Pleased to hear Ellie is OK EHM

My floors are drying so I'm having a few minutes MN time before heading out to collect ds and walk him up to school. My washing line and clothes horse are full so the next load of washing will have to wait - if the rain stays away I can try to hang it out after school. I have lots of other bits and pieces I could get on with for the next half-hour...but I can't be bothered

shouldbe · 04/07/2007 12:21

I second the (((hugs))) for you too EHM and some for you (((Luda))) - it's horrible when the kids are ill x x

EHM · 04/07/2007 12:57

Thanks shouldbe & luda for the {{hugs}}.luda {{hugs}} for you too

yaddayah · 04/07/2007 13:02

Carefull girls ! All these hugs and we'll be kicked out and forced to post on Babyworld

oh gawn then heres an awkward pat on the shoulder type gesture

EHM · 04/07/2007 13:24

lol at yadd I am sending you a gentle punch in the arm/shoulder, as a none girley type gesture

gibberish · 04/07/2007 13:24

to all of you. Don't do hugs but can cope with air kisses as long we don't actually make contact

Dropped dd2 off at horseriding. dd1 has taken dd3 and dd4 to the cinema (yay). So will go shopping with dd2 after I collect her from her lesson.

Lovely sunny day here

EHM · 04/07/2007 13:25

oooh just read that back, sounded better in my head

EHM · 04/07/2007 13:26

Hello there

Awwwh EHM and Luda too

re sunflowers, seems the errant garden snails have eaten mine (but not any of DS's six molluscs)

Bit narked with DH. He was doing the DS run this morning. He didn't check that DS had a nappy on before putting him to bed (cue wet bed) told me he was a little late dropping Ed off (!!) and when DH had left for work I noticed that DW not emptied/put away, wm not emptied or wet bed clothes loaded. I mean what's the point in me having a morning off if I have to run round like a scalded cat getting everything done before I collect DS?

Got PMT , so still quite fed up atm. Plus I didn't get the job I went for (poor interview skills it seems) ah well. there loss tbh. Plus I can do the course on working with SEN kids instead (then get a term time only job instead which will be better really for me)

So...Done list
Up and showered
Bathroom S&S
S&S Loo
Down with wet bedclothes
Empty WM
Load WM and run
Empty DW
Put away
Have breakfast
Tidy away
Make hair dressing appointment (1st in 3.5 years)
Sort out wet washing
take down drying stuff
Load and run TD
Collect Ds
Do 'Where's my Teddy" and 'It's the Bear' on DS's theatre
Make a teddy bear's picnic for lunch
Tidy away

To Do
Hang up wet washing
Contact about the course
Put away dry washing
Make DS tea (Steamed salmon with mushrooms broccoli and noodles I think
Re make Ds's bed

Have fun y'all

gibberish · 04/07/2007 13:45

EHM. They don't argue much infact they all get on really well amazingly. dd1 is very close to dd4 and dd2 with dd3, so it all works out nicely. Ask me again in a few years when I have a houseful of teens with raging hormones

Enjoy the hair appt grouchoscar. Sounds like you deserve it.

gibberish · 04/07/2007 13:46

Oops grouchYoscar

EHM · 04/07/2007 13:56

That good to hear gibberish
grouchy enjoy your well deserved hair appointment.Hope your PMT goes quickly, i think it should be called DHT or DPT

grouchyoscar · 04/07/2007 14:01

Thanks Gibberish and EHM - I will, haven't seen my hairdresser for too long (he and his DP have had a baby girl since so loads to catch up on) Plus I always liked stepping out of a salon the Leeds City Centre.

ludaloo · 04/07/2007 14:03

Awwww what a nice thread...full of Huggles!

(we call them huggles) That makes me even more elligable for Babyworld doesn't it!!

Kids both fast asleep....washing nearly there. Had to wash the blanket Ds was snuggled under, as he missed the bowl

My washing machine...and dryer don't know what has hit them today!!!

Hello to all. A very quick post as I'll be going out of the house in a few mins.

luda and EHM I hope the los in your houses get better soon. I was sorry to hear that you'd been upset EHM. I'm glad you're feeling better now.

I must go. See you tomorrow.

ludaloo · 04/07/2007 15:24

Well DD2 is stil asleep! I am beginning to think its a bad plan as she will not sleep tonight! I don't want to wake her though as she isn't well. Ds has kept some toast down.
Dh is going to collect DD1 for me.

I'm on my last load of washing HOORAH!!!!!

My friend has phoned to say her DD1 was sick last night too. The little boy across the road is sick and I spoke to the lady two doors up, her 1 year old DD and her 13 year old DD are both sick too! It seems like it has hit half the village!

I reckon its the water

Village life is mostly good but when it comes to bugs its a nightmare!!!

luda glad the end is near for the washing
*simplys& Hi & Thanks. Feel a bit silly getting upset. I was so worried had myself convinced the sign of blood from her mouth & on sheet was life threatening

Ellie is napping, it thundering so I am going to have a nap. Washing basket is empty, some of which is on airer because of this piggin rain.

Catch you later folks.x.

ludaloo · 04/07/2007 15:44

I now have no less than 7 piles of washing to put away....and a whole basket of ironing to do...

SOB.....SOB......

OP posts:
shouldbe · 04/07/2007 16:01

My washing all got soaked out on the line while I was at the school ...it's still out there cos I can't face bringing it in and having no-where to hang it anyway!

The school visit was fine - ds loved it which is a good sign and has made me feel more confident about him going up in Sept despite his young age

Kids are slumped in front of the TV so I'm going to do an early supper before Rainbows and then they can get on and go to bed once dd is home again....have no ideas as to what to make though - will probably be cheesy pasta (again)...stuck in a food rut at the moment when it comes to kids suppers

See you later x

grouchyoscar · 04/07/2007 16:15

Rebuilt the clothes airer - it's exhausted through over work
Made DS's bed
Empty TD
Put away
Load TD and run
Call re course (leave message)
Mail re an official document sent without my request

Ed is playing computer games (yeah yeah I know I know I'm wearing my 'I'm a crap trash mum' t shirt) I don't mind as it's his choice of activity, they are puzzle games he has to think about and be logial with. Plus he can't play out at the moment. He'll grow webbed feet and develop rising damp

Will do his tea at 5 then bath and freshly made bed (in a nappy this time)

Aufish · 04/07/2007 16:19

Only here quickly as visitor is still here. I'm missing my flying friends! Will be back again properly soon. Hope everyone is ok.

ludaloo · 04/07/2007 16:27

Hi aufish

grouchy my 2 played on the V-Smile for hours yesterday....doesn't do them too much harm (I hope)

shouldbe My ds goes up to school in January (he misses the september up take by a week or so) They do seem so small don't they
How do you do cheesy pasta BTW??? Is it pasta and cheese sauce?
I'm in a meal rut too....Jacket Potatoes tonight (If anyone has an appetite left!)

gibberish · 04/07/2007 16:29

Hello Aufish Nice to see you!

Well, have seen my hairdresser and booked the colour and style I want. Getting it done Saturday afternoon. Very nervous as I have long hair - have had it long forever - and am having it ALL chopped off Having a choppy look and colouring it mahogany blonde which is quite dark - is medium blonde atm... am I completely mad??

Off to finish the washing and make some dinner.

SimplySparkling · 04/07/2007 18:31

Just a quick post. Need to make the tea.

gibberish If you've faith in your hairdresser and you like the style and can do it yourself afterwards then go for it! If your hair is really quite long, would it be possible for it to be used (by some company or organisation) for a real hair wig or am I dreaming that one up?!
