I am doing food shopping today, and collecting pine cones, holly and fir leaves to make wreaths with the gardening club.
Also the fair is in town, so we shall go this evening. (hopefully it won't be too cold!)

Firstly I have to get dressed, and get all the kids dressed, we have not long all got up

luda am v. impressed with homemade wreaths, much nicer than the bought ones.

Had a lovely 5:30 start this morning, DD wet the bed, tried to get her to go at 2am when she woke up. Never mind means that her bed is done. Have therefore done morning routine and 2nd wash is on.
DP is at work today, have to do a quick hoover in living room because dd's lost her Igglepiggle toy's blanket, prob. in the alternative toy place - under the sofa/ chair. DS is asleep at teh moment so good excuse to sit on MN.
Anyway enough boring prattle, hope everyone is having a good saturday

Got up early this morning. Had a lovely evening with DH last night, watched 2 stunning films (Closer, about Ian Curtis of Joy Division and the one about the men who went to the moon) and listened to a stunning album that I haven't heard for a while (Bloomed by Richard Buckner if you're interested as I'm rather evangelical about him) Drank too much red wine (DH is still dead in bed, the lightweight), Settled on the name of DS2, who we are NOT having ever and just felt really happy.

So happy I didn't mind getting up, clearing up or sorting Ed out. And it wasn't my turn either.

Ah, I hear DH moving about, poor lamb, better go check he's OK

All i have got done so far is walking down town to post a parcel!

I do not know where the day has gone. DH got up with DS1 through the night and they were down from 5.30 am. We think that he is on the mend, last of the steriods today, but he is still like a deamon possessed.

So far today, I have done the food shop, 5 wash loads, made apple pie for tea, tided out the car boot, sorted out coats and wellies for the car, hoovered downstairs and played tiddly winks with DD.

Still loads to do.......

I have given in and put the heating on! I am shivering!
Maybe if i got off my bum i might warm up a little!

Well just back from town, done the food shopping and decided not to go to the fair later...its raining, its cold, and TBH we have more important things to be spending money on....and rather strangely the kids didn't mind!!! something weird going on there...

I am concentrating on de-cluttering and dusting and re-arranging furniture this week. I want to put the tree and all the decorations up next saturday. I am quite suprised at myself this year...I am usually itching to put it all up by now, but I'm not this year. I think last year I couldn't wait and they were all up by now

Oh...a funny story...DD1 LOVES cats/kittens and anything even vaguely catty or kitteny. A few weeks ago whilst buying piggy food in Pets at Home, she spotted an advent calender with cute kittens on the front, and proceeded to jump up and down wanting it, but I said it was too early for calenders just yet......anyway, whilst shopping the other day I thought I'd pick her one up (thoughtful mum I am )....once I'd got there though all the kitten ones had sold out...so I thought, next best thing was a guinea pig one. Once home it dawned on me....THEY ARE CALENDERS FOR PETS!!!! DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! so DD1 now has guinea pig food to look forward to each morning

well actually, we found her a normal one today, so she doesn't really have to sit chewing on seeds ..... except people will think I'm a tad barmy buying a calender for a couple of piggies! good job we actually have guinea pigs isn't it!

You see... completely brainless!!!

PMSL Luda! Lucky piggies though! I am usually putting up decs by now too. I don't know whats going on. Will get the room tidy and put them up next weekend now i think. (Or maybe tomorrow.)
I don't think the tree is going up this year. Its too big in a small room. Have a little fibre optic one any way and we don't do the presents under the tree thingy!

Bought a nice Vitamin E face cream from my body shop party, I saw it just before I left the house, and whilst waiting for the kids to stop fannying about, put some on....
Got to shopping this morning and catch a glimpse of myself in the rear view mirror....my face is a strange patchy orange colour!!! DUH AGAIN...it was tinted! I'd just slapped it on and didn't notice. It took me ages to figure it out LOL...I looked like a complete weirdo...it was all patchy and thick! I was soooooo pleased I'd spotted it before I got out the car. The kids didn't coment either LOLOL they must be used to me looking like a donk!! lol

No we don't do pressies under the tree either....the kids would fiddle with them too much!
Anyway...santa brings them all xmas eve so can't put them under the tree!

I love my tree too. But within days the kids have knocked the baubles off and fiddled with bits!
I might change my mind yet if i can make space for it.

If it is any help...my friend got a bargain...she bought her girls a nintendo ds type thing from ebay, £13 each I think it was... maybe your ds's would like a hand hels type console until you can get a Wii for them?
