Morning all

Well I have offically reopened the fly hospital DS2 is a poorly baby this morning. He was sick over night - 4 times on daddy, three on his bed and one on mine. His temp is 39.5, so I rang out of ours soc, who told me to just keep him cool and keep giving him fluids.

He is not a happy bunny and DS1 is being rather demanding - so not sure I will get much done, but I have:

Done 4 loads of washing, another one in
Morning routine

I will catch you all later

TMH poor you and your ds - what a sickly tiem you've been having! Hope you all get some rest today and that he starts to recover quickly.

I'm off to work so can't see myself doing much FLYing. It looks as though I'll work 3 mornings a week between now and Christmas which will be handly £ wise but a PITA FLY and being organised wise!

I usually do my weekly shop on a Monday so may try to do that this afternoon but I'll see how I go.

Hope everyone else is fit and well. See you later x

BiancaCastafiore · 26/11/2007 09:14

I could really do with doing the mission too - the living room has several growing hotspots atm...

yaddayule · 26/11/2007 09:16

madhouse oh poor Ds and poor madhouse household! {{huggles}}

Morning yadda

Well I had the most productive day EVER yesterday! I didn't stop!

~Living room all tidy and rearranged and sorted..no hotspots to report
~Kids bedrooms completely tidied....ds now has about 6 stack boxes of complete and working toys and a toy box of his cars and scooby doo stuff.
DD2 has her "babba's" box and her teddies.
DD1 has a box of Barbies, a box of My Little Pony's and her toy basket with her other teddies and bits in.
All neat, and completely sorted in time for xmas toys to arrive. (we have hopefully really got DD1 some good things...she really only has a handful of toys that she can call her own.
~Kids bookshelf culled and tidied.
~Teddy shelf culled and tidied
~About a dozen toys found and batteries replaced (its like having completely new toys once batteries get put in!!)
~Our bedroom sorted...underbed tidied, wardrobe tidied.
~Downstairs loo cleaned
~Beds all changed
~Kitchen cleaned
~Piggies cleaned out
~Bins emptied
~Detailed vacumm in every room

All I'm left with today is:

~Washing (from changing beds yesterday)
~Clean Bathroom

That's about it!!!

Oodlesandludasoftinsel · 26/11/2007 10:24

Hi to jen

FrostyGlassSlipper · 26/11/2007 10:38

Morning Guys.

Not much housework done but I have written my international christmas cards

JenT · 26/11/2007 10:40

If I may still call you O morning to you too!

Did wonder if I had offended in some way

MUST turn the computer off and get some work done!!!

yaddayule · 26/11/2007 10:44

luda Gold star for sterling effort (can you come round and sort out dd's soft toy mountain please?)

I need to do my international christmas cards (thanks for the reminder FGS)

jen I've done virtually all my Christmas shopping online this year (the delivery driver from Amazon now waves to me from his van!)

Weeeeeeellll I've made a start on the kitchen, but have made the classic mistake of taking stuff upstairs and then trying to sort out 3 bedrooms simultaneously, and have got myself nowhere, I really need to go back to basics

But first .. a cup of tea is needed !

ImdreamingofaGROUCHYxmas · 26/11/2007 10:50

Morning ALL Luda we put tyhe front room curtains back up yesterday. Ed managed to swing on them and pull them down weeks ago and DH has just procrastinated about it for ages. Managed to have a go for leaving proud lump polyfiller on the wall...yeah, well at least I did it. But the curtain treatment is back and the room looks cozy again

Done my morning routines, loaded and run the WM twice and...just sorting out things

Oh, I booked a trip on a steam train with a visit from Santa for Ed for the weekend. Whole family thing, should be magical

Oodlesandludasoftinsel · 26/11/2007 11:12

LOL...not offended AT ALL and of course O is fine. (just thought I'd explain the multitude of names )

Well done GO, the room looks much cosier with curtains, I agree the steam, train trip sounds great...we took our three a couple of years ago to a Thomas Trip...was lovely

yadda paff, you don't need me! you are a superb FLYer ...
I have started to do more than one job simultaneously too!...except not by choice...I keep starting a job, and then getting side tracked by another...and then another....and then realising I have 4 different jobs on the go!! DH reckons it comes with age, as he does it at work too!

TheMadHouse · 26/11/2007 12:01

Just popping on whilst I cook lunch for the boys. DS2 has not been sick this morning, but has really nasty nappies.

Can any one help me with this

Oh Luda we did the Thomas one in September and the boys loved it.

go Which part of the country are you in, as we have one near us

OP posts:
Oodlesandludasoftinsel · 26/11/2007 12:10

Ohh I was just reading that! didn't realise it was you..never checked the name!!
I would have said curry TBH...we sometimes use the leftover chicken for a nice korma.

Right, been to collect DS and now I'm in for the rest of the day so I'm going to have lunch and then start on the bathroom...and change the washing over.

xx

Oodlesandludasoftinsel · 26/11/2007 12:12

...or chicken wraps? really tasy with mayo in a tortilla wrap with a bit of salad.

ImdreamingofaGROUCHYxmas · 26/11/2007 12:45

THM we're in West Yorkshire. It's good for steam Trains, we have Keighley Worth Valley where they did the Railway Children, Kirklees Light Railway and Middleton in Leeds...The oldest working railway in the country apparentley. Oh and it's a short train ride to the National Railway Museum in York. Ed adores trains and as we didn't get to Settle on Friday, the Santa Special seems like just the thing for a polar Express obsessed 4 yr old who has just cottoned onto Father Christmas

OOOps gushing there, sorry

Got to pop to IKEA today so I have to get going soon.

TheMadHouse · 26/11/2007 12:59

Oh we are in N Yorkshire. The north yorkshire steam railway is 20 mins away and york about an hour.

We love the railway museam, especailly as it is free - we went on the big wheel last time we went.

We could meet up if you go again

Hello again - been at work and collected ds from school on my way home. Feel very fed up to come home and find the house such a mess! It just shows how much I usually do in a morning Will have to get a move on after lunch and catch up with some jobs.

We have a steam railway near us too (about 40minutes away) so we try to take the kids along when they have Thomas days - the kids love it (have to confess, I went once and then have sent dh and the kids on their own every time since, there's only so many times I can be enthusiastic about a ride on Thomas!)

Anyway, better get on and have some lunch - then it's blitz time as I catch up with the housework!

See you later x

Shannaratiger · 26/11/2007 15:25

Afternoon all

TMH hope DS2 feels better soon.
Luda I can't believe how much u got done i thought sunday was supposed to be a more restful day.
I'm starting to get worried, everyone seems to have done their christmas shopping and i haven't started, will try to get online presents done this week
I love christmas but i hate buying presents and decorations, i think i set my standards too high and always feel disappointed.

We also had a bad night last night. DD woke up with a cold yesterday. Last night was coughing and then being sick. Luckily first time got pillowcase, sheet and carpet, second time got duvet and carpet. After that at about 1:30 gave up adn we came into the living room. DP started work at 4:00 this morning so he needed to get some sleep. put DS's splash mat onto the floor with a towel, saved the carpet! It has stayed down all day! Got DD back to bed at 2:55 lucky the alarm went off at 3:00, she would never have gone back if had seen DP going to work.

Anyway have done 2 loads of washing, dusted half the room, dusting the computer and cupboard took about 20mins, will try and do the CD adn DVD shelf and the TV later. Also tidied up the airing cupboard. left all spare pillowcases adn old towels together on the top.
Anyway DS is asleep, DD has nearly fallen asleep on the sofa, hopefully she won't be sick on it, should really get on FLYing but just want to have a nap.
Back later

yaddayule · 26/11/2007 16:52

So far I have looked at jewellry online, asked opinions on said jewellry, and then bought it

House has gone to pot

But I shall look all twinky and gorgeous

its bright but i like it

Oodlesandludasoftinsel · 26/11/2007 16:54

Ohhh shanna not another sickky I do hope your dd is ok.

I had a very strange energy boost yesterday actually...that doesn't usually bode well though I have to say. It either means I'm due a period, or it means I'm going to be ill! I have felt farely spritley today too...got a lot of little things done today.

I really think this FLY milarky has turned me into Anthea herself!! It is quite easy to become a bit obsessed I feel!
Today I actually folded the washing into piles downstairs, and then went straight upstairs and put them straight away....now that is a bit worrying!
I am forever fluffing cushions and adjusting things too

Right...off to do supper...

TheMadHouse · 26/11/2007 16:55

Oooo Yad it is lovley. I wish I was not allergic to cadmium. it makes all the fab jewellry out there a no no for me.

But is is so cool
