Good afternoon everybody hi to all the regulars and the newbies. As you can see I'm a bit later than of my usual 1am or 2am starts to this thread!

Most probably will be starting the thread again at some stupid time though tomorrow as I have another huge pile of ironing to do tonight, had last night off!

Well I'm one child down today as the oldest daughter has gone out for the day with her friend and I will be off out with my youngest son in a minute to take him to a birthday party.

My done list:

Breakfast of boiled eggs
Got DD off to friend
washed up
cut the boys hair
general tidy up
2x loads of drying
got dressed
wrapped birthday present

Right I'm off to drop the boy off at the party. Have a good day! TTFN!

ludaloo · 27/07/2007 15:09

hmmm....I'm bored now....but found this here

Ho Hum!! It made me chuckle anyway!

ludaloo · 27/07/2007 15:14

Aufish you should be renamed aufishironingqueen ....
Infact both you and simply should get 1st prize for being ironing champs. I managed half a basket last night whilst watching "Mock the Week", then got bored so ate choccie biccies and watched Peter and Jordan have their baby

ludaloo · 27/07/2007 15:15

(not literally you understand )

SimplySparkling · 27/07/2007 15:21

EHM I was eating cherries when I read your post about me! I had to grin and mind that I didn't swallow the stone at the same time!

luda Town was really busy today and I've got to go in again shortly. That'll be the third time today!

Right. I must peg out this washing. See you later.

julezboo · 27/07/2007 15:40

Afternoon all

what a poo afternoon its been

Babyds wont drink his milk, hes had 8 ozs all day and a petit filous yogurt.

Leccy meter ran out, DF has the car, nearest shop is 5 miles away he wouldnt come home ! Had to get a taxi, but first had to put credit on my phone to ring the bluddy taxi so its just cost me £30 to get £10 leccy DF was worried about losing 2 hours pay.

Home now, Im all teary and annoyed Got nothing done, went to walk to the shop but the pathway was all flooded and no other way through apart from down the side of a dangerous road which I wasnt doing. Couldnt wait till half 5 for leccy not with two kids

Julie
(off to clean angrily!)

julezboo · 27/07/2007 15:41

Ive just decided I want to move away from the valley!

Jas · 27/07/2007 16:21

Awww julezboo What a rubbish day
I hope you manage to take out your anger on the housework.

I've read and forgotten the rest sorry

Welcome flybabies and returners. Are we all having a fresh start with the summer holidays?

Can't remember who but I know that someone with a tiny baby asked how to keep up with housework. The answer is you don't! If everyone is clean fed and rested that is enough. Everything else is a bonus.

Having said that, I found it easy to do a bit while ds slept when he was tiny and it got harder as he got older. Sorry He is 17 months and much more demanding of my time. He was a very easy baby though.

I've done very little. DS has been whingy all day, the house is a mess despite me doing lots yeaterday, and I've argued with dp. I need to get something done or there will be more stress when he gets home.

Home

Ed and DH had a great time at the children's museum. I'm shattered and skint but hey, it was a good experience for Ed

Came home and sorted out the prunings of the Elder bush from yesterday, condensed it down to a bin liner of leaves for the compost bin, a bin liner of stems that the council will collect and a pile of kindling for the neighbour.

Got to contact the council now

Hugs to Juliebooz That was a rubbish thing to happen

julezboo · 27/07/2007 16:45

jas sorry you argued with DH, Must be something in the air!

I do know what Im having for tea takeaway. I am not cooking.

I didnt do no more housework, I had a bath with baby ds who wouldnt stop crying, it worked, hes now asleep and gabalot ds is in his room giving me some peace DF will be home in 45 mins !

shouldbe · 27/07/2007 17:13

Welcome newbies etc Happy FLYing!

Sorry you argued with dp Jas, one of those days I think - I've argued with my dad this afternoon, has left me feeling but I doubt he's even aware he upset me!

~get a load of washing in the wm nope
~make a poster advertising our car for sale nope
~deliever a birthday present nope
~arrange collection of old dw done
~take the kids for a walk/bike ride/something outside before it rains again done

We went out for a walk before 12 and finally got home just after 3 having had some lunch in a cafe and been for a play at the park lots of friends were there to play with so fun was had by all. Lovely warm sunny afternoon too

Julez take away sounds good - I think I'll try to talk dh into getting one for us...(nearest take away is 15mile trip there and back so need to be desperate to make it worth while!)

Have a good eve all

Jas · 27/07/2007 17:51

I did the same thing this afternoon. I sweetened a trip to the shops (dd1 hates shopping) with going via the park. There were loads of kids to play with and we stayed an hour, then shopped and bought lunch and ate it outside the shop, before coming home to cook pizza for tea.

FLYing definitely works. I have managed to get downstairs looking ok in next to no time. It would never have been possible before.

I still haven't read the thread.
Have been browsing ebay for dresses for DD1. She has out grown nearly all of hers and she is very girlie so loves dresses. Nothing took my fancy though.

DS's are at their dads now until sunday night. I can spend time with DD's on my own now. Which will be nice.
