So I've read the threads (for years!)
And obviously assumed you were all possessed.

Ended up in a discount shop yesterday buying my neighbour slippers and there it was.

It's tiny! Is this normal?
And scary... when diluted it becomes "non flammable ' there are more warning signs on the packaging than fairly toxic herbicides.

So, I've mopped my floors and the dogs are still alive.

What else can I do?

I've placed it carefully by its self in case it self combusts.

I'm sort of sold but DH is very dubious.

It's a disinfectant rather than a cleaning product, so go easy with it. I use it to disinfect after pet accidents.

I put a few drops in homemade floor wash when I mop around the litter tray.

MaHeidsGouping · 05/10/2018 20:34

Is that Country Garden? if it is that one is a small glass bottle.

You'll find the bigger bottles in supermarkets, try Lemon zing or Twilight Garden.

stayathomegardener · 05/10/2018 20:36

But I love the small bottle, it's the only reason I bought it.
I put a capful in a full mop bucket of water, that's ok right?

Yep Country Garden. Should I be looking for another 'scent'?

Lemon sounds good.

Limoncello floors. Smile

Look for warm cinnamon and winter spice, B&M has them.

Betsy86 · 05/10/2018 20:38

Grin self combusts

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 05/10/2018 20:40

Woah, woah back up a bit....Buying your neighbour slippers?

troodiedoo · 05/10/2018 20:42

I mopped the floor with twilight garden and dd asked if I was wearing dkny Smile

LynetteScavo · 05/10/2018 21:49

I need to know more about your neighbours slippers....
And I'm wondering if this is just a stealth büßt do you can show off your new kitchen.

FrogFairy · 05/10/2018 22:47

Another one noticing your lovely kitchen.

Please talk to about your ovens with side opening doors...

stayathomegardener · 05/10/2018 23:09

The kitchen... the kitchen is a grown ups kitchen.

Rejected, unused from a house in London by an American banker, we bought it "second hand" as he was demolishing the house. Madness.
Four Gaggenau ovens, I've never used the steam oven, too much calibrating and reading of manuals.

If I'm struggling with Zoflora, steam ovens a whole other step up.

Neighbour and slippers, she is in her 80's and it's surprisingly hard to find slippers with a supportive heel, solid base and in a colour that won't show coal dust! Consequently I've been visiting a lot of obscure shops.

Am very interested in Cinnamon and winter spice

Put a capful on a bit of kitchen roll in the bottom of your bin op - no stinky bin!

Love the kitchen also!

ArrivisteRevolt · 06/10/2018 06:10

There’s so much we need to know.

  • How did you find said banker kitchen?
  • How do you know so much about your neighbours feet?

You are INTERESTING, OP, very interestingSmile

Monty27 · 06/10/2018 06:10

Can you mail me a drop? Just a drop to be sure we aren't poisoning anything. Well except germs Grin

flumpybear · 06/10/2018 06:22

Twilight garden is LOVELY! I also put a few drops in my kitchen bin - we have cats so stinky cat food goes in there so needs some superior support !

I put some in a spray bottle too with water for windowsills and painted doors and frames etc - husband mops the floor I think with it too

I've heard others use it in their washing machine

madvixen · 06/10/2018 06:29

I put a tiny bit in my washing machine when I'm doing towels and bedding.

Grab a damp cloth and put a couple of drops on. Stick cloth on warm radiator. Especially good with the cinnamon one Smile

Make up a small spray bottle of diluted Zoflora and use to spray carpets and curtains

Zoflorabore · 06/10/2018 06:46

As you can tell by my username, I quite like Zoflo Grin

Country garden is one of my favourites, as is bouquet.

The FB pages are hilarious, people are travelling miles to hunt down the new ones and even have colour co-ordinating spray bottles to match the colour of the box!

The winter ones are due out soon and the best is called Winter Morning. I seriously stockpiled last year but ran out and can't wait to see it. Due out any day now.

Zoflora has many uses. It's great to wipe down worktops with, radiators, door frames etc. Smell is very objective and I know lots of people like one called "Twilight Garden" and post pics of their shopping haul with 87 bottles of it, I hate it.

Another good tip is to find your favourite, dab some on some cotton wool balls and then hoover them up, makes the whole house smell gorgeous.

MsForestier · 06/10/2018 06:50

Organised Mum has Zoflora safety info sent to her from the makers of Zoflora. They ask you not to use it in electrical appliances nor mix it with things like bicarb. I can entirely see why people put it in machines because it smells fab. Maybe it's the flammability issue.

brainstormer123 · 06/10/2018 06:51

Anymore tips of what to use it on? I've just bought a bottle and other than diluting it for kitchen spray I have no other ideas! Thanks! Xx

MsForestier · 06/10/2018 06:54

The person who cleans our building in work has several different zoflora scents which she uses on different buildings depending on the 'personality' of the building. Then the powers that be told her she couldn't use non authorised cleaning products and that she'd be fired if she did so she stopped Sad

A580Hojas · 06/10/2018 06:57

I'm honestly shocked that people are happy to breathe in the fumes of this highly toxic substance day in day out.

keepingbees · 06/10/2018 07:13

I have to limit use of mine as it gives a tight chest if I use it all through the house. I put a cap full in a washing up bowl of hot water, use it to wipe all the kitchen down, then leave it in the bowl until the water cools, it's makes the house smell lovely.
I've never managed to find the Christmas scents, I'd love the cinnamon one. My favourites are the pink grapefruit and fresh linen. A couple I've tried have been awful though. Lavender is nice but Lavender Escape to me smelt like pritt stick!

mrsoutnumbered · 06/10/2018 09:03

I've been using it to clean the floors as I am potty training my youngest... but after that I'm not sure when I'll use it to be honest! I don't feel like anything really needs disinfecting on a regular basis.

Seems people use it for the scent rather than the fact it disinfects?

OhWhyNotGinAndTonicPlease · 06/10/2018 09:09

I bought some on the sage advice of seasoned mumsnetters and was so disappointed as mine smelt horrible. I didn't know it came in different scents, no idea what scent mine was but I will seek out some of the others and have another go.

dementedpixie · 06/10/2018 09:17

I use it in the fabric softener dispenser bit of the machine when washing smelly gym kit
