Safe Use of Bleach!

Use bleach all around the house 2 or 3 times a day .DS thinks usage excessive and not good for enviroment !.Is this too much ?.Any other products that are safer but just as effective?

Too much cleaning dulls the soul.

I squirt a bit of thick bleach down the toilet when scrubbing skids off (with the loo brush!), so depending on how productive my children are, that could be several times a day.

I can't think of anywhere else I would use bleach. Very occasionally on the kitchen sink, or to deal with stains on white items maybe? I don't use bleach as a routine cleaner - I would use floor cleaner for floors/surface cleaner for surfaces etc.

What are you using bleach for all round the house 2 or 3 times a day? Apart from the toilet what needs bleaching?

I actually bloody hate cleaning, though I love things to be clean.

I'm with others and only use it down the toilet once or twice a week. I don't use bleach anywhere else.

Am going to try Zoflora in with my gym kit now after reading that.

Personally I just use bleach in the toilet a couple of times a week. Using bleach all around the house 2 or 3 times a day does sound excessive to me.

I use bleach when i prepare raw chicken...i dont eat meat and im paranoid about killing my children, accidentally

I think dh uses it for the loo...but if i show an interest he might make me clean something so im gonna pretend that i have no idea

Give the bleach, brush etc to your son and let him crack on.

Not even my beloved Zoflora could get rid of some of those sights...

As an aside, one of the best tips I picked up from here was to soak cotton wool balls with Zoflora and put them in your vacuum cleaner - makes it smell delightful!

Not a good idea to use bleach so frequently. Try using cider vinegar with warm water instead It is a good cleaner.

I use bleach two or three times a week down each toilet (of which we have two) and similarly in the kitchen sink to soak the cloth.

I certainly don't (and won't) bleach my entire house as you do.

RufusThe BewilderedReindeer , Sorry had to pop outside to see to the plumber /,blocked Bathroom pipe(hopefully nothing to with the Bleach eh?).What I meant was bleach loo 2/3 times per day (,sometimes 4/5 of us in and out during the day ).and like you, use it if I have had chicken/raw meat to cook .Also pour bleach into kit sink /leave to soak once /twice per week!and clean bathroom sink with neat bleach on cloth/tissue /taps etc!.

I don’t think dh cleans with neat bleach...i think he just sticks it down the loo

I do bleach the sink sometimes but im not saying when cos im sure someone will say im disgusting and my family will die and it will be my fault

That seems a lot. Why does the toilet need bleaching 2/3 times a day?
