  • Asda shades tissues come out as a huge lump! You can't get a single tissue out!
  • Ecover and surcare sensitive are useless as washing up liquids

I never have an issue with shades tissues tbh.

Do not buy Asda feather soft toilet roll. Whoever named it has never touched a real feather!

Have you ever accidentally used shower gel in the bath and it just sinks to the bottom? Does the same thing.
ILoveShula · 21/05/2021 15:00

Scented loo roll.

I wasn't impressed with EG cream but the spray is good.
The washing up liquid from Lidl is good.

Buy fewer sprays. Use liquid instead so that you are applying it to a surface not inhaling it.

Disposable wipes and dusters. Use things that can be reused instead.
Same with kitchen paper.

Don't dilute things like disinfecant in advance.

Barkeepers Friend. It stinks and makes a mess.

Chicchicchicchiclana · 21/05/2021 15:09

Aerial laundry pods - they've changed the fragrance and the new one is horrible.

actiongirl1978 · 21/05/2021 16:10

Barkeepers friend smells like lemon scented poo 🤮

Waitrose floor cleaner is dreadful, loads of suds of soap that you can't wipe off.

I use ecover washing up liquid, I like itConfused

TheSockMonster · 22/05/2021 11:18

Comfort coco fantasy fabric softener. Smells like burnt rubber.

I don’t usually use fabric softener but was seduced by the idea of coconut scented towels. It took 2 further washes to remove the smell and the rest of the bottle was poured down the sink.

osbertthesyrianhamster · 22/05/2021 11:28

Zoflora

SpnBaby1967 · 22/05/2021 11:33

Zoflora, perfect if you want your house to have a vaguely floral chemical smell.

ab21 · 22/05/2021 11:39

Love Method wood cleaner but not a big fan of their floor cleaner. You're meant to squirt it directly on the floor but I'm never sure whether you dip your mop in and out of a bucket of hot water and mop it all over the bit you've squirted the method on.

Tesco non stick sponge scourers (yellow sponge, white scouring bit). Used to be great but now fall apart in a couple of days. My mum found the same. I called Tesco and they said they'd recently changed supplier. However, I've tried Spondex and they're a good alternative. I can't believe I've written a whole paragraph on sponges, I think it's time to get out more....

DaisyRenton18 · 22/05/2021 19:16

Another vote for Zoflora, I bought into the hype I saw on here and think I've used it twice.

I also thought both Finish & Ocado's dishwasher tablets were rubbish compared to Fairy's.

GuyFawkesDay · 22/05/2021 19:20

Waitrose sponge scourers. Fall apart. Dreadful

All own brand non bio washing powder apart from Aldi. Persil all the way other than that one as the rest don't seem to do anything.

Scented loo roll bleaurgh

Agree about the Waitrose floor wash. Useless. Smells nice, mind you! Dr Bronner soap works far better.

@ab21 I’m glad it’s not just me that has no bloody idea how to use it! I tried just squirting it on and dry mopping but with no noticeable difference in cleanliness. I tried it with a wrung-out damp mop, but it then seemed too diluted to do anything. I have a steam cleaner now and 2 half-used bottles gathering dust in the back of the cupboard!
