SimplySparkling · 12/06/2007 17:35

Hello to all.

A quick post as ds says that I can only have 5 mins on the PC and then I must help him to make the banana cakes! Truth be told, I need to crack on and get changed out of work clothes and make the tea, anyway. I haven't read the thread but hope to this evening.

Done:-
~ ring friend who rang whilst I was away
~ ring friend to say thanks for party dd went to
~ work
~ got ds new school shoes
~ paid off balance on Dorothy Perkins card (apparently, if you do it the day after buying something, sometimes the system doesn't have time to clobber you with the 1 1/2 % price protection charge so I'm giving it a go)

Still to do:-
~ write e-mail to cousin in good time for b/d
~ lots more e-mails incl scouts one
~ ironing
~ carry junk back to spare bedroom, sorting out as much as poss.
~ buy baby gift
~ buy body spray, hankies

I think my time is up so I'll see you later!

tortoise · 12/06/2007 17:36

We don't have a goodie box either, or I know I'd raid it all the time.
Kids have been in bed since 6 - both v tired this eve. PIL have just left.
I shouldbe clearing up /hoovering/mopping now but really can't be bothered so will be sitting on the sofa in front of the TV for the next hour or so, then having a nice hot bath and getting to bed
See you all tomorrow x

Hello again to all.

yadda Sorry, none of the 3 banana cakes will live to see tomorrow. One is going to be eaten by us, one by one next door neighbour and one by another neighbour. From past experience, they don't last long!

luda No, I'm not that good, honest! I bought something about 6 wks ago and decided it made me look half a stone heavier than I am and I haven't returned it, yet. I bought it from a shop Porthmadog way, which was a mistake, I guess.

Right. I must go and walk the dog, even if very briefly before getting the kids off to bed. Dh is away for days, so it is my job atm. See you later, but not for long as I must get cracking with the ironing.

ludaloo · 12/06/2007 20:09

Bye bye shouldbe

All my kids are asleep too this music milarky works a treat!

I have been watching next door....very long story, but basically it is privately owned but had been rented to a couple of men. (I never had any problems with them...both pleasent enough...although there was a lot of gossip going round) Anyway....rumour had it they had not been paying the rent etc. etc. and the owners had to go to court to get them out. One of the blokes left about 3 months ago...the other left last week.
All this week the poor owners (elderly couple)have been over to try and clean it up The last bloke out had double locked the doors so they arrived at the weekend and couldn't get in....my dh had to break in!!
It is truly a sight to behold The place is filthy. Dh said it was really awful...he just went straight to the door and let the owners in and didn't hang around.
They had 4 cats (and had one room covered in newspaper and cat litter....)
They had left all the furniture and pretty much everything! The couple and their son had to wear surgical gloves to move everything out. There is a big pile of rotten, filthy furniture out in the road ready for the council to collect tomorrow. Its grim you can smell it as you walk past.

It is like something you see on the tele!!!

I feel really, really sorry for the old couple.....and really, really grateful we are detached!!!!

Its funny isn't it...you really have no idea what goes on behind closed doors.

(They clearly didn't FLY!!!!)

Well I'm gonna sit here for a bit and have a nice glass of coke
