Morning Ladies

OP posts:
ludaloo · 22/09/2007 07:37

I'm up early this morning...DH is poorly, has a terrible cough, which woke me up, then DS woke, closeley followed by DD2. DD1 has just got up now.

I am off out for a while this morning, I'd like to find a folder or something for my Welsh...and maybe some pens....and perhaps a pencil case....a ruler? LOL! God I'll turn up looking like I'm going to school LOL!
Myself and a couple of other mums have decided to organise a Halloween Party for the village children, we are thinking a disco, and some goodies... DD1 has out grown her costume, so I think we will have to find her a new one. DD2 can then have her other one. DS has never wanted to dress up before (not his cup of tea), but maybe he might do something this year.

Simply Ah...so you have had lessons in the past? Did you find it easy to pick up?
I am hoping I can find enough time to do the lessons properly...I can definately spare the hour and a half every Monday....my friend will look after DS and DD2....we have made a deal as I usually look after her DD2 for the same amount of time on a wednesday, while she Keeps Fit.
I just hope I can find the time to study it at home...but I am sure I can, especially in the evenings (can be bed time reading or something)

squatt Good luck with deciding what you want to do...do you have any idea? My decision to train for teaching was only really discussed over the last few months, I just realised time is ticking away, and DD2 will be at nursery in Feb, and school full time in Sep 09. I have always worked with children in one way or another, and I always wish I had done it when I finished Uni...so now I've done the baby bit, I'd like to have a go. (better late than never!)

Anyway...better go get sorted

Morning Guys.

Ruby - when it is finished you will forget all of the stress

Off out with DD1 today while DH has DD2. We're both excited about it as we rarely get any time for it to be just the two of us

gibberish · 22/09/2007 12:46

Good afternoon! Wow, it's quiet on here today - hope everyone is having a good weekend so far.

Quiet here today - dh has gone out working, dd2 and dd3 have gone to do their paper round, dd1 is up the town with her friend so I am left with just dd4 who is playing in her room. Given me the chance to make a start on the 4 paintings I need to get finished by the end of next week for the exhibition... yikes! So no FLYing for me today but that's ok as majority of it was done yesterday.

Ruby, can sympathise. We started installing our new kitchen in July and still have the tiling to do...

Neverenough · 22/09/2007 12:54

Afternoon all!

I have an aunt staying so can't do much....also we have viewed a house that we love and have made an offer

Ironing now with phone next to me...dh gone to watch rugby.....in to town to shop soon....

catch you all later!!

Neverenough · 22/09/2007 12:57

grouchyoscar · 22/09/2007 14:43

Hello...I'm back...can I come in?

Had a great holiday, didn't do much but we relaxed and kicked back. Got up at 7 and we were home by 10:30

There is a mountain of washing to tackle. I've done the whites and put them to dry and there is a load in...bit of an emergency wash. Ed's Teddy and Blanket are in there...Blanket was smelling like it lived under a damp sink and Teddy...He smelt like he could bum 50p off you for a cup of tea outside a bus station

So I've emptied the suitcases and bags and put stuff away. Made Ed's bed, opened the mail (junk, junk, no I don't want a credit card, junk, no I'm not considering a secured loan thank you, wage slip and a jab appointment for Ed)shined the sink and catching up with reality.

Hope you are all well and all that xx

ludaloo · 22/09/2007 15:37

Hello everyone

Hi GO Glad you had a good break, nice to have you back

Well I'm back from town,
Kids are kitted out for halloween, even DS has a costume this year...he's a devil (no kidding!)
DD1 is a witch, and DD2 has DD1's old witch costume. They blagged me into getting them a pumpkin lantern each too Its not good...DD2 cannot be missed out any more!! She knows exactly what she wants!
I bought myself a ring binder, paper, a note book, pens and a pencil case.
....oh and some tea towels.

I have sneezes and a sore throat, so I've put the water on so I can have a nice soak.

On the FLY front...
~Need to hoover
~Need to fold a load of washing and put it away
~Need to swop washing into T/D and put another load in W/M
~Make beds ( not done it yet)

Then I'm gonna put my feet up

xx

Oh Hi GF and Luda It's good to be back

glitterfairy · 22/09/2007 16:52

Blimey you are putting me to shame!

I have now done:
washing x3
drying hung out and one in dryer
washing up and tidied kitchen
small amount of tidying in living room

still to do

PAPERWORK!!!!

gibberish · 22/09/2007 17:05

Feeling vey proud of myself. Whilst waiting for paintings to dry have made my control journal . Now I just have to stick to it....

I have the house to myself now! Cannot remember the last time that happened. dd1 is at her friend's house, dd2 is out helping dh work, dd3 and dd4 are at the park with friends. It's the first time I have ever let them go without their big sisters and am a bit anxious about it. But let dd1 and dd2 out to the park when they were younger than this, so probably just being over-protective. Trying to stop myself go and check they are alright - tell me I'm being daft!

grouchyoscar · 22/09/2007 17:29

Just got to put the laundry into the drawers and wardrobe and I filled in my CRB form for Monday

Done

Make pizza sauce
File paperwork
Complete paperwork for employers
Clean table
Put cloth on
Tidy kitchen

Teddy is dry, blanket is dry, both super soft and snuggly and smelling sweet

Awaiting the return of Ed and Dad. It's good to be home and back online

ludaloo · 22/09/2007 19:21

Awwww glad the teddy smells beyootiful again

I'm feeling rough.... sneezing, runny nose, sore throat....BLEURGH!!!!

Dh is in the middle of lighting a fire, so I'm going to get the kids to bed and snuggle on the sofa with my Good Housekeeping magazine and the strepsils.

See you tomorrow x

(oops...dh has just read my post and is peeved that it isn't HIM I'm going to snuggle up on the sofa LOLOLOLOLOL!)

OP posts:
ludaloo · 22/09/2007 19:23

OP posts:
gibberish · 22/09/2007 20:12

Aw luda. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Girls were fine - shouldn't have panicked but it's hard not to.

3 paintings down... off to watch telly now.

Have a good evening ladies

Simply · 22/09/2007 21:41

Hello to all and welcome back to go and glitterfairy. Please excuse me if you haven't actually been away gf but I don't recall seeing you recently! Thanks for the thread luda.

Yes, I've done a few Welsh classes! I did year 1 and part or all (it's a loooong time ago) of year 2 about 20 yrs ago and a bit more about 12 yrs ago and Wlpan (an intensive course) about 6 yrs ago.

Ok. It has been a busy day and all I've really done in the house is some cooking (and dd has made a lemon cake and ds a crumble) and laundry. The rain is due to come in this evening so I should keep an eye on the weather really. Dh has needed to do work for a fair bit of today so it's been a bit odd, really. Right, I'm going to go and sit down on the sofa with dh. See you tomorrow!

ludaloo · 23/09/2007 07:00

Morning all

I am up waaay to early today. DD2 woke me in a panick as the electric had gone during the night, and so the lights were all off. I had to get up quick before she woke the whole neighbourhood!

The weather is grim this morning too... very blustery and wet...quite warm though strangely.

Well I'd better go do breakfast

Catch you all in a bit xx

OP posts:
Jas · 23/09/2007 07:36

Morning all glitterfairy - Papillion was looking for you this week. I said I'd point you in her direction if I "saw" you. I hope you've caught up with her.

Ruby - I really hope you get your floor finished this week.

GrouchyOscar - Nice to have you back.

Ludaloo - Moning. Are you feeling any better?

FGS - Did you and dd1 have a nice day out?

Neverenogh - When will you hear if your offer has been accepted?

gibberish - I've always resisted the control journal, but everyone keeping talking about it is making me reconsider.....

to simply, shouldbe, EHM, Bianca and everyone I've missed.

I went out on Friday night and spent all day at a Brownie day with the dds (I spent the entire time painting flowers onto small girls hands and arms)
DP had ds, so of course couldn't do anything apart from look after his son

I will be changing beds, doing laundry ad gettting my routine back on track today. I need to go shopping too. DD2 will be 7 in two days and I have no present, no food, and nothing special at all in for her

ludaloo · 23/09/2007 07:48

Morning jas
I'm feeling a bit tired and snotty TBH...feel much better this morning than I did last night though....thanks for asking
DH has it too...I am sure it is just a cold, but DH is insisting he has something different I have just taken him a cup of tea and the strepsils. (Its Man Flu isn't it )

Anyway, while I'm not feeling too bad, I'm going to hit the kitchen today. Cupboards and drawers need cleaning, emptying and sorting (Its getting ridiculous...I have to cram pots and stuff in and shut the door quick) I emptied the bottom drawer yesterday, in the vague hope of fitting my new tea towels in it! I pulled everything out and sorted through. (Its amazing what you find! I thought I'd lost half of it long ago!)So bottom drawer is done...just waiting for the tea towels to come out the dryer (had to wash them all....don't like them when they are new...they don't dry properly)

So kitchen it is......

OP posts:
ludaloo · 23/09/2007 09:14

Right....

Bottom drawer tidy and loaded with teatowels...I've moved the foil, clingfilm, baking paper etc. to that drawer too, rather than stuck on the shelf.

Middle drawer (drawer of horrors) Tidy and washed out (had to tip the contents on to the floor and wipe the drawer round)I hate this drawer it has all the odd things in it I can't find a home for...like phone chargers, curtain hooks, fuses, camera films and the likes......but all sorted and neat again

Top drawer (cutlery drawer) Took the cutlery tray thingy out and washed it....found a small tupperware tub to put all the plastic spoons in...chucked a fair few syringes and medicine spoons (I reckon there were at least 20 in there )

Next are the cupboards I think....

OP posts:
ludaloo · 23/09/2007 10:00

2 cupboards done Kitchen is looking better (well actually it doesn't look any different until you actually open any drawers or cupboards but it feels better to know they are tidy)

I'm considering sorting out the living room next...find a place for the CD's to live rather than stacked up on the windowsill. I might move the sideboard over. I soooooo wish we had a spare room we could use as an office type space.

OOOOHHHH I'm all in a "sorting" mood today!

OP posts:
grouchyoscar · 23/09/2007 10:26

Up at 7, Empty DW, put away, pegged out...Whaaaah, I have too much wet washing to get dry (blub)
