Has anyone tried Koh eco-friendly cleaner?

I keep seeing ads for this and am very tempted. I like the fact it’s refillable so reducing plastic waste, and the ‘one product for everything’ idea. But... does it actually work? Would be grateful if anyone has any views (or alternative suggestions?)

Does someone want to PM me a code?

Do you have to use microfibre cloths? Or can normal cloths work?

Jillybean1a · 17/08/2019 09:06

Can someone send me a code, thanks

JunesBalloon · 17/08/2019 09:14

I've been using it a while and I'm not all that impressed tbf. I think it works because of the cloths/sponges that come with it not because the actual product is good. I know it's all safe/eco friendly etc but I'd prefer some sort of scent to as it just makes things feel cleaner. It's ok but not amazing and I won't be buying it again when it runs out.

Bellesmum67 · 17/08/2019 14:30

Please could I have referral code from someone I would appreciate it

Starfish75 · 18/08/2019 16:08

@killpop please could I get a referral code as well. Many thanks :)

chugga · 18/08/2019 16:28

If anyone needs a referral code for Koh just send me a message and I'll send you mine ☺️

I'm so glad I purchased this, I've seen it on FB for the past 6 months and finally decided to cave and buy one last week and I'm so glad I did! I actually enjoy cleaning now because you can see that it's actually doing it's job - the only downside I can say that I've experienced with Koh is that it's scent free but I just add some oils into it and it makes it smell nice. I'll definitely be putting another purchase into Koh once the box runs out which is huge! I feel like you get a great bargain with it. It says that it lasts up to 3 months for a family home but I found that I used quite a lot the day I got it because i decided to clean every nook and cranny so if you want to do that then it definitely won't last the full 3 months but for what you get it's worth it.

TooTiredToBeCreative · 18/08/2019 16:36

Can you use the code on the already discounted bundles? If so could some one PM me a referral link please!

Littlechocola · 18/08/2019 21:47

I’m interested but slightly worried that all the recommendations are from people that get money back if they persuade others to buy?
I’m being cynical but.... (sorry)

chugga · 19/08/2019 07:57

Hi Littlechocola, you do get money off if you purchase and someone has gave you a referral code however, I genuinely enjoy the product and think it’s fab and would recommend it whether I had a referral code or not. If you do want to purchase then you can use mine or not if you don’t want too. Happy cleaning if you do decide to pick one up ☺️

Sunnysidegold · 19/08/2019 08:42

I've seen loads of ads on Facebook and have been intrigued too. Although worktops are granite so it might not suit me. @Weathergirl1 I think I like it more now I know the name is the symbol for the active ingredient ☺️

chugga · 19/08/2019 09:10

@sunnysidegold you can use Koh on absolutely everything if you didn’t feel comfortable using it on marble that would be OK, you can use it for your kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, car, garden furniture etc etc. It is genuinely a good product, I was quite skeptical prior to buying it because I seen the adds on FB where people would clean their oven and it would look as good as new and I’d think really? eye roll and that was the first thing I tried and it really does look as good as new. The only downside I mentioned in my original comment was that I didn’t like that it had no scent but you can add essential oils too it but for me that’s better than oven pride where it cleans your oven but it cleans your lungs out too with the amount of coughing you do! 😂

chugga · 19/08/2019 09:11

Granite sorry @Sunnysidegold

WhereDoesThisToiletGo · 19/08/2019 09:16

Can you use it on granite or quartz?

chugga · 19/08/2019 17:40

@WhereDoesThisToiletGo yes, you should be able to use it on both of those

80sMum · 20/08/2019 09:23

I think it works because of the cloths/sponges that come with it not because the actual product is good

I agree! I bought some Koh a few months ago and because I already have loads of microfibre cloths, I just bought the cleaning fluid and didn't get the bundle that included cloths and sponges.

On the inside of the oven door, I've tried it with various options. With a normal cotton cloth - result not great. With a green nylon kitchen scourer - much better. With a microfibre cloth - better than cotton but not as good as the scourer. With a "magic sponge" - excellent results.

Is the Koh "diamond sponge" the crucial element in the cleaning process?

I wonder whether one might achieve similar results using just plain water and the sponge. I haven't tried that because I didn't buy any of the sponges but I certainly do find that the generic "magic sponges" are very effective, although they do disintegrate quite quickly.

chugga · 20/08/2019 09:37

@80smum I would say the diamond sponge is crucial I suppose because it is firm, I love a magic sponge but I feel like if I was cleaning my oven with it, it would just be in shreds once I was finished with it whereas the diamond stays in tact

HairyPotter · 30/08/2019 19:51

Hi @chugga, I’ve used your referral code. Hope that was ok.

Tragically I’m quite excited about trying it and I loathe cleaning

chugga · 30/08/2019 20:05

@HairyPotter yeah of course that's fine. I was exactly the same prior to this I really hate cleaning but I was having major renovations in the house going on so I needed a cleaning product that was good and wouldn't effect the pets since I was going to be cleaning A LOT but this makes it easy, you don't have to use much. I've ended up buying another 3 starter bundles that I haven't opened yet but the house hasn't been fully renovated yet so will get round to using them all up soon I imagine.

Hope you enjoy as much as I have 😁

Karenclan · 09/09/2019 14:21

Can you please send me the referral code too. Thanks

NicG1010 · 11/09/2019 05:43

@killpop I think I’m convinced, please could you send me the referral link to?
TIA
