Bit of a late start; accountability cleaning thread

Dh and dc have gone away for weekend. I am meant to be cleaning but I haven't started yet.

Anyone fancy an afternoon of housework with the Olympics on in the background? And posting your lists here for accountabiliity's sake? ( Otherwise I'll be tempted to nest on sofa and watch the pole vault.)

So far I have:
✅loaded washing machine x 2
✅finally fixed an appointment I have been procrastinating about
✅cardboard and paper recycling

Anyone else?

✅folded laundry

I’ve been a very good girl today. Top of the fridge. While I was up there did the extractor too. Washing on x 2. Changed the bed.

I might go and put the washing machine on and load the dishwasher….

I love a thread like this, but have a day of jobs planned for tomorrow.
Giant to do list written out, pen at the side to cross them off and a take away for dinner as I will not feel like cooking once I've got through all the jobs.

This thread has made me feel like putting away my clean laundry. Uuuuuuuuugh!!!

ive had two strong cups of coffee,
stated at 8am
taken all house plants outside, dusted them and a good watering.
did all the washing up and put it all away away,
cleaned cooker top.
all newspapers and re cycling out to the bins
cleaned both bathrooms really well, im talking loo seats off and scrubbed. (visitors later today)
vacuumed anywhere in house they might go.
house plants in and back in their homes.
cat litter tray, emptied cleaned re filled.
brass at front door cleaned (bar keepers friend is brilliant)
kitchen counter tops all cleared
sinks now scoured
Zoflora on kitchen roll placed around the house
front door mat vacuumed.
kettle, toaster, copper meringue bowl all polished.
spare bed changed and room titivated
im Knackered...

So far I've got up found out my shark is shit still after washing the filters found out I cannot get youtube on the ps3 anymore (disaster with ds2) and I've gone shopping

So my cleaning is going well im cleaning out two ps3s

Well done op! Love an inspiring housework thread! I'm having the day off from cleaning but have managed to do two loads of washing while hoping the rain will hold off...

Also renewing my road tax as remembered it's the last day of the month!

I'm having a big deep clean ready for the kids being home all summer.

I've done all of downstairs this morning. I have half a load of washing to hang up (rest is outside), then upstairs to dust and hoover. Oh and the bathroom to clean.

I’ve hoovered the bedrooms( thoughts on a cordless anyone?)
Living room dusted and hoovered. Kitchen finished. Going to wash the kitchen floor once food delivery has been. I’m filthy and knackered now so need a shower and I’m starving.

Just got house back after visitors can we do this again tomorrow please?

No point doing either until the DC are in bed!
