Morning ladies [bleary eyed emoticon]

My 3 were up at some un godly hour this morning (typical!) Its not very often I don't get up with them but I just couldn't keep my eyes open!....half an hour of dozing, DD1 comes up to inform me she has fed the fish, and the cat, opened the curtains, got them all a drink and could I reach the bread for her so she can do toast so I had to get up!
She did a very good job! Cat had biscuits....she didn't over feed the fish, and rather than attempt to make drinks she had got the washing basket as a step and reached the juice cartons out the fridge (usually for packed lunches)
I had a feeling of dread when she came up and told me....but actually all was fine. (thank god the bread was out of reach though!!!!!!!)

Anyway...I'm off to wake up properly

Hello everyone
Shouldbe Glad the cat will be ok.
Luda Well done to your DD1.
GF Good luck for tomorrow.I am sure you will do just fine.

Had a busy day shopping today.Went to Icelands and then spent nearly £60 on clothes for all 4 kids in tesco! Juat a few items each but soon adds up.
Also spent loads on suncream.I am so glad Boots do bogoff on suncream.Saved £26 thanks to them.We go through masses of the stuff. Shame xp1 doesn't. DS's didn't have any cream on all day.Grrrr!

Hope everyone is having/has a good evening.

Aufish · 09/06/2007 21:08

hello, just popping in to say hello as well.

been out for most of the day so have done no housework at all, but now that the house has cooled down I'm going to be doing some ironing whilst I watch "The Devil wears Prada"

Hope everyone is well, and kiddie winks are all ok.

Aufish · 10/06/2007 01:47

I need to go to bed!!!!!!!!
I have just hung out a load of washing on the line put a load in the washer and a load of towels in the dryer! Its 1.47am, I need to go to bed!!!!!!!!

Jas · 10/06/2007 06:55

I love people who hang washing out in the dark I've done it too Aufish.

Good morning all. Today I have a small chance of getting to the bottom of the washin g basket. I also need to sort out school things for tomorrow, and I really want to go back to bed and get some more sleep when dp gets up.

When we were away last week, we brought ds into our bed when he woke at 6 and he slept with us for another hour or more. I've tried it again here and he won't do it. I get hit in the head with the phone and everything else he can reach, then he gets off the bed and heads for the stairs.

shouldbe I'm glad you felt better by the end of the day yesterday. I hope your cat recovers soon. (You spelled diagnosed right btw)

I hope everyone is well, back later with a list.

glitterfairy - I hope you enjoy your run today, and do a time you are happy with. Is it Racefor Life?

As a non-runner, I am very impressed by those with the motivation and dedication to do it.

GlassSlipper · 10/06/2007 07:53

Morning all. Both Dds up at 6 so we've all had breakfast and I've sorted the kitchen out. Have a lovely day.

ludaloo · 10/06/2007 09:02

Morning

All is quiet in the ludaloo household ATM!! Very rare!
We decided to walk to our nearby Rally Track (we live right underneath an off road mountain track) Considering DH builds gearboxes for this type of car, and we live so close to a track, we very very rarely go and watch them race (which is a bit mad really, but we just never have the time usually...and the thought doesn't usually fill me full of excitement!) But it was Brilliant!! It was a beautiful day...we took a picnic and watched the cars from the shade of a big oak tree. The kids loved it. And it was more fun than I had imagined. DH also got chatting to people and now has a new customer! We are going back up at the next one and taking some business cards!!

We then spent the late afternoon in the pub garden, when we arrived home, some friends had called to invite us to a bar-b-que....so we went to theirs and it was really nice (they overlook a beautiful valley...the weather was still gorgeous and the kids all played in their pool)

We came back very late though so the two eldest kids stayed at our friends. I woke up this morning and all is silent! DD2 is still asleep (as is dh)I have put cbeebies on still though!!!!????

shouldbe I'm glad your day got better and the cat is going to be ok

Hello SS nice to have you back....sorry to hear it wasn't quite what you would have liked...but that gives you the perfect excuse to go somewhere else to make up for it [wink

Jas hope you get rid of the rest of those ants .... little buggers aren't they!

Aufish Hope you got some sleep!! (I have been known to stay up late, still FLYing....maybe not quite that late though!!)

Hi Glasss Hope you have a good day out today

Right, well... I'd better get on....D/W needs loading and running, washing needs to go in....and above all the pets need attention today...the fish need the filter replaced and the poor hamster (still hanging on in there) needs its bedding changed.

See you all in a bit

OP posts:
ludaloo · 10/06/2007 09:09

Oh and forgot to add.... have to go into town to get DH a new phone. His phone (his brand new phone I hasten to add) dropped out the top pocket of his overalls as he was leaning over a barrell of waste oil!! ....by the time he had fished it out it was not looking happy (its well and truly knackered) Sooooo we have to go and get him a new one before Monday!

Morning all
glitter Good Luck today

Ended the day yesterday feeling very Had an awful time with dd at bedtime, she gets unbearably bad tempered when she's tired and can't accept that she needs to calm down, relax and rest...it makes for some very unpleasant times and makes me really question my parenting abilities
But, this morning we have all woken up feeling a bit better after a good nights sleep. Dd is going to church soon with my parents while dh, ds and I head into the shops to quickly get some bits we need for holiday (feeling low so anxiety is high for traveling into town)
I have a busy week ahead so need to start getting ready for holiday well in advance.
Also need to~
~get cases from loft
~washing
~start putting clean clothes to one side
~clean kitchen (it's gotten really bad)
~gardening
That'll do, I have Tuesday morning to do a big blitz on the housework before we go so I'm leaving most jobs till then.
See you all later

ludaloo · 10/06/2007 09:50

ooooooh yes...GF good luck with your run! fingers crossed it doesn't rain

shouldbe {{{HUGS}}} hope you have a better day today. You'll be fine...try not to pannic about the house, dd, holiday, shopping, packing etc. just have a quick time out and you'll be ok. You have been very wise to start so early, it will all come together in the end (It usually always does ) You don't need to get the house spotless, having a good relaxing holiday is the important thing

Well...I've done the fishtank...
Going to have a bath now

OP posts:
shouldbe · 10/06/2007 10:12

I'm not too panicy about the holiday, I have everything in order mostly - it's just that we have so many extras on this week too - birthdays (with a birthday supper to provide), after-school play dates, PIL coming, pre-school duties etc etc all of which I could do without! It'll all be fine, I'm not too worried about getting the house tidy-ish (it's only my dad coming in to feed the cat so no worries there) and the clothes etc are mostly clean already anyway...
It's just finding the time to relax this week and the time to feel calm about the 5 hour drive to Cornwall etc that's building up a bit...I've managed before so will manage again I am looking forward to getting away Anyway - we're off to town now (my stomach is churning already ) see you later x

Aufish · 10/06/2007 11:07

Good morning, have just woke up, to find that the kids have been doing the washing up for me! They are great kids!

Have just hung out another load of washing and bought in the load that I put out this morning.

Shouldbe whereabouts in Cornwall are you going? The journey is not bad down, have done it many times with the kids and they love it once we get past the M5 and onto the A30 as they love the change of scenery. Have a fab time down there and eat loads of pasties!!!! I know I would!!!

shouldbe · 10/06/2007 14:03

I'm back Managed to get into town and got everything we needed (sandals for ds, shoes for dh and some other bits )
Need to have a nice lunch then I hope to do some gardening for a bit while dh washes the car (not that the blardy thing deserves a wash!)
Aufish we'll be staying near Padstow, north Cornwall ...and I do intend to eat plently of yummy pasties

Jas · 10/06/2007 14:58

glitterfairy · 10/06/2007 15:06

Hello everyone and thanks for the good luck messages. I did a time of 1.20 and wasnt last this time but in the heat of seaside town at 28/29 degrees with no breeze and loads of hills it was a big effort.

The kids were brill and ran two milers whilst I was out and were telling everyone how proud of me they were which almost made me cry until they had finished pouring water on my head!

Anyway am now going to make burgers for tea as a treat (although diet recipe LOL).

Hope everyone has had a good weekend my house does look better as well and tomorrow I will get on with it properly.

Aufish · 10/06/2007 15:37

Jas that is the beauty of having older kids, I now can lie in after years of getting up at the crack of dawn with the kids, it only stopped last summer and how I enjoyed it after 11 years!

Jas · 10/06/2007 15:56

It is a down side to having a 5 year gap. The older ones can be relied on to leave me alone for a bit, but it is pointless with a 15 month old.

Well done glitterfairy

glitterfairy · 10/06/2007 16:22

Thank you gibberish, shouldbe and jas. Just get out there gibberish and apply the fly mentality it really works. Baby steps and then more when needed. It is the routine which works in flying as well as running.
