Can you clean your hoover heads?

Can you clean a Hoover head? I use mine in the garden on artificial grass, also hoover up a lot of the kids food mess, so I want to clean it but am not sure if you can.

I asked my mum and she said it's not something people do, so 🤷🏼‍♀️

I wouldn’t hoover up food tbh, dry crumbs maybe. I’m trying to imagine the WTH moment if I looked out of the window and saw my neighbour running the hoover over the lawn Grin

I’ve never washed the head but seems some people do -I’d be worried the water/bleach would corrode the belt that drives the bar or causes the screws to rust or something.

I wash as much as I can, drying outside in the sun or near a radiator in the winter.

Yes I clean my hoover head. I get all of the hair out every week as I'm a cleaner. Mines a Miele and has screws to undo so you can clean it.

My hoover head is just an attachment, so yes, I do wash it, under the tap, with an antibac wipe.
