So I've read the threads (for years!)
And obviously assumed you were all possessed.

Ended up in a discount shop yesterday buying my neighbour slippers and there it was.

It's tiny! Is this normal?
And scary... when diluted it becomes "non flammable ' there are more warning signs on the packaging than fairly toxic herbicides.

So, I've mopped my floors and the dogs are still alive.

What else can I do?

I've placed it carefully by its self in case it self combusts.

I'm sort of sold but DH is very dubious.

When I see these threads I always think it sounds promising, but then, years ago I thought that about a Yankee candle thread, and they turned out to be chokingly horrible.

Zoflorabore · 06/10/2018 09:26

There are tons and tons of different scents. All of the major supermarkets stock it aswell as places like B and M, Home Bargains etc.

The limited edition winter ones are extremely popular.

I keep the Fresh Linen one solely for laundry use and tend to stick to two or three favourites. Some of the people on the FB pages literally collect every one like a badge of honour and then upload the pics of them all lined up.
I prefer to use only the ones I like which makes sense!

Other uses are wiping the front door down with it, gives an illusion of a spotless house even if it isn't Grin

  • mopping the floor
  • pouring down smelly sinks/plugholes
  • spot cleaning carpets/rugs ( especially if anyone has vomited )
  • cleaning bins
  • all bathroom and kitchen cleaning
  • wiping banisters of stairs

The list is endless.

ParadiseLaundry · 06/10/2018 09:52

@Zoflorabore do you know when the Xmas ones are out? You seem like the person to ask Grin it doesn't seem quite right using the summery scented ones now the weather is getting colder. I have some Xmas ones left over off last year but they won't last long. I wish they would do more autumn scented ones like Pumpkin Spice or Pomegranate.

I use it in the litter trays, keep a spray bottle of it mixed with Stardrops in the kitchen for when I need to disinfect surfaces/bin etc an keep spray bottles in each of the bathrooms with Zoflo and Stardrops ammonia cleaner for the sinks and toilet. Always using scents corresponding to the season on course Wink

A580Hojas · 06/10/2018 09:59

I don't use any bleach, disinfectant or antibacterial cleaner anywhere in my house and it is perfectly clean and hygienic and smells gorgeous.

Zoflorabore · 06/10/2018 11:53

Paradise
I do the same with using summery ones in the summer etc, I'm currently using country garden as I love it anyway and lemon zing for my kitchen.

I remember it was the middle of October when I first got Winter Morning last year and I cleared the shelves of Asda Blush but lots of the other winter ones are already out such as winter spice and warm cinnamon.

I'm going on the lookout today.

MadisonMontgomery · 06/10/2018 11:58

Mountain Air is my favourite - it’s the pet one so I expected it to be a bit grim but it’s lovely.

Zoflorabore · 06/10/2018 12:02

Madison

Totally agree! It's gorgeous.
I smelt it in the shop out of curiosity and loved it so bought it even though I don't have any pets.

Furrycushion · 06/10/2018 12:10

I have Citrus something or other, it's a nice fresh smell. I use it for cleaning out animal cages (have to let it dry) and in the softener drawer when I wash cleaning clothes. I did try it in the bin but the kitchen towel dried up quickly & I couldn't smell it (plus worried about spontaneous combustion!)

Furrycushion · 06/10/2018 12:10

MsForestier · 06/10/2018 14:41

zoflorabore I've never cleaned my stairs banister. Never thought to. It's on my list now!

mrsoutnumbered · 06/10/2018 15:18

@A580Hojas I've just read the back of a box and it has scared the shit out of me!

Madbengalmum · 06/10/2018 15:26

Make sure the floor is dry before allowing pets on it as Zo is toxic and pets can injest when they lick their paws if floor is wet.

I really enjoyed the peach and pina colada summer editions, reminded me of holidays.

stayathomegardener · 06/10/2018 21:12

Shit I'm so conflicted.

On one hand I love the various scent recommendations and on the other I don't detox well so regularly have to infrared sauna @A580Hojas is this product really more toxic than other?

Scary small bottle is still in isolation.

On a separate note re kitchen questions the company to go through is Kitchen Exchange in London.

Hopefully attaching a photo of our bargain grown up kitchen. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

And back to neighbours feet.

I don't think she is unique, seemingly as we age both our feet and teeth fuck us over.

As far as I can see teeth get more publicity.

Look after your feet is my new motto.

stay-at-home your kitchen - me likey Grin

drinkswineoutofamug · 06/10/2018 22:10

I love zaflora. I have it ready made up in a spray bottle. Mop my floors. Clean my windows, damp dusting, woodwork, washing, drains, toilet, dab on the radiator. I like the grapefruit and fresh linen. Don't like the lavender. Looking for for the winter range coming in

7Days · 06/10/2018 22:24

Regarding the banisters - I always do after a bug has come into the house.
I do try to keep cleaning products very mild, but if someone has come down with d and v, swipe the banister, light swtches, door knobs and bathroom handles with it. Seems to work, touch wood.

EatingTheElephantInChunks · 06/10/2018 23:57

I am helping a friend sort out his house and I'm on my 5th bottle of Zoflora, among other things! I too like the little glass bottles. I started with Honeysuckle and Jasmine, I think, followed by Rose, Fresh Linen, Twilight Garden and now Lavender. I am looking forward to finding the old favourite Bouquet, and the Lemon mentioned by pps sounds right up my street. I'm a longstanding user of environmentally friendly cleaning products at home, (since long before it became fashionable), but feel that Cleaning Big Hitters like Zoflora are needed for my current task. I think I'll have worked my way through the whole range by the time I've finished. 🙇

BlackForestCake · 07/10/2018 00:57

The warnings on the label are there because it is so concentrated. You're not supposed to use it neat. It is not any more toxic than any other cleaning product when used properly, i.e. diluted. I recommend not ingesting any cleaning products.

MaHeidsGouping · 07/10/2018 12:32

Heres a list for you to work thru Grin

My favourite to clean the kitchen is Zoflora LemonZing and Method kitchen cleaner, the Clementine scent.

EatingTheElephantInChunks · 10/10/2018 19:56

Thanks for the list Ma. Only 3 that I don't like the sound of - Peach, Tropical and Berry. I'm quite looking forward to trying all the others - sad but true! - adds a bit of variety and excitement to the drudgery.

MaryBoBary · 11/10/2018 20:13

I’ve just bought the berry one because it was the only one left - thought I’d hate it but it’s not sickly and is very fresh. I really like it. Going to get the fresh linen to wash the bath mats with.

lifechangesforever · 11/10/2018 20:41

You need to use the pet friendly one for use on floors if you have them - it's called Mountain Air, my fave.

lifechangesforever · 11/10/2018 20:44

If you have pets that is, not floors. Confused

dementedpixie · 11/10/2018 20:50

They're all ok for use around animals as long as it's dried before they walk on it
