Good morning

Luda we started threads at the same time! I've re-routed people to yours as it has better graphics

I'm off to work in a minute and have a busy day ahead of me there preparing for an event next weekend...I'm tired just thinking about it!

Hope you all have a good day

ludaloo · 18/08/2007 07:58

Not doing much today. It is our village show, but its raining I'm hoping it clears up soon as I've never actually been. We are usually in Scotland this week. It'll be the first year in about 5 years we haven't been (we are too skint this year )

HN Hello Glad your Ds's have had a good break, I bet you are looking forward to having them home though.

tort ooooh we get huge spiders in our meter box....euuurgghh!

Right off to have brekkie

ludaloo · 18/08/2007 08:04

What's the event you have on at work shouldbe? Hope your day isn't too busy

OP posts:
shouldbe · 18/08/2007 08:22

It's the Greenbelt festival Luda. We have a huge marquee shop there - very busy and very tiring but fun none-the-less LOADS to start to pack up ready for it at work today...>

Have to dash, must leave the house in 10mins!

ludaloo · 18/08/2007 08:28

Ooooooh sounds good shouldbe

Ok...I've been looking at the FLY site and it has spurred me to do the beds today. It is pouring down so I don't think we'll be going to the show. I might flip the matresses and bicarb them, and give them a good vacuming.

Also want to give the bathroom one last go over before the zone changes next week.

(I've been slack this week, what with 2 days worth of headaches and then a fuzzy head all yesterday.)

OP posts:
EHM · 18/08/2007 09:27

Morning All

shouldbe have a great day at work.
luda hope you enjoy the festival. Is your head less fuzzy today, do you feel better?

My friends dh left works especially early last night to get home to bath the twins.Because of the issue with Kings Cross he didn't get home until after 7 Dh was so glad I had decided to do the extended journey.

I slept until 850 today thank you dh I feel really wiped out don't know why

Driving to visit friends in Chelmsford today who had a baby approximately 1 month ago.

Off the get dressed have a great day all.x.x

ludaloo · 18/08/2007 10:04

EHM I feel much better today, thank you

Oooh by the sounds of the train delays, its just as well you didn't chance it.

Well....I have just (lovingly, I hasten to add ) done all last weeks missions in one go. Cleaned the loo very thoroughly...all the way behind it, and all the skirting boards (GRIM!) I have done the bath, and polished the mirrors, and cleaned the shelves. Just the airing cupboard to do (no still not done it )
I've given everyone a warning to make sure their pee goes where it supposed to go too.

"Nothing says I love you like a clean loo" I have a feeling that whole concept is lost on my lot
Anyway...I feel better for it so I don't mind doing it too much.

This is going to be my new sign for above the loo:

IT ISN'T PLEASANT YOU'LL AGREE,
TO SIT IN SOMEONE ELSE'S PEE,
SO IF YOU SPRINKLE WHEN YOU TINKLE,
PLEASE BE SWEET AND WIPE THE SEAT!!

Morning everyone

Hi luda Hope the weather picks up for the village show and it isn't completely washed out. (I'm in Scotland btw - what a shame you couldn't come!) Well done on doing all the missions You must be mad lol.

shouldbe hope you have a good day at work.

Have a lovely day with your friends and their baby EHM. Aaw. Oh btw, my sister had a gorgeous little boy Horrendous labour and she is still suffering but the baby is soooo good.

Going to be busy today with the party. Almost had a disaster. Finished the girls' costumes last night - painted a yellow t-shirt with black stripes for the bee outfit then left it outside to dry. Then forgot about it. Got up this morning and found it had been raining all night and all the stripes had run Had to dash to Asda and amazingly found a yellow t-shirt with black stripes!!!!! What a relief. Is a tight size 8 so nott too big on her and my dd1 can wear it afterwards

Have a good day everyone, whatever the weather

FunkyGlassSlipper · 18/08/2007 20:27

Hi Grouchy. I'm around but busy getting DH ready as he is going away for a week tomorrow.

Hope you're all ok.

gibberish · 18/08/2007 21:46

Aw sorry grouchy... had to dash off to the party.

Went fabulously well - couldn't have gone better! So relieved. 27 children turned up along with quite a few of the adults. I did face painting and we had countless games lined up for the kids - one after another to stop them getting bored and playing up in between. Great fun! They all loved it. And they even ate all the food Good old fashioned party - can't beat it.

And it only cost me and my friend £30 each, including the food and hire of the hall - honestly!

EHM · 19/08/2007 07:25

Morning All

grouchy HELLO* FGS Will you be on your own with dds? Hope they are ok for you & sleep well at night.
gibberish party sounds fabCongratulations to your sister on the birth of her lo

We got to friends & Ellie was sleepy then started burning up so had to come home. She had temp until this morning. We had to call NHS direct at one point.

Have a good day all. Lots of cuddles for ellie today.

Jas · 19/08/2007 07:26

Morning

Sorry grouchy I'm not ignoring you. I had a computer free day yesterday

Limited FLYing happening here still. I can't keep on top of it all and do nice things with the dds, so the house is losing out. 2 more weeks and they are back at school so I'm making the most of it. They have a kids club the last week, so I may be able to catch up a bit then.

Jas · 19/08/2007 07:30

Hello EHM crossed posts. I hope Ellie is beter today.

Also wanted to say well done on the party costs gibberish My kind of party.

shouldbe · 19/08/2007 08:01

Morning all

I've had to get up and deal with cat sick again this morning...I think we'll be having a trip to the vets this week if this carries on.
Work was very busy yesterday but we made a good start on preparing for the event so hopefully the other staff will be able to get it finished before Wednesday.

grouchy aww sorry, I was at work all day yesterday not deliberatly ignoring anyone
gibberish well done on the party success we do parties at home too, always seem to be good fun
EHM hope poor Ellie is OK
Jas it's hard to feel bothered about the house with the kids around isn't it? I seem to be managing by whizzing about like a mad thing if the kids have a play on the computer/telly time or in the evenings. I know I'll miss them once they're back at school so don't want to take time away from them too much.
FGS It must be hard whn your dh is away, hope the week goes smoothy

We haven't got much planned today so will see what we decide once we're all up and dressed.
Have a good day, see you later x

FunkyGlassSlipper · 19/08/2007 08:46

Morning guys.

Yes EHM. Just me and the girls. Hope Ellie is well today.

Shouldbe. Tell me about your cat. Has it been sick often? and for how long? My last cat had vomitting problems over a period of time...

I have had a lovely morning so far. DH got up at 5. to go but I went back to sleep. DD1 woke at 6.45 and came into my bed and watched TV. DD2 woke at 7 and had a feed in bed so we didnt even come downstairs until 7.30.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 19/08/2007 08:47

Btw Jas I am taking your approach and leaving veerything until pre-school restarts. Although it is easier to keep place tody when DH is away!

ludaloo · 19/08/2007 08:54

Morning Everyone

I'm sorry GO I spent yesterday in bed I had another migraine . Dh was a hero and took all the kids out. I fell asleep in DD1's bed (it is the comfiest bed in the world!) Woke up and it was 5.30pm I think I went up there at about 2pm!
It was my 3rd attack since Tuesday and I feel well and truly battered about

Anyway.....

EHM hope Ellie is ok...poor thing xx
shouldbe glad you managed to get a lot done yesterday at work.
gibberish Ah....Scotland . We usually stay in Aviemore. infact we are usually there now Mind you, I bet the weather is not much better there.
Glad the party was a success...and what a bargain!
