family is no walk in the park either. I always think you do brilliantly
Can't believe you have your decs up and it's not even Decemeber yet

Well, I have to go into school soon.
Upstairs is much tidier than it was and I've put away a load of clean washing which was building up in my bedroom.
There's more washing in the wm.
The dw is empty.

More to do later but I'm feeling a little less over-whelmed so hope to potter on after lunch.

BiancaCastafiore · 28/11/2007 10:30

I am around later Luda (but we may need to fight ds for the computer )

to yadda

TheMadHouse · 28/11/2007 10:35

Luda I am so pleased that you are trying to work it out. I think that it is wonderful that you think your relationship is worth investing in.

I have to agree through Children change so many things DH and I have been married 13 years and never actually fought until the Children came along - not thatit is their fault.

He is the breadwinner now and I worry I am not contributing financially, he worries as he feels the need to be manly and provide for us all. We are just finding a happy medium, but my oh my it is not easy.

Oh yes and family do not help, my mum seems to think that I have thrown my career away and that I have no value as a SAHM, but childcare would mean we would be finacially much worse off is I worked.

ATortIsForLifeNotJustChristmas · 28/11/2007 12:55

Hello.
Nothing done so faqr because it was toddlers this morning. I had a lovely long cuddle with my friends new baby DS. He is soooooo cute! Just 2 and a half weeks old.

Am now watching an item on Ebay and going to tidy at the same time. One i bid on earlier (using lotsnipe) went for 1p more than my top bid, oh well!

Luda i will be around later. After picking DS's and DD up i expect. Glad you are working things out.

TMH Poor DS. Hope he stops being sick soon and keeps meds down.

Couldn't pop by yesterday as I WENT TO WORK!!!! and I'm working 4 days next week too

So pleased that the house is at a manageable state now. I did my morning routines of S&Sing and breakfast and getting Ed ready and the downstairs hooverring done before 9. Seems I've made it easy for DH who will have to do it next week.

Well I'm witterring, hope you and your DCs are well

Oodlesandludasoftinsel · 28/11/2007 13:56

BiancaCastafiore · 28/11/2007 15:51

was fun to chat Luda (and tort, briefly ), hope you both have a good afternoon.

My kids are both home, dd and I need to do some homework and also make a crown but she and ds want some computer time so I'll let them do that first while I bake some quick cakes for puddings this week.

See you all later x

gibberish · 28/11/2007 15:56

Hello! Sorry haven't been around for days - rl is such a pain!

luda Sorry you are having a hard time. Know how you feel though...

Well, have done the home blessing and detail cleaned the lounge. Not even looked at the missions but have probably covered them anyway. Got to go into work tomorrow - really busy time atm. Extra money will come in handy though.

yaddayule · 28/11/2007 16:44

Have done pta stuff this afternoon, so house a tip

Will start again tommorrow

Sigh

gibberish · 28/11/2007 16:53

yadda hope they appreciate all the pta work you do. You put a lot of time into it!

dh took dd4 to her dancing lesson so I am having a sit down before I collect her, leave dd3 for her lesson and go do the weekly shop. Really can't be bothered to go to work tomorrow

FrostyGlassSlipper · 28/11/2007 16:54

Having a terrible day. Sorry for everyone else who is.

On a +ve note my house isnt too bad as I blitzed it on Friday for Saturday guests.

Might try and give living room the once over and then do a room each day as parents coming saturday night.

gibberish · 28/11/2007 16:55

You ok FGS?

BiancaCastafiore · 28/11/2007 16:59

Gibberish I know how you feel, I have to work tomorrow and Friday this week and, although I enjoy it in a way and the money willl be handy I just don't feel like going in! We have an event to pack stock fo rthis weekend and it's a really tedious job!

FGS hope you're OK? Email me of you fancy a chat x

Dd never did make her crown and it's time to take her to Rainbows soon so we'll have to work on it tomorrow eve instead.
Dh is home and will walk dd and a friend to Rainbows (and take ds along too - he likes a walk in the dark ) So, I'll have 20minutes peace to get the house straight again.

gibberish · 28/11/2007 17:09

I shouldn't moan really though bianca. I mean, I only work two days normally! And I like my job - just plain lazy. It's the thought of being stuck in the office when I could be doing other things instead.

Ah well, it will pay for the new(ish) suite I am getting My friend's sister gets a new suite every year (they are loaded) and is selling last year's edition. Is absolutely gorgeous - soft leather, incredibly padded and comfy. Cost over £3,000 new. Is immaculate and I am getting it for £200!! Bargain! Can't wait!
