SMS I am very impressed at your FLYing. You are doing mch better than me this week. i a good kick to get me going again on Monday.

FGS I like your routine remindersThey really do help.

Jas I'm glad you got some sleep last night...how is the toe?

I've forgotten all the things we are supposed to be doing everyday!! Maybe I do need a control journal type thing

I will do the beds today anyway...as DD2 spilled squash on our bed yesterday...and I just turned the wet bit round to the bottom of the bed...but it has left a nice blackcurrant stain!

I'm off to check yesterday's thread to remind me of all the bits to do

ludaloo · 08/09/2007 07:54

Ok...

Is this what we are supposed to be doing?

  • do your morning routine
  • 2 minute hotspot
  • 15 minutes somewhere
  • kelly's mission (not at the weekend)
  • evening routine
  • change the beds

Is shining the sink in the evening routine?

(sorry I've had a bad week...and flying has taken a back seat so to speak )

FunkyGlassSlipper · 08/09/2007 08:01

Morning Guys

Today is a fun day not a housework day so just do your morning and evening routine.

  • do your morning routine
  • 2 minute hotspot if you want
  • 15 minutes somewhere if you want
  • evening routine

Make the bed. Add it to your morning routine ie, do it every day. Unless today is sheet hanging day for you dont worry about that

Have a great day !

harleyd · 08/09/2007 08:03

heres my plan
feed the kids
go back to bed with the baby

alcohol is never clever

FunkyGlassSlipper · 08/09/2007 08:06

If it helps anyone, my morning routine is this :

Morning routine

  1. Make bed
  2. Swish & Swipe bathroom
  3. Put a washload in
  4. Empty dishwasher
  5. DRINK SOME WATER
  6. Clear away breakfast things
  7. Think about what you want for dinner - take out meat if necessary.
  8. 2 minute hotspot
  9. 5 minute room rescue
Jas · 08/09/2007 08:06

Just about.

Make your bed is a new part of the morning routine (I just confused matters by sayig I was going to change our beds anyway).

So....

Morningroutine_
Up and dressed to shoes
Swish and swipe
one load in washing machine
think about what's for tea(dinner)
Make your bed

Wheneveryoucan
2 min hotspot
15 min room of your choice
Kelly (M-F)

Eveningroutine_
Shine sink
get tomorrows clothes ready

I think.

Thanks jas and FGS .... I have printed this page off...as I can't remember it all

I'm getting so very forgetful...I forgot my dads birthday on Thursday ....he phoned me yesterday to ask if I was ok...as I never ever forget his b'day I've just been so busy and so stressed this week...I completely forgot!

Anyway...

I'm up and dressed...as are kids...dh gone to work
I've:
~Picked up all dirty clothes
~Made all beds...stripped ours
~Put a load of washing on
~Unloaded/reloaded D/W and put on
~Did a 2 min hotspot in kitchen
~Tidied kitchen surfaces
~Folded a load of washing which has been in T/D since Thursday!
~Got the minced beef out the freezer for supper this evening

I'm getting there slowly...

winemakesmummyclever · 08/09/2007 12:07

The dodgy health of posters continues as I was cursed with a very squirty botty for most of yesterday and last night . Not too bad today thankfully, otherwise I would be sitting on ds's swimming ring . Hope everyone and their poorly dc's are feeling a bit better too.

I seem to have spent the whole morning following dh around with the vac as he does various diy jobs.

Have managed morning routine though it does seem to go a bit off course when dh is home .

Going to get ds off to sleep for a bit and do some of the jobs I set myself.

Hope everyone has a good day .

daisyandbabybootoo · 08/09/2007 12:10

hi there....just a quick question for you. I want to FLY, but notice you're on day 15. Do I just jump in or wait till a new flybaby thread starts...or start one myself?

Being new to flylady and the good housekeeping threads , I don't know where to start....

TIA

ludaloo · 08/09/2007 12:37

I'm sure if you jumped in now, you'd catch up quite easily...this is where we are all at (well supposed to be!)

Morningroutine_
Up and dressed to shoes
Swish and swipe
one load in washing machine
think about what's for tea(dinner)
Make your bed

Wheneveryoucan
2 min hotspot
15 min room of your choice
Kelly (M-F)

Eveningroutine_
Shine sink
get tomorrows clothes ready

SlightlyMadSCAREYthing · 08/09/2007 15:15

Dasiy - it is quite easy....we basically started by shining our sink on day 1, then added something new on day 2 and 3 etc.

SOme days we have just had to read something from teh FLYlady website - soit should be easy to catch up.

Actually - we are not putting washing in yet, or swishing and swiping or thinking about tea......we havn't got to those steps yet - so we are bnot actually as far along as LudaLoo .

Today I have
Shined my sink
Got up and got dressed (early for me too)
Been out to butchers, Musci shop and Tescos. Have brought DTDs recorders (my lord what on earth have I done) [?
Tried to recall how to play recorder
Cleaned my dishwasher ready to put on ebay (very yuck indeed)
Decided not to put on ebay
Cleaned my freezer to put on ebay
Decided not to put on ebay
Cleaned my bathroom sink, toilet, windowsill & mirrors with teh intention of S&Sing from next week

Must find a couple of hotspots to do...and go and put tumble on.

tibni · 08/09/2007 18:25

This week has been a really bad week for me. DH has found out he is to be made redundant. (probably finishing this Friday)

But, somehow I am just about keeping going with the baby steps. I know I wouldn't be without this thread to keep me motivated, so thank you all. x

winemakesmummyclever · 08/09/2007 18:43

Well, it has all gone to pot today. I'm sat surrounded by toys, my washing hasn't made it out of the washer, and worst of all, my sink is no longer shiny. Just one day with dh not at work - that's all it takes!! Of course, he has been creating mess by doing the jobs I asked him to do (at last).

I have managed to do morning routine, 2/3 spare beds for mum and niece to stay in while we're away next week, plus instructions for appliances for technophobic mum. I also did an hour or so of weeding (God, what I wouldn't give for a Mellors!).

That was cut short by being locked out of the house by ds - while he was still inside . Cue some athletic endeavour from dh to get spare garage key from my dad (5 mins away thankfully), whilst I tempted ds away from stairs by singing to him and dangling my shiny watch through the letter box!

Need a stiff drink and a hot bath now, so no more housework from me today & dh is cooking tonight. May even skive off night-time routine
