Use bleach all around the house 2 or 3 times a day .DS thinks usage excessive and not good for enviroment !.Is this too much ?.Any other products that are safer but just as effective?

I don't use bleach much at all. What on earth are you doing to need to use bleach several times a day? What are you using it on/ for?

There is a Housekeeping Board to ask on.

But no, I don't use bleach.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 26/06/2019 14:36

Did you know you posted this in feminist chat? I opened it fearing it would be about some obscure and terrible use of bleach. Very pleased to hear you’re just using it for cleaning (although several times a day seems a bit much tbh)

terryleather · 26/06/2019 14:36

This is MN, so the preferred germ killer is surely Zoflora...?

hipsterfun · 26/06/2019 14:37

Zoflora’s inexplicably popular on MN Confused

teyem · 26/06/2019 14:37

Around the house, three times a day? I'd be more concerned about my lung health.

Haworthia · 26/06/2019 14:38

You bleach your entire house 2-3 times a day.

Yes, that’s very very excessive. Most people wouldn’t even hoover that much in a day.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 26/06/2019 14:38

I’ve never come across zoflora any where but MN

I assumed it was fictional

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 26/06/2019 14:38

I use bleach in the toilet once or twice a week. That’s it.

I don’t understand what your are doing with bleach all round your house 3 times a day? Confused what are you bleaching every few hours?

hipsterfun · 26/06/2019 14:40

Unlike the legendary Everlasting Chicken, Zoflora is a real thing.

terryleather · 26/06/2019 14:41

Coming here for FWR exposed me to the wonders of Zoflora hipster, I had no idea it was a thing.

I'm now a covert and have a huge collection - Twilight Garden is my favourite.

dementedpixie · 26/06/2019 14:43

I use zoflora in the fabric softener bit of my washing machine for smelly gym kit. I have also used a solution of it on a puked on carpet to get rid of the smell. Bleach is occasionally squirted down the kitchen sink

terryleather · 26/06/2019 14:43

Or rather venturing out of FWR onto other MN boards exposed me to Zoflora...my previous post made it sound like Feminist Chat was punting cleaning products!

hipsterfun · 26/06/2019 14:44

I’m concerned for you, Terry, tbh.

MythicalBiologicalFennel · 26/06/2019 14:46

Zoflora’s inexplicably popular on MN

It is indeed. I think we need a zoflora board. I can't stand the stuff personally Grin

terryleather · 26/06/2019 14:50

And so you should be hipster, this isn't even all of my collection...

Safe Use of Bleach!
formerbabe · 26/06/2019 14:52

I suppose cleaning can be seen as a feminist issue...

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 26/06/2019 14:52

But where do you buy it?

I’ve never seen it in Sainsbury’s

barelove · 26/06/2019 14:53

Trying to find the feminist angle here... Your son seems to be showing a healthy interest in housework. I’d encourage this by ditching the bleach (dolphins!!!) and let him do the cleaning his way from now on. His future partners will thank you!

AlwaysComingHome · 26/06/2019 15:02

Sometimes exposure to Twitter makes me want to bleach my eyes.

Some things can never be unseen.

terryleather · 26/06/2019 15:02

All major supermarkets should stock it Bernard plus Home Bargains and B&M.

I've never found Sainsbury's to be a particularly good hunting ground right enough.

hipsterfun · 26/06/2019 15:06

Enough with the peer pressure, terry.

Just say no to the Zo, Bernard.

Meyoumeanmeh · 26/06/2019 15:12

I use bleach in the toilet once or twice a week. That’s it.

Same- and a squirt down the plug holes.

dottiedodah · 26/06/2019 15:15

Sorry about the posting, fairly new on here and I obviously sent to the wrong site!
