EvilHM · 29/10/2007 11:42

Hello...EHM I have just descovered that our cat has fleas...I think I have been lucky and caught them before they got everywhere and started biting us all. I took a trip to the vets and got some "Frontline" it was damned expensive but it has done the trick.
She has stopped sctratching and licking herself bald! I haven't seen any either so hope fully I nipped them in the bud early...

ludaghoul · 29/10/2007 13:23

ruby That's a lot of money for a coat!....but then again, it will always be there for that special occasion won't it. You could look at it as a bit of an investment??

LOL...we bought our last car for less than that! LOL

Thanks for all the reminders, I have sorted the car insurance for our new car phew, a huge weight off my mind - one more day and the car will be ours!

Kids are being little so-and-sos today and are currently both in their rooms, giving me a chance to draw breath and thanks the Lord that they are back to school tomorrow!

We still have to tackle the trip to the shops to buy dd some shoes though

EHM good luck with the fleas! We use the frontline stuff, very effective.

Ruby will you wear it often enough to justify the price?

BiancaCastafiore · 29/10/2007 13:38

Hello and welcome SuperMonkey and Cinders

SuperMonkey · 29/10/2007 13:44

Aww Luda how frustrating. Hope it gets sorted x x

Ruby I know that feeling...I spent money we didn't really have on an outfit for my weekend away with dh a few weeks ago, just to make myself feel more confident - it was money well spent as I felt fab (and I've worn the clothes loads since too) I think if you can absorb the cost you may as well go for it !

Off to brave the shops (and try to resist bribing the kids to be quiet with toys/sweets, they don't deserve them)

BiancaCastafiore · 29/10/2007 14:08

OK, I take it back....just looked in on kids and they've set themselves up playing a very cute game of schools in dds bedroom how is it they can they make you so one minute and so the next?!

Ruby if it makes you feel better I bought a velvet coat when I was about 20 when I couldn't really afford it (now I'm 35) and I still wear it occasionally. It has never been in/out of fashion. But then I'm never going to be the one to try and persuade someone out of spending money on clothes/shoes/handbags!

Hello... thanks guys...I can't get hold of the man, so I have lit the fire to heat the water (lots of faff and it will take much longer but hey!)

LOL @ hoovering the guinea's (I know what you mean though)

I will have a look at redhouse....my dd2 is the spitting image of pippi longstocking! She also LOVES in the night garden. My other 2 love dr who!! so I'll be looking there, thanks ruby

Well I have taken some Max Flu thingys and a strepsil, and I feel a bit better...I've managed to hoover downstairs and do the dusting.

I am off to do a bit more...the kids are under instruction to tidy their rooms well they are quiet anyway! I'm half watching "60 Minute Makeover" I'm very ...as usual!! It does look good though, but I don't believe for one minute they do it all completely in an hour!

yaddayah · 29/10/2007 14:39

ruby I have a black velvet coat I've had for about 15 years .. if its a classic then perhaps its worth it?

Sorry am I meant to be putting you off??

Welcome to supermonkey and cindersneedshelp
