Morning all

OP posts:
Jas · 29/07/2007 14:50

Oh, shuldbe I do hope things get better for you today. You can't possibly be as bad as yu say. If you were you wouldn't care and it wouldn't be upsetting you, which it obviously is.

Maybe a bit of basic FLYlady loving yourself is in order.....if you do nothing else, shine your sink today and start afresh tomorrow.

I've had a rubbish day, too if it helps to know you aren't alone. I seem to be able to drag a non-argument with dp out over the whole day and spoil it for everyone He has taken them to the pub and left me in a supposedly clean house (he was cleaning whl e I took them out earlier) to do dinner. I honestly can't see what he has done

I'm going to take my anger out on the dds room I think.

tortoise · 29/07/2007 15:01

Oh dear Jas. Sorry you are having a bad day too. Sod the dinner,go join them at the pub and eat there.

FunkyGlassSlipper · 29/07/2007 15:09

Sounds like everyone is having a rubbish weekend. All STOP what you are doing. Go and make a cup of tea and sit for at least 15 minutes.

SimplySparkling · 29/07/2007 15:14

Just a quickie as I'm on a roll with ironing and stuff.

Jas Sorry if I've made you . I was having a "I'm not doing any maths - not even for a second!" moment. Should have kept it to myself instead of confusing other posters, I guess. I had NHS glasses as a child. I think mine were pink. Dd's face is now too big really for the kids ones and they look small on her. She's 12 yrs. I think there's a lot of peer pressure now, too. I know of several girls dd's age who have been wearing contact lenses since primary school because they didn't want to wear glasses. It's so expensive, too. I saved up to buy my own and that was at age 17 yrs.

EHM You are sweet to say that I'm more important to you than money! About the life insurance, I realised months ago that whilst I'm well provided for should anything happen to dh, he wouldn't be if anything happened to me, so we took out life insurance for me until dd is 18. Add up the cooking, cleaning, childcare and my wage and I contribute quite a bit to the household, so we chose 100k. It's £6 a month.

shouldbe Sorry that you're not feeling good today. You can e-mail me anytime, remember. I just need to mention that I've got a new e-mail address and I need to give it to you.

luda Sorry to hear that you're not well still. Could you all be re-catching bugs from someone? I'm sure your house is properly clean. I can understand though if it would make you feel better to zap it, so to speak.

I've got hols coming up that I need to get ready for so you may not see me around much for the next week and then not for about 3 weeks after that. Anyone who wants me can CAT me.

yaddayah · 29/07/2007 15:20

Just flying by to give a big girly hug to shouldbe as it sounds like you need it

Heck hugs to all (and i'm not the huggy type)

See you all Monday

Yadd x

(luda thanks for the asking after.. just been out and about a lot lately )

tortoise · 29/07/2007 15:29

Well i finally got a few items listed on Ebay! Only 14. need to get more done. Might do later. Really need to make a bit more money to be able to afford a few days away.
items so far if anyone wants a look!

Jas · 29/07/2007 15:36

I was in the kitchen washing up, and remembered someone asking about the cake making (i make them and sell them to my friend who does a sandwich round. I have to do it at her house so she gets the nice smells though. It is ideal for me as i cn take ds (and the dds in the holiday)

I also remember lots of hugs from last week. Thankyou everyone who thought of me. Sorry for not responding, but I do remember smiling at the time.

Tortoise -If I went tot the pub I would just sit and seethe abou the money he is spending when we are broke. Better to stay here and chill out a bit.

yaddayah Who gave you permission to have a life?

Have a lovely holiday Simply

I am going to take glassslippers advice and make a cup of tea now

grouchyoscar · 29/07/2007 16:21

Shouldbe - whatever you said you are that is what you are NOT OK.
The house will come together over the next few days and if it takes a bit longer, hell, it's not the end of the world. Will you remember this in 5 years time...Probably not so don't worry too much.
And you're not an awful mother. I reserve that trophy for me OK. (Ed had been playing on the XboX all afternoon)

EHM We all have those days with DS/P so {big huge grouchy hug} to you , BTW is Ellie enjoying The Fraggles? We are at Grouchy Central Oh and the haircut is fab thanks. I really enjoyed it.

Lol GO. My dd's have been on the v-smile and watched tv quite a bit today. They have been outside this afternoon a fair bit.

DS's are home now and the ps2 is on!

shouldbe · 29/07/2007 19:59

Thanks everyone

Still feeling tearful, but not quite as bad as I was earlier... wish I could have more confidence in myself but often find I have this underlying feeling that I'm just not up to any of the tasks presented to me...

Anyway, I thought I'd do a list now, while I have a few minutes, ready for the morning. The kids are at a club for 2 hours tomorrow morning so I need to make the most of the time.
