Morning ladies [bleary eyed emoticon]

My 3 were up at some un godly hour this morning (typical!) Its not very often I don't get up with them but I just couldn't keep my eyes open!....half an hour of dozing, DD1 comes up to inform me she has fed the fish, and the cat, opened the curtains, got them all a drink and could I reach the bread for her so she can do toast so I had to get up!
She did a very good job! Cat had biscuits....she didn't over feed the fish, and rather than attempt to make drinks she had got the washing basket as a step and reached the juice cartons out the fridge (usually for packed lunches)
I had a feeling of dread when she came up and told me....but actually all was fine. (thank god the bread was out of reach though!!!!!!!)

Anyway...I'm off to wake up properly

I had a nice holiday thankyou, but have tons of laundry to do, andants in my kitchen, so I will be cleaning everything (fil turned up and stayed whle we were away and I think he has spilled sugar somewhere) and washing all day.

DD2 has a Ranbows activity this afternoon, and DD1 still has homework to do.

I love an independant child, ludaloo She sounds very sensible

have had a row with dh now... Fed up. We're both getting stressed about the car and now the cat is still poorly and the vet is only open once I'm at work and dh is out with FIL...could really do without all this....
Have to go to work in 30mins - we have to drop the kids off with a friend for half and hour while dh runs me to work in his van cos the car mustn't be driven

Aw shouldbe hope you have a good morning. What's wrong with the cat?

ludaloo and ehm Boss is the MD (I'm his PA) and he's up the wall with staff making lots of daft mistakes and as a result has Clients shouting at him at the moment. So can understand why he is stressed although he's ok with me (atm!). But when they are stomping around shouting at people it causes such an uncomfortable atmosphere doesn't it? And ofcourse I was in a state of nerves making sure that I didn't make any mistakes as that would have been the final straw for him and my head would have ben off lol.

Anyway the weekend is here yaay!! And the sun is out! Going to have a barbecue today.

Loads to do... need to make a list in a minute.

Drop dd1 at my sister's house
Make list and send dh for the week's shopping
Get kids to tidy their rooms
Tidy everywhere else
Hoover

Wash older girls bedding
Do rest of the washing

Clean upstairs bathroom
Thur & Fri missions (havent looked at them yet)

Then in preparation for plumber:

Completely clear utility room.
Sort out shoes/coats/bags for recycling or storage
Take wardrobe to recycling plant
Hoover and dust

Completely clear out little bathroom
Clean
Hoover & Clean

Spend some time with kids??????

Okay, have completely cleared out utility room and bathroom in readiness for work starting next week. Taken MASSES and MASSES of stuff to be recycled and more masses of bags for chucking .

It feels GOOD! Going to get so organised. Was watching Anthea the other night (what a sad life I have..) and she was talking about 'zoning' i.e. having things stored where they will be used. Seems so logical but I don't appear to be doing that. So have taken tonnes of stuff which have been sitting downstairs up to bedrooms and into other rooms where they really should be. House now looks like a bomb has hit it, but will be worth it once it is done. Got to get a move on though as we have decided to take girls out to an agricultural show this afternoon (cows/horses/dog shows etc).

Tomorrow am doing my 10k run so wish me luck guys and think of me at 11. It is forecast to rain.

Hello to all. I'm back from my trip away. Okay overall. We had some lovely meals and saw some places we wouldn't normally see but I had hoped it would be more educational but it was more leisure based, the leisure bits being stuff I don't like. 4 days away is a lot if you don't feel you've had much out of it. The hotel was lovely but I only got to see the dining room, breakfast room, reception and bedroom and I would have liked to have had time to enjoy the facilities there. It would have been a big treat. Never mind, I'll have to try to enter some competitions with hotel stays as the prize instead! MIL liked her gifts, dd hers and ds will get his tomorrow. I think he'll like them.

I'm up to my ears in laundry and the w/m is on load no 4 or 5 so I'll try to keep this brief. I hope all are fit and well. I'll catch up with you as the week goes on I expect.

Done:-
~ several loads of washing
~ stripped 4 beds and gathered up used bath towels
~ brekkie, lunch
~ dd to activity (ds is there as well and they are not back until tomorrow so dh and I have the house to ourselves until then! )
~ dh has gone to town to run some errands and do food shopping.

To do:-
~ ring friend who rang whilst I was away
~ ring friend to say thanks for party dd went to
~ write e-mail to cousin in good time for b/d
~ sort out scouts info needed/money etc
~ finish putting away clothes that are currently all over my bed after unpacking
~ continue with washing/drying/ironing
~ put away food shopping when dh gets back
~ recycle newspapers
~ tidy up mess I made in garage
~ carry junk back to spare bedroom, sorting out as much as poss. It's not really junk, lots of outgrown girls' clothes that I dread to think about trying to sell and I don't know what else apart from a dolls house and I think I can give that to a family living locally.

Did I say that I was going to keep this brief? I'm going to go and crack on with it!

I'm back from work and in better spirits Sorry about this morning, haven't been in that kind of mood for a while. Never let me moan about MIL again - she's been a star today - she took the cat to the vet and drove across to collect me from work this afternoon.
After much debate cat was taken to the vet and has been diagnosed (no idea how to spell that)with a tummy infection (from eating too many mice most probably!)and so has had a couple of jabs, some medicine to take for the next few days and a special diet - over-all cost of treatment £75
Work was good, got lots done so the place should be able to survive while I'm on holiday

I'm about to go and do some laundry then I'm hoping to get MIL to help me do some gardening, it's a beautiful day here

We had a lovely afternoon at the agricultural show. Bought two kites and had a whale of a time flying them - the girls loved it.

Off to my sis for a barbecue in a bit. Managed to get most things done - just off to finish tidying upstairs, give it a final hoover and quickly do the bathroom and that is that. Why on earth am I doing it? It is all going to be in a tip again next week with the plumbers and electricians coming in...
