Morning

OP posts:
shouldbe · 19/08/2007 09:22

Luda that's made me lol!

FGS the cat is eating well and behaving normally in every way but for the past 4 days he's been sick late in the evenings/overnight...what was it with your cat?

shouldbe · 19/08/2007 09:27

oh, and FGS it's not like it was recently when he had a tummy infection - he was off his food and the sick was all bile-y (sorry if tmi for this time in the morning!) He seems well in every way except I find sick every eve/morning....

grouchyoscar · 19/08/2007 11:07

The shiny sink trailer was.....

Quite horriffic

The tune would make me vomit in my nice clean shiny sink for a start...and your floor would be a wet, slippy tip of pans etc

And my sink hasn't been that messy since I started to FLY

ok, rant over

Sorry for my afternoon sulk yesterday, I just missed you all

Better go, I'm off to see my grandma and grandad. They like to see Ed, he's their 1st and only DGGS.

Catch you all later, have a great day xxx

FunkyGlassSlipper · 19/08/2007 13:11

shouldbe - my cat had had tummy bgs and furballs before but this was different. She seemed ok except her fur was not quite as shiny as it had been and she was vomitting every day. We took her to the vets and he suspected a growth in her stomach. He gave her an injection which should have stopped the vomitting for about 6 weeks. Unfortunately it lasted about a week and then returned. Conclusion - growth so big that the food couldnt get through

Now I'm not suggesting at all that your cat might be this poorly but if she is not getting over it after a few days I'd definitely recommend taking her to the vets.

My thoughts exactly on the shiny sink trailer grouchy If you thought the tune was bad, you should try listening to the words (or not)!
The whole point for me is that I have to wash up first to shine the sink.

My kitchen is good today, and I have done mountains of washing.

I've done painting, glue and colouring with the dds, and splashed in puuddles with all 3. I'm going to make dinner and not do anything else much now.

Afternoon ladies

FGS your poor cat - how awful Hope your's picks up soon shouldbe luda lol at that video. Grouchyoscar was right - it was rather vomit inducing! Is it even POSSIBLE to have a sink that dirty? BTW weather here is incredibly bad - gale force winds all night so I didn't sleep much because of it howling through the windows. Need to do something about insulation.

Thanks for all your comments about the party. I'm so pleased, parents have been telling me their children are still wildly excited this morning about having been. Errm, that may have been the jelly - we did try to check that there were no E's though...

Next party is tubing for the older kids... won't be able to do that on £30 though

Got millions to do today and only 2 hours to do it. Off to dinner at my mum's later. Will sort out a list and rope in the kids in a tic.

Hope you are all having an excellent weekend

gibberish · 19/08/2007 14:40

Oh incidentally, my shiny new dishwasher has stopped working It gets to a point then just doesn't do anything else. I'd been thinking it had completed the cycle and had been taking stuff out and putting it away. Didn't notice until yest morning after we had had messy spaghetti bolognese that it actually isn't washing atall What makes it worse is that we have all had dodgy tummies. I had put it down to a bug, but it may be germs from the dishes... Blergh.

AufishFeQueen · 19/08/2007 15:37

Hurray! half an hour until I get back my kiddies! Afternoon All hope you are all having a nice weekend! I did yesterday, no Flying, went out with a friend and found £50 on the floor! I was a happy bunny!

PeckaRolloverAgain · 19/08/2007 17:11

Hi is there room for a newbie?

Jas · 19/08/2007 17:12

Always, pecka

PeckaRolloverAgain · 19/08/2007 17:22

Im not REALLY a newbie as have tried and succeeded once and tried and failed another few times but I REALLY want to get back into it - house is a disaster without and baby number 3 due at christmas, Im scared of drowing under the mess!

grouchyoscar · 19/08/2007 17:28

Back from visiting my DGPs. Ed was a HUGE handful but I know he enjoyed it. I think he was a bit much for DGD, he's 81 and a 4 year old whirling dervish must be difficult. DGM is 77 and she was ever so patient with Ed, she has the skills and I picked her brain on what I could do to keep Ed in line

Ed fell asleep on the bus home, bless.

Home
Empty WM
Hang up to dry
Lay table
Load and run WM (Ed's blanket needed a wash)

To do
Ironing
Sort out DH's clothes for the wedding next week
Sort out some clothes for me for the wedding
make shopping list of things I need (card, wrapping etc)

Hope you've all had really good weekends

FunkyGlassSlipper · 19/08/2007 17:54

Hi Pecka

GO - share your tips then

My best tip at the moment is when DD says I want/I dont want blah blah....I just say "ooh yes i want to do that too...forever." And we imagine together a chocolate mountain or living in a tent at friends house or something. And then she goes and does whatever I wanted her to do in the first place. Weird but it seems to be working..

shouldbe · 19/08/2007 20:08

That sounds like a great idea FGS I'll try that with ds who is going through a huge I want/don't want phase...
Thanks for the advice re our cat. I think if he's sick again tonight we'll head to the vets tomorrow.

GO sounds like you had a nice day out, I loved it when my DGP were around to be involved with my dcs

Pecka Hello welcome back.

We went swimming this morning and all had fun Ds screamed the place when we were getting changed (he has a fear of swimming pools) but had great fun once he was in He's been asking to go again so hopefully we've crossed a milestone in the swimming battle with him.
Then dh took the kids out for a couple of hours this afternoon and I ran the hoover round and sorted a few bits and bots for work.

Hi i'm new! Moved over here from another thread where i was moaning about having to do loads of quick cleaning before we have visitors. Not finished nearly enough but thats my problem, should have been flying before then i wouldn't be in this mess! I tend to be a night visitor to MN so don't know how many of you i will get to chat to, but i will be checking in, i promise!!
One good tip i got from this thread, ages ago, was to get one of those book folder things with plastic pockets inside, then i sort my paper work into it. I have one pocket for current bills, one for leaflets i need to keep accessable, one for people i need to contact, and so it goes on! I find this really good as the books are quite slim and don;t take up much space but everything is near to hand!.
